Hello and welcome to the Control Freaks Blog Hop for June. This month, we are celebrating "New Catalog Goodies." There are so many that it's hard to choose, but if you know me, you know I love anything aquatic themed, so I decided to try out the new Seascape Bundle and Layering Diorama Dies. How
I've been given more congrats, thank you and "just because" cards and goodies recently. And I have 21 of them that I want to share with you today that are all made with current products
Hi, The stitching on the Basic White card (#159228) and the Bermuda Bay card (#131286) is achieved with the Stitched With Whimsy Dies (#155314). However these dies don’t actually cut, they only do the stitching. As I wanted to cut the card parallel to the stitching, rather than just a rectangular card, I lightly marked around the outside of die onto the card with a pencil, then cut the pieces, then used the die to do the stitching. I stamped the butterflies from the Floating & Fluttering stamp set (#154424) onto the White “stitched” card, using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). I coloured the images with a variety of Stampin’ Blends - Calypso Coral (#154881), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Mango Melody (#154888), Bermuda Bay (#154878), Pool Party (#154894), Night Of Navy (#154891) and Granny Apple Green (#154885). After colouring, I cut the butterfly image with a Fluttering Die (#154318). These are cut in one piece with the one die. I attached the Bermuda Bay card & Basic White card to the Basic White base card, then attached the cut out butterflies with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) above where I had cut them out. “Birthday Wishes” is from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set (#149346) and stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#147096). I used the Messages Die (#154422) to cut the sentiment and this was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly I added the Flowers For Every Season Gems (#153645) to the body of one butterfly and to the card. Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

I’m so excited to be the Guest Designer on the Pear Blossom Press blog today—go check it out! We really got the party started for my favorite puffins by adding lights to the celebration for some extra special cards! This was a lot simpler than it sounds because I’m using EZ Lights, which are pre-wired and ready to go. The cards come together quickly without the fuss of planning out and creating a paper circuit. I’ve got a tutorial showing you how to create a basic lighted flat card and then a bo
A few potted plants and a little hello. This card will certainly brighten someone's day. The Bloom Where You're Planted Suite is on trend and fun.
Happy Thursday everyone! It’s the 4 week of our annual CASE the Catalog inspiration and oh my…we have a BEAUTIFUL card for you! Wait until you see what our wonderful team did with this…
I could not stop playing with the new Bloom Where You're Planted suite with the Plentiful Plants stamp and coordinating dies. They have this fun boho look to them that I am trying to get in my newly finished rec room. I am now hooked on the HGTV show with the twins from Unsellable Houses!! These cards remind me of how they decorate, 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 This first set has a Cinnamon Cider mat layer and details. That cute wood paneling back ground is included in the Bloom Where You'r Planted DSP pack. The Thank You sentiment is from the Pansy Patch set and made from the Double Oval Punch. I also used one of the small pots from the Welcoming Window stamp set. Some of the plants are stamped and die cut and some are fussy cut from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. The Dear Friend card uses the Hippo & Friends Dies to make the shaped frame. I used an old retired embellishment for the top of the hanger -the copper colored element worked well. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 The second set uses the black and white DSP from the Hostess Awards, Pattern Play - this can be earned with Stampin' Rewards by hosting a party or placing an order with $180 in sales. I love this paper because one side of the paper are some wonderful colored patterns that seem to coordinate with many of the stamp sets in this catalog and the other side are all black and white patterns which go with anything!! Again, with the hanging plant card - I used the Hippo & Friends dies for the black background piece. The Just a note sentiment is from a very old Sale-a-bration stamp called Home to Roost, The window card uses the Window Flower Box dies for the window frame. I just backed that with a piece of Basic White that I used my blender brush and Balmy Blue Ink on to make it look like a bit of sky out the window! This also used a small pot die from the Window Flower Box dies, the succulent plant in the middle is fussy cut from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. The sentiment is from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. After planting a bunch of real plants in the yard and my patio pots - I can say this was much less messy and a lot more fun!! I hope you enjoyed these cards! 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 If this is your type of gardening too - my shop is open 24/7!! Just click here! I was so excited that the Sale-a-bration Catalog had coordinating items to go with the 2021-22 Annual Catalog. I received the Shaded Summer Stamp set as a free gift from Stampin’ Up! and LOVE that they decided to add a coordinating set of dies (Summer Shadow dies) that I could get also for FREE out
At first this stamp set baffled me; what would I do with it? Well leave it up to the creativity of others to spark my own! I got some ideas online and all of a sudden I couldn't stop! I shared all of these cards and tips on making them on this week's Tuesday FB Live. Look! The card above is my favorite. It truly makes me smile! Cute, You've Got Mail! card for the Inspire Create Challenge. Using the fun Snail Mail Suite bundle, it's a fun, square card of happy mail!
While indulging myself with some free craft time after completing the cutting of next week's class kits, and completing a card for another challenge, I rolled with the flow and turned to Just Add Ink for further inspiration. When I looked at the image, I saw one of the new In-Colours, Pale Papaya, and ran with that along with a touch of Bumblebee. I've also included two of the other new In-Colours, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I reached for what is fast becoming a new go-to set for me: the Quiet Meadow bundle, which is available from 3 May. As the photo had strong vertical lines, I used a strip of Pale Papaya DSP along the edge. I used the 2021-23 In-Colour Stampin' Write markers, and Bumblebee from the 2020-22 collection, to colour the floral image from Quiet Meadow and stamped that. I added some extra tiny flowers in Bumblebee and Pale Papaya, as well as the script stamp, then some splatters in Soft Succulent. The other part of the bundle is the Meadow dies and they are the most amazing floral dies, rather like large silhouettes. I've cut two cornflowers and the fern foliage and sponged them in Bumblebee, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent and arranged them over the stamped imagery. The sentiment, and sentiment label, are also from the same bundle. To finish, I've added in three of the new In-Colour gems, these ones in Evening Evergreen. All of these products: DSP, stamps, dies and inks, and embellishments will be available from 3 May.
