These pictures show various street scenes from Stoke-on-Trent throughout the years. Take a look at children collecting coal on the slag heaps or in the middle of a road now long gone to make way for new houses. You may remember when cowboys and Indians from Billy Smart's Circus came to Hanley to delight the crowds with a battle which included real horses!
