1937 Radio Cabinet Upcycled Into a Lighted Minibar!: Pictures from a radio cabinet that I turned into a mini bar for my house. Rain glass front, shelf glass inside is from 1886. There is a story behind these so bare with me. My dad gave my an old stereo cabinet he'd found on the side of the road along with a box of records left with it. In that box of records was an eclectic mix of music all belonging to "Lois" (she'd written her name on every album cover!). In that collection I found these amazing records from the days of the Polynesian cultural obsession. My absolute favorite being the "Paradise Found" vinyl. I imagine Lois and her party attendees in a 60's bungalow chatting and milling about while sipping 60s cocktails in their grandiose 60s hairdos with awesome 60s attire. Or maybe Lois just sat around on the couch drinking a Mai Tai listening to the needle scroll across the plastic cast goodness. Either way, I adore them, and these are their tribute. Woven onto gold plated triangles and finished with 14k gold filled ear wires. About 3.5 inches in length. Made to order.

1942 Philco Radio Wine Bar: I picked this radio up on craigslist for $55 in a nonworking condition. The challenge will be cutting the front to allow for access to the inside since the 1/4" top did not lend itself to cutting and hinging.

The inside label of this tells me the following: Philco Radio & Telephone Corporation Philadelphia, Pa 29 45 39-3611 Superheterodyne This has not been tested as it looks to be the original wires - so NOT plugged in. cabinet and electrical sold as is It measures in at: Cabinet: width: 12” height: 40” length: 24” This is a solid beautiful old stereo cabinet. The detail at the lower bottom is in amazing condition- no chips or cracks. The radio face is original to the piece, I can say the knobs all turn and are in tact - not chipped or cracked. The back of the cabinet is filled with dust, but that is an easy fix. The fabric on the front is original. I don't know if any of this works, the knobs on the radio do turn and click. This is being sold as is, in as found condition. I can not say that anything works, but what a great cabinet to put your new stereo pieces into a hipster retro home / studio.
