Hello stamping friends! I'm sharing with you a project I've recently created using the Perennial Lavender Suite products which are coming out in the new 2024 Stampin' Up! Jan - April Mini Catalogue. This is a mega suite in the catalouge with 2 stamp and die bundles, beautiful DSP, Purple Shimmer Gems and Paper Butterfly accents. I can't wait for you to see the catalogue so you can see these products too. I needed a gift bag over the weekend and we didn't have the right size so with all the products that I've got in my stash, AKA collection, I'm like "why don't I quickly make one". I just searched a basic gift bag tutorial on Pinterest, and there are lots out there and just used one of those. And because the sheet of DSP that I used had a beautiful design the bag really didn't need to be intricate at all. How gorgeous is the Perennial Lavender DSP by the way? I love that throughout the DSP pack there is minimal white and it is nearly all colour! It's just so stunning. The bag handles are using retired 5/8" Burlap Ribbon still had in my stash. Every gift bag has to have a matching gift tag right? I used the Perennial Postage Dies to cut the tag and then used the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing folder to emboss the tag. This embossing folder is a Sale-a-bration item combined with a stamp set meaning that here in Australia if you spend $180 on product (not including postage and handling) from 4th Jan - 29 Feb 2024 you can get the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set and Embossing Folder for free. To finish off the tag I layered some Vellum Basics Specialty DSP, some more of the Perennial Lavender DSP, a piece of Fresh Freesia die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, one of the Paper Butterfly Accents from the suite, and some of the gorgeous Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. The Happy Birthday comes from the Retired Cottage Rose stamp set. I just liked the smaller size of it and it layered perfectly with the elements on my tag. I do hope that you like my little sneaky peek with these new and gorgeous products and I hope that I've given you a little inspiration in using them. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Stamping time was short yesterday as I had to make some Christmas cookies that are needed for this weekend so I ended up combining 2 of my favorite challenges to get the ball rolling so all I had to do was choose the stamp set and papers. The colors are from Color Throwdown and the layout is from Freshly Made Sketches. Having a few of the thousands of creative possibilities narrowed down really helped me make this card quickly. And I was able to use so many new products! The Planted Paradise stamp set will be in the upcoming Stampin' Up! January-April mini catalog. I don't know if it's one I would have chosen myself before seeing any samples but it was a giveaway from Stampin' Up! after participating in a demonstrator event called OnStage about a month ago and I definitely don't say no to free stamps!! This stamp set is a Reversibles which means that there is an image on one side and then if you flip the stamp over it has solid shape stamp on the opposite which can be used to fill in the first image or used on its own for more versatility. I only used the image sides on this card but am looking forward to playing around with the possibilities. Starting with the Basic White thick card base I added a panel of Basic White that is embossed with the upcoming Sale-a-bration (SAB) reward Softly Sophisticated embossing folder. To follow the sketch I next added a piece of Nature's Sweetness DSP in a gold foil leafy pattern. Look for this paper pack to be very popular once it can be ordered. On a square of Basic White I created my little layout. The large planter is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and fussy cut. Then I stamped 3 large leaves in Garden Green then filled in the veining with Granny Apple Green light Blends marker. I fussy cut the leaves then adhered them together with the planter onto the the square. Using my Take Your Pick tool with the large stylus I picked up gold gold ink from a non-SU ink pad and highlighted the centers of the flower design on the pot to bring a bit of the challenge color to the plant elements. Next I stamped the square pot in Blueberry Bushel and fussy cut it and popped it with dimensionals. The smaller plant is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and then filled in with Lemon Lime Twist light Blends marker. I fussy cut the plant and popped it up just tucked behind the pot. The Planted Paradise stamp set doesn't come with any sentiments so I looked through all of my new stamp sets to see which set has a sentiment that would fit the space. I found this one in the Notes of Nature stamp set and stamped it in Memento black. The whole panel is then popped on dimensionals over the gold DSP. Lastly I added 2 Brushed Brass Butterflies to the plants for the final touch. All of the current supplies used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Items below marked with a * will be available starting January 4, 2024 either to purchase or to earn free with purchased during Sale-a-Bration. If you can't wait to order these products JOIN MY TEAM and choose them in your Starter Kit today! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Planted Paradise*, Notes of Nature* Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Memento Black, gold Blends: Granny Apple Green light, Lemon Lime Twist light Paper: Basic White thick, Basic White, Nature's Sweetness DSP* Accessories: dimensionals, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Softly Sophisticated embossing folder*(SAB)

We are back with our first Stamping Symphony InstaHop of 2024 today, sharing our favourite new items in the January - April Mini Catalogue. I was really excited to see the Enduring Beauty products being offered: a stamp set with coordinating decorative masks (stencils) and dies. So much fun to play with! I started using just the stamp set for my project today, and then at the end of this post I'll share an example that uses the stencils for a totally different look: At first glance this card might seem very simple, but with closer inspection you'll see that I added a ton of dimension and texture. I stamped multiple copies of the floral image and fussy cut different sections, layering them with dimensionals. Here are top- and side-view images of how that looks: I used the new Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to a white panel, and matted that on a thin layer of black cardstock. I also matted a plain piece of white cardstock onto black, which showcased the contrast. I offset all of my images to the far left of my card base (5.5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25"). My sentiment, from the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set, is heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock, which I tucked in behind my floral layers. Some splattered Basic Black Blends and Basic Rhinestones finishes the front of this very special card. On the inside I added a cut off strip of the stamped and splattered floral image, and my favourite Paper Pumpkin sentiment. I find myself going to that stash over and over these days, there is such a variety of fonts and sentiments in those kits! Last week I shared this project on my Instagram page, which used all of the items in the Enduring Beauty lineup. I stenciled the floral in Fresh Freesia and Berry Burst, and the leaves in Lost Lagoon, just building up the inks. Because I was matting this on black cardstock I die cut the leaves and then coloured in the white edges with my Black Blends marker. I also heat embossed the floral image across the background in white for a custom look. Thank you for checking out my project today. Please head to Instagram to see what the rest of the team has for you from the new mini catalogue! Happy Crafting, Barb
