Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Colours of Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP.
Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're all making cards featuring Fun Folds! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge! I headed on over to the Resources Section of SCS to pick out a fold for my card today. There are SO many choices, but I finally decided to go with the Folded Paper Frame. SUPER easy to create and I just LOVE the final result! I pulled out the FABULOUS Sew Nifty set from My Favorite Things and stamped the sewing machine in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of patterned paper. All of the patterned paper used on my card is Lost and Found/Union Square from My Minds Eye. I used another pattern to create the Folded Paper Frame for around the focal image. I added a border of another pattern using the Simply Scallops Die-Namics, and I added some lace trim and Charcoal Baker's Twine for a bit of embellishment. Using the Sew Nifty Die-Namics, I die cut the scissors out of Black Licorice Cardstock and hung them off the twine. Love that! Simple black pearls in each corner, and some machine stitching, complete the front. For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, and under the panel for a message, I stamped "You Really Are Sew Special". Some more sewing and the inside is complete. The card base is Fossil Cardstock. Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card: Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Recipe: Stamps: Sew Nifty from My Favorite Things Paper: Fossil (MFT), Black Licorice (MFT), Choice Buttercream (TE) and Lost & Found/Union Square (My Minds Eye) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Black Pearls, Lace Trim, Charcoal Baker's Twine, Sew Nifty Die-Namics, Simply Scallops Die-Namics, Sewing Machine and Jody Boosters Jodi

Hi again, Firstly, I am taking a well deserved break for a couple of weeks but I will be back again soon. Today’s card is another easy one again using the Frames & Flowers 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#163765). The Petal Pink card front (#147009) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), then matted with Pretty Peacock card (#150886). This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The die-cut leaves and flowers are from the Frames & Flowers DSP. The leaves were taped to the card front. The sentiment from the Adventurous Sky stamp set (#163439) was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083). This was cut with a Happy Little Things die (#163709). The Petal Pink card under the sentiment was cut with a Stylish Shapes Die (#159183). This was attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I attached the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and the flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added glimmer to the flowers with Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Like most things in Japan, Eki Stamp has also become a local obsession, combining the two things Japanese love: stamps and trains.
This Daisy image is drawn from flowers in my own garden. My garden is often my inspiration and I love representing it with classic, graphic linocut relief prints. These prints look great hung individually on the wall, or in a grouping. These make perfect, affordable gifts for any art lovers in your life! This image was drawn on and carved into linoleum using a hand tool. It was inked and printed by hand using a wooden spoon to burnish the back of the paper. It is printed with black water-based ink on a traditional Rice Paper. This is from a limited edition of 200 prints. This listing is for the print only. Size of Image is 12cm x 12cm (4.75 inches x 4.75 inches) Please note: My prints do not come framed or matted. Photos of the framed prints are examples only. They are presented in a plastic sleeve with a board backing. It also includes a small write up on my printing process. Prints are shipped out in a padded protective envelope to ensure they reach you safely. Image rights are fully retained by me, the artist, Ginny Carnevale. The purchase of one of these prints does not transfer any image rights to the purchaser. If you need any more information, please contact me!
