I’m not the best colourist. I enjoy colouring, and I think I do alright at it, but I’m no expert. I have a number of beautiful floral stamp sets which are designed to be coloured, so I …
Welcome to SBTD (Stampers by the Dozen) Blog Hop for October. We are a group of 12 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world, sharing our creativity. This month we are exploring Masculine projects to help inspire you. Creating cards for the men in our lives can be a challenge. I hope that the projects I have to share will help you with your own creations. The stamp set I chose for this month's theme is Country Livin'. It is a wonderful line art stamp set from Stampin' Up! with amazing possibilities for coloring. This month I am sharing 3 different cards that showcase different ways to color your images. This first card uses the old fashioned truck image and I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Pencils to color the image. I love how easy it is to color with these watercolor pencils and when you use a blender pen, the color blends into a beautiful watercolor look. The background of this card was created with the Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (item #143708) and Crumb Cake Cardstock. I used a Sponge Dauber to rub Crumb Cake Classic Ink over the textured background to add extra depth. The card base has been created with Cajun Craze Cardstock. I stamped the image on Very Vanilla Cardstock and matted it with Early Espresso Cardstock. Even masculine cards need a little embellishment and I chose the Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron ribbon. I love the rustic feel to this card and the colors work well for a masculine card. The 2nd card I created is almost a mirror image to the 1st card but this time I chose to use the New Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers, which will be available to purchase starting November 1st. I love the way these markers color and I can't wait to experiment with them in future projects. For this card I chose Cherry Cobbler Cardstock for my card base to coordinate with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Markers for the truck. I added a thin matte of Basic Black Cardstock to make the Crumb Cake Cardstock layer pop. I embossed the Crumb Cake Cardstock with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #139673) and I lightly sponged the background with Crumb Cake Classic Ink to bring out the detail in the tree trunks. This time I chose to use the Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer ribbon to embellish the card and I added a Basic Black matte around the stamped and colored image to frame it. The Happy Birthday stamp is from the stamp set, Guy Greetings. I love that I could create two different cards using similar supplies with a very different feel to them. The Stampin' Blends provide a bolder, richer color to the stamped image that is very striking. My final card has a more worn, distressed feel to it. I chose Dapper Denim Cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Marina Mist Cardstock, which I stamped with the Hardwood Background stamp in Dapper Denim Classic ink. I lightly sponged the edges of the Marina Mist Cardstock with Dapper Denim Classic ink to add texture and a distressed look. The boots were stamped with Early Espresso Classic ink and Versamark and I embossed the image with Clear Embossing Powder for more definition, onto Soft Suede Cardstock cut out with one of the larger Stitched Shapes Circles. I used the two smaller Stitched Shapes Circles to cut out a circle in Night of Navy and Copper Foil (the Copper reminded me of a shiny penny). I sponged the Night of Navy circle with Whisper White Craft ink for a weathered look. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and was embossed with Copper Embossing Powder onto Night of Navy Cardstock and accented with Soft Suede Cardstock, both cut with the Classic Label Punch. To color the boots, I used the Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Alcohol Marker to accent the lines and shadows of the boots as well as the heel and soles. I sponged the circle with Soft Suede Classic Ink to give the look of worn leather. For the final touch, I added a lasso created with the Jute Twine from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. I love the way this twine adds to the country feel of this card. I love the clean and simple design of this card and the way the colors work together. I hope that my cards have helped to inspire you to create your own masculine themed projects. These 3 cards would work well for a variety of occasions and for boys/men of all ages. Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown. Today I have a project to share using the new Corner Adorner: July stamp set and one using the new Fence Line: Summer and Never Enough: Thanks stamp sets....
Hello Friends, As you all know, I works quite a lot with alcohol inks and yupo. Till now, I used to source it from USA as it is very expensive here and most of the time not available. Recently, I found a new source in India for YUPO. NoteGrab - The paper is same but prices are great...:). It is available in different sizes and microns on Amazon.in. You can check the products HERE. Their Instagram handle is Notegrab.in. They were kind enough to send me a pad of these papers to try. Surface is same as yupo, the one I got was very thin but they have thicker papers too. As it is waterproof paper, thickness didn't make much of a difference. These are used for water colors too which i have to try yet. The weather is quite humid and alcohol inks don't like moisture so i had tough time maneuvering inks but enjoyed all the things I tried. Lately, I am liking the contrast in textures. I have created abstract land scape here with various Ranger and Piniata inks. Another abstract. I used tonic nuvo Gilding Flakes to add little glamour . Abstract landscape with some hand drawn trees...:P . Hills are painted with palette knife . I have used Art Impression stamps for cabin and trees. Love the cliff on this one. Last two are my favorite. Believe it or not it is just one ink - Ranger's Pitch Black . It is magical how one ink gives so many shades. Took long time to build all those layers of petals but love the end results. Once again, just black ink and some details with white sharpie. Please check their Amazon & Instagram for more info on this paper. I hope you enjoyed the post. Please mail me on [email protected] if you have any query regarding this paper or any other materials. Thank you for being here.G

Hello Crafty Friends, Hope you are having a great day. I have been having a productive one and thought I would share a few quick and easy cards made using the fabulous new Tropical Chic bundle. As the title suggests, this bundle has a tropical theme, with a Frangapani flower and loads of tropical leaves. The co coordinating framelits are really versatile with framelits that cut your stamped images and some of the images on the DSP. Plus there are also thinlits that make matching foliage die cuts. The background of this set of cards have been embossed with the new Subtle Embossing Folder. The images were stamped using: Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green. I love the new brights colour family so much I have been making batch of cards in different colours because not everyone loves pink (say what? lol) Coastal Cabana is definitely on the top of my favorite list.....and its not a red/pink tone! Pineapple Punch and below in Flirty Flamingo. And finally a Granny Apple Green version. I will share the next set of cards in another post, keep an eye out for more inspiration using this stunning bundle along with some other new goodies that I got to unbox last week. Until next time, stay crafty
Laat het me gerust weten.

In Love With This Suite! It is called the Tropical Escape Suite and it is so me and Lilly Pulitzer! It has the set called Tropical Chic and matching dies called Tropical thinlits. My fav is the awesome designer paper and the colors in in! DSP is called Tropical Escape and it has loads of cool prints! I pulled a busy one here for my background and layered it on the Shaded Spruce card stock and then a Whisper White base. I then got to work on stamping and die cutting! I first stamped the fat leaves in Lemon Lime Twist and another in Granny Apple Green. I stamped the flowers in Blushing Bride. Finally I cut the Spruce leaves from the card stock. I stamped the sentiment from the set in Spruce and punched it out with the Tailored tag punch. I finished it off with some pearls. Pearls are always chic! I hope you enjoy this suite because you will see it all summer long right here on my blog! Play along over at Fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com for this fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by! Bee Friendly Queen Bee Tag Loved making this , who says bees have to be yellow! I used my artistic licence and made them pink! teamed with gold i think it makes a lovely combination. Here I made a honey comb shaped card using hexagon shapes and frames. Coloured using pencils with a white Posca pen for highlights. Good Day Crafty Friends, Welcome to this fortnight's Colour INKspiration Challenge #36. Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Jackie Aitken in Western Australia. The Colour INKspiration Design Team have created some absolutely amazing cards to inspire you, so be sure to hop all the way through. We have a gorgeous inspiration picture and earthy colour scheme for you to play along with. I am not going fib, when I first saw this inspiration picture I was torn, I love the images but so not a fan of Crushed Curry or Soft Suede and immediately knew if I over thought it I would struggle. I knew I wanted to use the new Tropical Chic bundle but these colours didn't exactly scream tropical lol. The card base has been stamped using Basic Grey ink stamped off along with Crushed Curry. The cluster base has been created using the new Foliage Frame Framelits cut in Whipser White card and then the Frangapani Flower has been inked using Crushed Curry ink. The die cuts were created using the Tropical chic bundle from Soft Suede card When I find a colour challenge a little tricky, due to colours not in my heavy used list, then I often make a couple of cards. This way I have options and just in case some attempts are complete failure then I have something to fall back on. The second card uses the large square framelit die cut from Soft Suede and adhered to a layer of Silver Foil card. Again the Basic Grey was stamped off for the Frangipani leaves and the border detail stamp applied to the bottom of the card front. The celebrate you thinlits were used to die cut the words from Crushed Curry and Soft Suede card. The third card didn't make the cut, what it did make was a screwed up ball in the rubbish bin LOL. INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as white, black, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Metallics. Not a member of the Facebook group yet? Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous colours. Up next in the blog hop is my very talented friend, Bronwyn Eastley all the way over in Tasmania. Enjoy xx Thanks for stopping by today, until next time, stay awesome
Hello there, today I have another card to share with you that I have made as part of my guest designing with WOW Embossing Powder. Since the theme this month is shimmers, I wanted to use one of the Glintz powders. These have a beautiful pearlescent finish to them. I started off with a panel of watercolour paper. I added masking tape to the edges to create my focal point in the centre. I took one of the leaves from the WPlus9 Autumn Leaves stamp set and stamped this three times on to the panel. I stamped it using WOW Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink and then applied WOW Mayan Glintz Embossing Powder. I then taped the piece down to a board and added the watercolour. I used purple going into pink/red that goes into yellow and finally green in the bottom right hand corner. I thought these colours would work well for an autumn card and also go well with the tone of the embossing powder. I added the watercolour in layers, deepening the colour as I went. I then set the piece aside to dry. Once dry, I removed the masking tape and stamped the sentiment from the WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquets: Ranunculus set using Archival Ink. The piece was adhered flat to an A2 white card base with tape runner. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. Products marked with an asterisk (*) were kindly sent to me to use. I am not usually a fan of gold tones but I really love the colour of this embossing powder, it is like a softer honey-ish tone of gold. Really pretty! For this card, I was inspired by a previous card that I had made as part of an Online Card Classes class. For more inspiration using WOW Embossing Powder, please do check out their blog. Thank you so much for visiting me today, I hope you have a great day!

Hi Stampin' Friends!! Today is the final card from my Jar of Love online card class. Stamps: Jar of Love Paper: Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Fruit Stand DSP, Vellum Ink: Basic Gray, Flirty Flamingo Accessories: Everyday Jars Framelits, Triple Banner Punch, Festive EF, Flirty Flamingo ribbon, straw Kit Includes: 1 - Whisper White card base 1 - Flirty Flamingo embossed card front 1 - Fruit Stand DSP strip 1 - Fruit Stand DSP lemon piece 1 - Fruit Stand DSP lemon strip 1 - Vellum piece 1 - Flirty Flamingo ribbon 1 - straw Instructions: Attach the Flirty Flamingo card front to the Whisper White card base. Attach the Fruit Stand DSP strip to the left side of the card front. Stamp the large jar onto the vellum piece using Archival Basic Gray ink. Be careful to let the ink completely dry before cutting it out so that it does not smear. Using your Everyday Jars Framelits, cut out a large jar from the lemon DSP. Trim the top off so it is lower than the lid area. Attach the vellum jar onto the lemon jar using Glue Dots around the bottom and edges only. Leave the top open. Wrap your straw with the Flirty Flamingo ribbon. Double sided tape or lots of Glue Dots works best. Place straw inside jar. I did not attach my straw. Attach lemonade jar to card front using Dimensionals. The straw is kind of thick so I layered two Dimensionals on top of each other under my jar to give some extra height. Cut out a lemon piece from the Fruit Stand lemon strip to use on the side of your jar. If you have a Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, add a little sparkle to your lemon wedge. Cut a slit in your lemon and attach it to the side of the jar with a Glue Dot. Stamp your sentiment on a tag using Flirty Flamingo or any coordinating color ink. GLue to the front of the card I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it was just so cute!! I love how it turned out. I hope you had fun making your cards!! In the next couple of days I will be sharing more sneak peeks from the Craft Project Central blog. Come back and visit again soon! Happy Stamping! Krystal!!
Made some more cards with the new Serendipity stamps, Flower Pops Cling Set.
This month's Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop's theme is anything from the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. Enjoy hopping around and seeing all the beautiful new products! My card
Last card for class using my fav suite-Tropical Escape! I layered a great print on the white base- cut 3" by 5 1/2". I stamped the sentiment on white in Shaded Spruce and punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch. I added some Shaded Spruce leaves cut from the dies called Tropical thinlits. I inked the big leaves in Granny Apple Green and sponged some Shaded Spruce on them before stamping on white. I stamped the flowers in two pinks-Blushing Bride and Berry Burst. I finished off with a little linen thread bow. My guests for class can pick the paper from the awesome prints to use on each of their cards. Hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by! Do you color transparent objects with a blue Copic Marker? Last month, we looked at transparent glass and the failures of the blue marker method. The blue marker method was likely born out of coloring frustration. Because really, what color is clear? The blue marker technique seems to ha
#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #creationstation How can it be July already?! The new Stampin' Up annual catalog has been out for a month now and I'm still finding new things in there that I'm going to need to buy and play with. One of the first things Stampin' Up fans look for (after we check to make sure that "Lovely As A Tree" has carried over for the millionth time--seriously, 16 years and counting!) is the new In Colors. I love the way Stampin' Up gives us FIVE new colors every season. That really keeps the palette fresh! This month, your Creation Station design team is featuring the new 2017-2019 In Color Collection in our creations. I thought it would be fun to make a boxed note card set using one of my favorite sets from the new catalog, "Daisy Delight," and all the new In Colors! The box is super easy to make, and it uses only one sheet of 8-1/2" by 1" card stock. You can take a look at the tutorial by clicking the "tutorials" button at the top of my blog. The base of the box is made from Fresh Fig Card Stock and I used two Berry Burst sheets of the Color Theory Designer Series Paper on the top and bottom flaps. Each piece of DSP has a Powder Pink mat to frame it against the box. The belly band has a strip of Tranquil Tide DSP from the Delightful Daisy collection. I tied a length of Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon around the belly band, too. You can really see the shimmer in the closer picture below. Next I stamped the large daisy from the "Daisy Delight" set in Tranquil Tide onto Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock. I did this twice and punched both daisies out with the matching Daisy Punch. I used my bone folder to curl the petals. I adhered the two daisy pieces together with a couple of Glue Dots and adhered the daisy to the belly band with a few more glue dots. I added a clear Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy. Finally, tucked a piece of a Delicate White Doily and a piece of a silver Metallic Foil Doily under the belly band. I used the same design on the individual note cards and made one in each of the five new In Colors. I started with a 5" by 3-1/2" Whisper White Note Card, added a 4-5/8" by 3-1/8" In Color mat, and stamped the sentiment and images from the "Daisy Delight" set onto a 4-1/2" by 3" Whisper White panel. All the note cards and their envelopes fit nicely into the box. This would make a great gift, don't you think? I hope you've been inspired by my projects. Please use the "next" and "back" buttons to make your way around the hop to see what other projects our awesome design team has come up with to inspire you--and me, too!! tams# 14355 Box Supplies Product List Daisy Delight Photopolymer Bundle [145361] $31.50 Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin' Pad [144085] $6.50 Fresh Fig 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144242] $8.00 Powder Pink 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144244] $8.00 Lemon Lime Twist 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144245] $8.00 Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack [144193] $10.00 Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper [144137] $11.00 Clear Faceted Gems [144142] $5.00 Delicate White Doilies [141701] $3.00 Metallic Foil Doilies [138392] $4.00 Powder Pink 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon [144151] $7.00 Glue Dots [103683] $5.25 Tear & Tape Adhesive [138995] $7.00 Bone Folder [102300] $7.00 Simply Scored [122334] $30.00 tams# 14356 Note Card Supplies Product List Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set [143669] $17.00 Fresh Fig Classic Stampin' Pad [144082] $6.50 Berry Burst Classic Stampin' Pad [144083] $6.50 Powder Pink Classic Stampin' Pad [144084] $6.50 Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin' Pad [144085] $6.50 Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin' Pad [144086] $6.50 Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes [131527] $6.00 Fresh Fig 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144242] $8.00 Berry Burst 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144243] $8.00 Powder Pink 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144244] $8.00 Tranquil Tide 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144246] $8.00 Lemon Lime Twist 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144245] $8.00

I had SO much fun stamping with this amazing Watercolor Wings stamp set... You could probably guess that this would be one of the very first stamp sets I was going to use in the new Stampin' Up! catalog.. right?...
