Now if you've been following my blog posts this week, you'll have seen the Layers of Beauty bundle on 3 previous cards. They all used the largest image of the set, along with some die cutting and even a little masking. Today is different! Using only the masks with inks and Blending Brushes, I created this: L.O.V.E.! Such realistic flowers! I feel like an artist...but all I did was carefully line up the masks (5 of them in all) and use Blending Brushes with inks to create this beautiful panel! Look at the detail and the depth of color! Gorgeous! I started with Lemon Lolly and the #1 mask, which colors the light part of the flowers. Then, with Mask #2, I added some Daffodil Delight ink. And for the smallest, darkest details, I used Crushed Curry. The leaves were done in Granny Apple Green with Garden Green details. I mounted the main panel on Garden Green cardstock, then onto a Thick Basic White base with triangles of Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight to pull out the colors. Feel like an artist! It's back to a colour week at Less is More and, this week, it's 'three shades of green'. Green and I don't have the best relationship; I'm more a warm colours lass. But then they do call them challenges for a reason. My mind instantly went to leaves and to French Foliage more specifically. Grab your 6x6 paper (I used Stampin' UP! Thoughtful Journey paper) and let's make these super easy cards that showcase both sides of the paper! I was inspired by Meg @lovenstamps! Simply take your 6x6 Thoughtful Journey paper and cut 3/4' off the top or bottom, then score at 2' from the left edge. SAVE that scrap, tear it and add it to the front as shown!! Glue to a 4-1/4' x 5-1/2' card base in a coordinating color. Don't Delay! And I know it's a 'dirty word'... but this Thoughtful Journey paper is currently on the LOW INVENTORY list

Ik heb al jaren flesjes Stampinback water color staan en ook al jaren niks meer mee gedaan. Water color heeft wat weg van ecoline en shadow paint. Voor dit kaartje heb ik aquarel papier nat gemaakt en met de druppelaar die op het flesje zit verschillende gekleurde banen getrokken. Daarna met een tandenborstel er wat waterdruppels op laten vallen en de boel laten drogen. Het heeft zo wel wat weg van alcohol inkt maar door de structuur van het aquarel papier en de frisse kleuren is het toch ook helemaal anders. Met StazOn Jet Black bestempeld en afgewerkt. Onderaan heb ik de grassprieten stempel een paar keer afgedrukt en op de puntjes van de sprieten een klein stempeltje gezet wat bij een kerst serie hoorde. Groetjes Ank
