If you know me, you know I LOVE a good pun and cute critters! So when I saw the Yeti to Party stamp set in the Mini Holiday Catalog, I knew I had to get it. And because I don't do anything small, I made this cute card 21 times for a Leadership Swap with Carol Nordquist. I really love how they turned out with simple colors and huge contrast for the saying. Can you spot the snowy mountains in the background? Those were made with an embossing folder. The Charming Landscapes. Of course I had to stamp the inside to carry over this snowy, mountain look! You can make this card too when you order from my online store! Friends, today's stamp set was one that, when I first saw it in the Holiday Mini Catalogue, I knew I **had** to buy! The Yeti to Party set is so whimsical and cute, I couldn't resist it. The set is great for year-round use, as well as for the holidays, with sentiments for winter and birthdays, and props to add that include ice cream, presents, a mug, and much more! Best of all, the stamp set is on sale right now for just $10! I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post that will take you right to the individual items in my online store. Featuring a Real Red & Garden Green colour scheme, my card is an easy one to put together. First, I started by cutting the label from Basic White Cardstock, using Waves Dies. Then I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink. Next, I stamped the Yeti and mug onto Basic White Cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. To colour the mug, yeti's horns and mouth, I used Stampin' Blends: Granny Apple Green (dark), Real Red (dark), and Bronze. Then I cut out the Yeti and mug, adhering the mug with a Mini Glue Dot. By the way, the Yeti Dies are on big discount right now, too, just $15.60! To assemble the card, I adhered a 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" panel of Santa Express DSP to a 3 3/4" x 5" Garden Green panel, then added those to a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel. I fed the ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack through my label, then added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the label and adhered it to the DSP panel. I secured the ribbon to the back of the white panel with Mini Glue Dots, then tied a bow and attached it to the label with glue dots as well. From there, I adhered the remaining pieces with dimensionals: the yeti to the panels, and the panels to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Real Red card base. I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to embellish. Inside the card, I attached a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White panel, decorating it with a scrap of DSP. On my Facebook Live today - you can watch it here - my viewers and I decided to change the card up a bit. We went with Garden Green ribbon instead of red, and we used the other side of the DSP. It's amazing to see how different the card looked! Need some supplies? Place an order with me in December and you'll receive a FREE international tutorial bundle featuring the Framed Florets Bundle! Some of our favorite stamp sets have temporarily been paired with coordinating dies. You can save 10% on the bundles or purchase the items separately. The dies will no longer be available after September. Don't miss the Perfect Partners!!! Here are each of the bundles from Perfect Partners: Yeti to Party Bundle https://www.stampinup.com/products/yeti-to-party-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR Trimming the Tree Bundle https://www.stampinup.com/products/trimming-the-tree-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR This Birthday Piggy Bundle https://www.stampinup.com/products/this-birthday-piggy-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR Waterfall Canyon Bundle https://www.stampinup.com/products/waterfall-canyon-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR Apple Harvest Bundle https://www.stampinup.com/products/apple-harvest-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR Fresh Cut Flowers Bundle Link https://www.stampinup.com/products/fresh-cut-flowers-bundle-english?hostcode=URFSZNGR IMPORTANT TIPS FOR THIS FLICKING TECHNIQUE I recommend three shades, a light, medium and dark alcohol marker in the same color family (in this case Brown/Black for the Bigfoot/ Grays for the Yeti) Start with the lightest shade, build with medium and finish with darkest shade "Flick" small strokes in the same direction with each color When flicking with the lightest color you can make the longer strokes When flicking with the medium tone build in the color with slightly smaller strokes When flicking in the darkest tone keep this shorter and in the place where we'd have shadow Start with one section at a time, for example, start with Yeti's head, then arms, then body, etc. each time Stroke upward - do not recommend - stroking downward (this gives a consistent, natural look) (Optional) Rotate your image to stay consistent as you build your flicking strokes and colors Hold your marker close to the tip and try to stay vertical for this flicking technique (when you hold marker angled to the side it could create thicker strokes and you could lose that detail stroke appearance of hairs) Practice makes perfect! The great thing about alcohol markers is that ability to blend and if you go too dark in one spot you can go over it with a lighter color and lighten it back down. STAMPIN' BLENDS FOR BIGFOOT Basic Black Light (Darkest Hair) Soft Suede Dark (Medium Hair) Soft Suede Light (Light Hair) Ivory (Face) Polished Pink Light (Tongue) INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BIGFOOT CARD Die Cut Aspen Die Tree Scene out of Sahara Sand Cardstock. Cut two footprints with the snowcap die in the lower right corner. I cut two footprints. Sponge a little Crumb Cake ink on the trees within the oval shape. Cut the tree pattern out of the Boughs of Holly DSP. Cut Basic White Card Base. Glue DSP to card base. Take a black marker and darken lower right corner where footsteps will be. Glue the tree panel to the DSP. Color Bigfoot using Blends and flicking technique listed above. Pop up on dimensionals and place by footprints. Stamp "I Believe in You" from Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink in upper left corner. STAMPIN' BLENDS FOR YETI Smoky Slate Gray (Darkest) Smoky Slate Light (Medium) Gray Granite Light (Light) Pool Party Light and Dark (Face, Horns) Tahitian Tide Light (Tongue) INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE YETI CARD Cut tree scene on Silver Foil. Take Pearlized Enamel Effects in White and pipe onto tree branches in the "nook" areas where snow would lay. Set aside to dry. Color Yeti in the Stampin' Blends combo listed above using Flicking Technique. Stamp snowflakes in Pacific Point ink. Stamp sentiment in Pacific Point ink. Die Cut Yeti, Scarf in Pacific Point Cardstock, Sentiment piece and snowflakes. Glue scarf to Yeti. Put Yeti on dimensionals and add to card. Put snowflakes on Mini Dimensionals and add to card. A note about your sentiment piece. I chose to create a banner with one card and a stitched rectangle die cut with the other. It depends on the sentiment you choose for the size of your sentiment piece but any small die in a square or rectangle shape would work. Or just create a banner with your Banners Pick-a-Punch tool or Paper Snips scissors. CARD MEASUREMENTS Card Base: 4-1/4 x 11 Score: 5-1/2" (Pool Party for Yeti Card, Basic White for Bigfoot Card) DSP Layer: 4 x 5-1/4" (Only for Bigfoot Card) Aspen Die Cut Layer: 4 x 5-1/4" (Silver Foil for Yeti Card, Sahara Sand Cardstock for Bigfoot Card) Remember the Perfect Partners promotion ends 9/30/22. I have listed all of the bundles in the product list below. Thank you and have a great day! Happy crafting!

Good Evening Everyone I hope you have had a wonderful and managed to enjoy the sunshine! I'm taking part int he Stamping with Friends Blog Hop and our theme is Christmas in July - I've used my Yeti to Party stamp set in an effort to trick myself into thinking cool thoughts HAHA! This stamp set is really cute and although it is mainly a Christmas set, it does have a birthday sentiment and some non Chirstmas imagery - so the scope is HUGE for creating with this. Measurements Melon Mambo Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" Basic White Card Stock 2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" scraps --------------------------- Take the Melon Mambo card stock and fold along the score line, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside. On the other piece of Basic White, stamp the yeti into the bottom right hand corner in Basic Gray ink. Then stamp the same image onto a post it note (making sure you stamp over the sticky section). Fussy cut and then place directly over the Yeti on the basic white piece. Bring in the Mountains and from about the half way point, stamp a selection of them to creation a scenic background. I found that I needed to have post it note masks of both sized mountains to help get the effect I wanted. Once the ink has dried, colour in the mountains with a selection of blends. I used Mint Macaran, Pool Party and Balmy Blue - finishing of the snow caps with wink of stella. Add a little colour to the Yeti. Ink up the sentiments in Basic Gray and ink across the top of this panel. Place this panel into the centre of your card front. On scraps of basic white stamp a handful of the present images and also the mug. Colour these in using your Stampin Blends as well. Fussy Cut and add to the card front with both liquid glue and mini dimensions. Will the mug I cut off the 'steam' but I added that to the flat stamped panel and then made sure the mug sat well under them. It's a great card made with a really cute stamp set - I hope you have enjoyed seeing it as much as I did creating it. Please take a look at the list below and continue through the Hop to get lots more inspiration for Christmas in July!
