I have been busy this weekend making my final Christmas cards and trying to show some LOVE to the many GREAT stamp sets and Bundles in this years Holiday catalog. Snowflake Sentiments is at the TOP of the list. And just as the name implies, the Sentiments are the Star of this Bundle!! Pretty Simple card, Whisper White card base with a Pattern of Designer paper from Christmas Around the World embossed with the BIG Snowflake folder. The paper is cut 4 X 4 and the Snowflake fits perfectly! I then cut Silver Snowflakes and a Swirl from Silver Foil with the matching Framelits in this Bundle. And this Silver Edge ribbon makes this card. A Glue Dot holds the Bow and Swirl in place! Sentiment was stamped in Momento Black ink. Card 2 This same Designer Paper makes a perfect background for my Version of Frosty the Snowman! I used another pattern for the Scarf and Fringed the end with scissors. A Black Hat and more Silver Snowflakes decorate this Snowman cut with a Simple Circle!! Frosty's eyes came from the Cookie Cutter Builder punch in Basic Black. The Nose I snipped out of Pumpkin Pie. I used the Chalk Marker to accent the eyes. And a Rhinestone in the center of each Silver Snowflake. This sentiment really fits this Scarf wrapped Frosty! Snowflake Sentiments Bundle 146052 Wood $54.00, 146053 Clear $46.75 I must admit, I overlooked these 2 Snowflakes when I used this Bundle the first time. I guess the Square shape threw me off? Christmas Around the World Designer paper 144629 $11.00 This paper is AMAZING......even when you don't like all the patterns.....turn it over and you'll LOVE the other side! I want to say a BIG thank you to all the lovely comments and emails I received for my original card made with the Snowflakes Sentiments bundle, I am quite humbled to say the least! I had so many questions and requests about how to make the I decided to make another for you and create a video tutorial. I've used my "signature" colour as the base for this card, and adjusted the measurements slightly so that I could fit the Season's Greetings sentiment for this project. I used a colour combination of Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party with Silver Glimmer paper for this card - I just love this combination, (but I am partial to pink ), it's so pretty! I work in metric measurements, but have also tried my best to convert to imperial inches for you too - the principal for cutting and aligning the die cuts is the same regardless. Here's the tutorial of making this card - enjoy! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. I would love to update you when I create a post! Welcome to the ESAD Holiday Catalogue Fancy Folds & 3D project Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our creations with you and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy! I've created a project using one of my favourite fun folds - a "z-fold", using the Snowflakes Sentiments Bundle The thinlits give the card lots to detail, and did take a bit of time to put together, but hey if I'm honest I overthink the the placement of the swirls and snowflake sentiments like 3 - 4 times before I stick them down, hahaha!, but I must say every minute was worth it, I am really happy with the finished card. Perfect Plum made the perfect companion for Soft Sky and Marina Mist and I also designed the height of the card so that when it folds flat it will fit in a normal C6 envelope Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project please take a few moments to leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think. There are so many amazing creations you won't want to miss. Hello! Happy Wednesday! Today is mid-month for CAS Christmas Challenge! It's been a very hectic last two months for the Salkeld household and I missed the first of the month installment. Yet I did manage to pull together a couple of cards for today's mid-month reminder. I borrowed a snowflake die(by PoppyStamps) from Bonnie with one idea in mind, which morphed into about six more! Isn't it that how it sometimes happens? My original idea is the red background, alcohol inked, with the die inlaid in it. I cut the snowflake out of the red, then out of the white glitter background and then again out of vellum and wound up inlaying the vellum one. The photo doesn't do it justice, it turned out very pretty. So I decided to use some of the other dies to create a second simple card. Please stop by the CAS Christmas blog and see the rest of the Design Team's projects, as well as our Guest Designer, Jane. Then why not play along and create some Christmas in July with some CAS Snowflake cards. You have until July 24th to play. CAS Christmas Blessings!
When you sit down to create a handmade greeting card, do you feature just one stamp set? Or do you mix and match? Normally, I like to work with just one set. I love seeing all of the different ways I can use the images and the sentiments. But, other times, it’s fun to dig […]
