Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday. How was everyone’s week? Does anyone have any plans for the weekend yet? I’ll be working Sunday, but I have Saturday off. …
I'm playing along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge today. I always love using their diverse choice boards to create a card. I chose to use the left to right downward diagonal which is "wings, circle and masculine". Wings was a no brainer since I'm in love with the new Party Puffins set, circles are always a good element and I used them in my die cuts and the patterned paper and I think my colors and feel of the card are masculine. This one starts with a Smoky Slate card base, then a layer of Well Suited DSP in the gray dot/circle pattern. I used a piece of Coastal Cabana and stamped the candles all over in Coastal Cabana ink. The puffin, cake, fish and sentiment are all stamped in Versamark and then embossed with black embossing powder. It's a great shiny look for this set! I colored them and then fussy cut them all out and popped them up with dimensionals on stitched circle die cuts. The sentiment is just cut apart and added to the top. The bit of Bubmblebee twill ribbon and knot are added across the Coastal Cabana layer for balance. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Party Puffins Ink: Versamark, Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write Markers: Bumblebee, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody Paper: Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Well Suited DSP, Whisper White Accessories: Stitched Shapes dies (retired), dimensionals, twill ribbon

I decided to participate in the Global Design Project #288 this week! This week, everyone was to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card designed by Manuela Geiswinkler out of Austria. I decided to use a stamp set from the yet-to-be-released Stampin' Up Annual Catalog, Party Puffins! I also chose to use a couple of the new In-Colors launching on May 4th: Pale Papaya and Polished Pink! This years' In-Colors are, by far, my favorite In-Colors they've ever released! AND I'm IN LOVE with the Party Puffins! They're just soooo cute! Definitely watch my Social Media for more card ideas using these adorable little critters. Today I share some inspiration using the Party Puffins from the New Annual Catalogue. Fun and Playful you'll want to add it to your basket.
Today’s tutorial is for a puffin party birthday card. This card is stepped up from the previous simple versions and uses all three puffins.
Hi, Stampers! We are inching our way closer to the premier of the STAMPIN’ UP! 2021-22 ANNUAL CATALOG ON 4 May 2021! The new catalog truly is amazing! From the terrific stamp sets, to the beautiful new IN COLORS, to the gorgeous Designer Series Papers, I know you are going to love the catalog! Today’s preview takes a closer look at the PARTY PUFFINS stamp set. This stamp set was included in my 9 April 2021 post. It is a cute birthday set including three adorable puffins, a fish with a bow (the perfect gift for all puffins), candles, a birthday cake, and sentiments appropriate for birthday cards and gift tags. Here are some cards I made using the set. I featured the two cards on the top row in my 9 April post. The card below is on a Mango Melody card base. The puffin images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers. There are no dies for this set, but the images are easy to cut out with paper snips. This card is quick and easy to make. I stamped the puffins on Basic White cardstock and die cut them with the LAYERING CIRCLES DIES. The die cut images were matted on colorful cardstock circles (Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay). The images were arranged on a Pumpkin Pie card base, and the “Happy Birthday” was stamped with Tuxedo Black in the lower left area of the card base. This next card employs the reverse stamping technique (see 15 January 2021 for technique instructions) to create a pair of dancing puffins. The confetti is stamped in the new IN COLOR - FRESH FREESIA. The confetti stamp is from the HEY, BIRTHDAY CHICK stamp set currently in the mini catalog (this stamp set and its coordinating dies will carry over to the new annual catalog). The focal panel is matted with Granny Apple Green cardstock, and the entire piece is adhered to a Pool Party card base. Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (carrying over to the new annual catalog) gives the card a bit of shimmer. This card uses the cake and the candles images from the stamp set to make a fun birthday card for people of any age! The Poppy Parade card base and Basic Black mats add a nice contrast to the Basic White cardstock used for the images. I really like the “make a wish” greeting. Here is a peek at the inside of the Make a Wish card. One more card for today - it, like the previous card, has a Poppy Parade card base. Once again, I stamped the puffin on Basic White, colored it with Stampin’ Blends, and cut it out with one of the Layering Circles Dies. The focal piece is matted on a Daffodil Delight circle. The “let’s celebrate you” is stamped in Tuxedo Black. The stamp is from the HEY, BIRTHDAY CHICK stamp set. This card happens to be a pop up card. Let’s take a look at the inside! All three puffins make an appearance inside this card. As you can see they are all ready to help the card’s recipient celebrate a very happy birthday! The confetti and balloon images are from the HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK stamp set. The gift image is from the KANGAROO & COMPANY stamp set (current mini catalog). To learn how to make the simple pop up card mechanism see the 29 January 2021 post. Those are all the cards I have to share today. I am looking forward to creating many more cards with the PARTY PUFFINS stamp set! That is all for today. Until next time... Stamp Happy! Kim All stamps and stamped images ©️1990-2021 STAMPIN’ UP!®️
Hello and welcome to another marvelous Monday Montage Blog Hop! Be sure to hit every stop along the way...you won't want to miss out on a single project! My preorder arrived late last week and I just got around to unboxing and playing with some of my new goodies! One of the must haves on my preorder list was the adorable Party Puffins. These little guys are just the cutest! I stamped couple Party Puffins in Memento, then brought them to life with a little Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight on their beaks and Pumpkin pie for their cute little feet. And a Party Puffin isn't ready for a party without a party hat colored in shades of Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya. Every party needs a cake, right?!?! This tasty treat was colored in Pale Papaya with some Pool Party frosting, all topped with some Flirty Flamingo candles. A couple strips of the awesome new hostess Pattern Party DSP, a heat embossed Happy Birthday on Pool Party and a few Artistry Blooms Sequins helped to complete the celebration! After very little stamping in the past two weeks, these cute little guys were the perfect way to get my creativity flowing again! Now it's time to hop on over to the next stop...you're going to love what you see! Happy Stamping!
