The new Waves of the Ocean collection is now available! The Designer Series Papers are beautiful, and inspired me to use a selection on this card. The products I used are: (see also HERE) Stamp Sets: Waves of Inspiration (Pelican image), Ocean Front (grass images), Seas the Day (sentiment on front), Let's Set Sail (inside sentiment). Soft Suede Ink Pad Dies: Waves Dies (pelican), Tasteful Labels Dies (banner). Embellishments: Paper Lattice, In Color enamel dots. Card Details Waves of the Ocean DSP: I wanted the look of ocean and sea shore (sand). I choose a selection that had those colors, and cut it down to 3" x 4". Layer of Early Espresso CS: cut 3 1/8" x 4 1/8". Glue the Waves of Ocean DSP to this layer. Card base: Soft Suede CS: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4". Paper Lattice: glue one of the lattice pieces to the card base, positioning toward the left edge; I used Multipurpose Glue, added just to where the lattice piece would be covered by the DSP layer. Stamp the sentiment in soft suede ink onto a scrap of Basic White CS; die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies. Stamp the Pelican image in soft suede ink onto a piece of Basic White CS; die cut with Waves Dies; color beak and feet with Stampin' Blends (light pumpkin pie), if you want. Stamp some of the grass and "dots" images in soft suede onto the DSP at the bottom edge (on the "shore") Adhere (with Multipurpose glue) the DSP panel to the card front, on top of the lattice, positioned slightly toward the right edge of the card front. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment and the Pelican Image. Add enamel dots. INSIDE: Basic White CS, 3 3/4" x 5". Stamp sentiment from Let's Set Sail stamp set in soft suede. Adhere a strip of the Waves of the Ocean DSP to the bottom edge, 3 3/4" x 3/4". Glue to inside of card. I also like to decorate the envelope, to coordinate with the card. I stamped the Pelican on the back of the envelope, in soft suede ink, and added the bird image stamped twice, once full-strength of ink, one stamped off, to give a lighter image (off in the distance). There you have it. I think this would be a great masculine card, don't you? I hope you are inspired to use some of these products. The DSP would also be gorgeous on a scrap-book page. Create this card using Gentle Waves by Stampin' Up! DebbieMageed SecretsToStamping #GentleWavesStampinUp #stampinup
Hello and welcome, I'm so happy to share with you my latest project using the Waves of Ocean Collection for Stampin' Up! which you can find on their Facebook page and Instagram account. I'll pop the link at the end of this blog post. This collection is amazing! Included in the collection are the following - Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set, Waves Dies, Waves of the Ocean 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, Blue Foils 12" x 12" Specialty Paper and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels. You can purchase all of it in one go by using #161797 for $140 AUD or individually. The Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and Waves Dies will be carrying over into the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue for 2022 to 2023, but the rest is only available while supplies last. Slimline Card When I was thinking about creating my card I knew it was going to be a slimline card and I just love the shades of blues in the Designer Series Paper. The Basic white panel was my starting point for the background of the three die-cut circles. I started with Night of Navy Ink, applied to the bottom of the panel and slowly worked my way up going lighter with the Night of Navy. Then I applied a little of Misty Moonlight Ink. The ombre look is one of my favourite ways to use colour. Starting with the top circle I've used the wave stamp image and used the emboss resist technique using Versamark Ink, White Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I applied Pacific Point Ink with the Blending Brush to the wave and removed any excess of ink with a baby wipe. I used the second largest Circle Die to cut out the wave. I've used the beautiful Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper for the middle circle and die-cut out using the second largest Circle Die. I also used the Waves of Ocean DSP for the third circle and this time I layered over the DSP using the two waves dies. To finish off the circles I used the stunning Night of Navy Specialty Foil Paper by die cutting the paper with two of the circle dies. To do this you use the largest circle die with the second largest circle die and I recommend it's best to use a little Washi Tape so they don't move around on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. The stamped images of the pelican, pillars and sentiment are all in Night of Navy Ink. I used the smaller stitched label for the sentiment and tied White Bakers Twine on each end. I just had to add a couple of the Night of Navy Rhinestones to finish off the card. Two stitched gift tags I created two gift tags using different items from the Waves of the Ocean Collection and Tailor Made Tags Dies. Using the largest stitched tag die, I die-cut out the Waves of the Ocean DSP in the pretty blue paper and layered it over a another tag die-cut piece in Basic White Cardstock. As before with the card I used the wave stamp image and stamped it in Versmark Ink onto Basic White Cardstock, added white emboss powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I used Pacific Point Ink for both tags, the darker one I just applied more ink. I like to match the greeting with the colour of the waves so for the pale blue gift tag, I stamped off first in Pacific Point Ink before applying to the cardstock. I also used the lighter shade of blue in the Rhinestones. The seagulls are die-cut out in Basic White Cardstock. I used the Night of Navy Foil for the seagulls, Night of Navy Ink for the sentiment and Night of Navy Rhinestones for the darker blue gift tag. I used the blue Denim Ribbon and frayed the ribbon to create long thin strands to tie the gift tags together. For the other gift tag I used the White Faux Linen Ribbon and to create long thin strands. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Make sure you pop over onto Stampin' Up! Facebook page for lots of inspiration from the Artisan Design Team using this collection. If you would like a copy of the new Stampin' Up! Sahara Sand with Waves of Inspiration and Artfully Layered Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are continuing to work though all the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a soft faun called Sahara Sand. Sahara Sand is part of the Neutrals Colour Family and is a lovely sandy colour. It is another versatile Stampin' Up! colour. As with most neutrals, this colour is delightful when used with so many colours. I have combined it with sea colours, White and Early Expresso and it also works well with Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and White. Sahara Sand is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Neutrals Designer Series Papers as well as the Tidings of Christmas DSP. The cards below have used Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' ink, Card-stock, a Stampin' Write Marker and Linen Twine (which is the same colour), plus a range of other non-PP bits and pieces. I have created 2 cards to showcase Sahara Sand in different ways. Here they are: As you can see, Sahara Sand is a great colour to use. CARD 1: This card features part of the Waves of Inspiration bundle which is an exciting early release from the coming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. A half piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper was water-coloured with a range of colours indicative of sand, sea and sky. The colours used included Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue Classic Stampin' inks, as well as a touch of White Craft ink to represent sea foam. This was die cut with a mid-sized Stitched Rectangle die and mounted on a slightly larger piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. The background was created with a piece of Basic White card-stock that was mounted on a slightly larger piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. A number of die cut waves cut out of Basic White card-stock with the coordinating Waves dies were adhered directly to the Basic White layer. Linen Twine was wrapped around this background layer and tied in a bow to the side. The pelican sitting on a wooden pole was stamped twice on Basic White card-stock with Sahara Sand ink and fussy cut. Seagulls were stamped directly on the water-colour panel. The clouds and shading pieces were cut from Basic White card-stock. The card front was finished with a sentiment from the same stamp set that was White heat embossed on Sahara Sand card-stock. Clear Polished Dots added a little shimmer, together with a little Wink of Stella. It is disappointing that the Wink of Stella shimmer isn't picked up by the camera. The Basic White card inner also was mounted on a piece of Sahara Sand card-stock. The white panel had been stamped with the pelican sitting on a pole. Similarly, a Basic White C6 Envelope was stamped with the pelican on a pole image in Sahara Sand ink. CARD 2: This second card features Sahara Sand with White and a touch of Early Expresso. I started with the aim of a clean and simple card but couldn't resist the addition of vellum and ribbon and twine. I had a Thick Basic White card base sitting on my desk - it's different dimensions than I normally use, but couldn't remember why I first prepared it so thought I would use it for this card. It will fit within a standard C6 envelope. The focal panel was cut from a piece of Sahara Sand card-stock with a mid-sized Stitched Rectangle die (though a smaller one than used in the card above). It was embossed with the splatters design from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. I love this set of EFs. Some White Craft ink splatters were added using a Water Painter. One of the leaf dies from the Tropical Layers dies cut 3 images of the same design from Basic White card-stock. The 3 pieces were adhered together to give the leaves some dimension. After it was adhered across the centre of the panel a piece of Linen Twine was wrapped around twice and tied in a bow to the side. A sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set was White heat embossed on Early Expresso card-stock, fussy cut and "Hey" was added with Mini Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped again in Early Expresso ink on Sahara Sand card-stock and "there" was fussy cut and added with Mini Dimensionals. A few Clear Round Dots were added for that touch of bling. Some Layering Designs Vellum was added to the card base (I felt it just needed something). A piece of White Frayed Ribbon was cut in half and frayed a little more before being added over the Vellum. The centre panel was popped in the centre with Dimensionals. The Basic White card inner had some stamping in Sahara Sand and a thin strip of Layering Designs Vellum was added near the bottom. Similarly, a Basic White C6 Envelope also had some Sahara Sand stamping added across the back flap. Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value the time you spent with me. If you live in Australia, don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of Stampin' Up's 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue or the coming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue; and or the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue Catalogue then let me know and I will be delighted to send them to you. Please don't hesitate to make contact with any other queries about these projects or Stampin' Up!. There is more Sahara Sand creativity. Ca y est! j'ai pu faire mes 1ers tests avec cette superbe nouvelle collection Vagues d'océan! 😍 J'aime énormément le mouvement que l'on retrouve dans la vague, c'est vraiment génial cet effet, très réussi! Quant au pélican, imperturbable sur son piquet, j'adore, c'est trop drôle 😋 Hi everyone and welcome the Waves of the ocean blog hop! Really great to get inspiration with these new products. I love how the power of the ocean is represented in the wave thanks to the multiple layers 😍 La vague est réalisée en 3 temps: le tamponnage très détaillé, une découpe dans le papier design, et une 2e découpe dans ce papier métallisé qui brille à merveille: Le matage est réalisé lui aussi avec ce beau papier design, qui permet également un petit rappel coloré à l'intérieur (la fameuse bande de papier qui reste après la découpe "Tu l'aimes, tu l'coupes" 😏 ) The frame is created with a piece of the gorgeous designer paper of the suite, and I put another piece inside to let it shine even better 😊 Vraiment top, j'ai hâte de pouvoir jouer à nouveau avec 😉 Pour l'heure, ce post fait partie du blog hop dédié à cette collection ... Don't miss the other wonderful ideas by visiting all the blogs listed below!Je vous invite à aller de ce pas voir les blogs des copines 👇 Blog Hop Index

I just ADORE the fabulous cobalt blue and crisp bright white of this card!
