I was instantly drawn to the gorgeous little creatures in the Love you Lots Set for two reasons. 1.They are super cute and 2. They are fabulous to add some colour to, one of my crafting passions. Yay! I've created 4 cards for you today with all the same design but just changing the little animals from the set. They are very 'clean' from they way that I normally create but I really love the clean lines and the less is more look. I stamped the images with Stazon and then using and aqua painted picked up the colour from the lid of the ink pad and then added some colour. Super cute! Right??!!! If you want to get your hands on some of these Host Sets you can either have a 'party' with me (Australian Residents Only) and have $250 + in sales to qualify or place an order for Stampin' Up! products $250 or more and you can get one of these sets without having a 'party'.You can email me to place and order or you can order straight from my online store HERE Please contact me for more information and I'd love to help you TODAY! It's time for a Stamp Review Crew Bonus Hop! This is a new set that will be available on August 2nd for you to purchase. It also has a set of coordinating thinlits, which make it super easy to cut out! I have a feeling you are going to love this versatile set after hopping with us! When I first saw the big tree in this set, I thought it would look great with a big sunburst behind it. I also just got the fringe scissors, and they made perfect grass. For my next card, I wanted to do something with one of the smaller images, a leaf. I brayered a few different colors onto my cardstock with our fabulous new foam brayer and then stamped my sentiment, along with the leaf image all around it. That was kind of boring so I die cut the sentiment out with a circle die, added some beautiful bronze twine behind it and popped the sentiment up with some dimensionals. Much better! Probably my favorite image in this set is the three little trees. There is a dotted stamped that makes great leaves! I had to try this one out next. I did some more brayering on this card, along with some clear Wink of Stella to make the leaves pop . I always ask my hubby, Brett, which card is his favorite, and he chose this last one. He was so cute. He said "This must be a Christmas in July card." So he does listen when I'm blabbing away about my cardmaking! He's a keeper for sure. 😊 Well, that's all for this hop. Next time I will be hopping with you from my new home in Tennessee. I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by. Click on the links below to continue on with the hop! #stampinup I've got the most wonderful hairdresser. She gets my color just right and she always gives me a good blow-out so that my hair is straight for a week. And she's so fun! We just chat and chat while she's taking care of me. Well, after my last appointment, I got home and realized I'd forgotten to tip her. Ugh. I couldn't believe it! Then I thought of one of the cute sentiments in the "Pun Intended" host set would make a cute card that I could send her to apologize for my forgetfulness and enclose a check for the tip I'd forgotten. For this card, I cut a sheet of Real Red card stock lengthwise. I added a Basic Black panel. Then I cut a Basic Black and Very Vanilla piece of Playful Palette Designer Series Paper just a bit smaller than the Basic Black panel and added it to the card. Finally, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock so that it would layer nicely on the card. I stamped the light in Real Red and the "Sorry, I'm Not Too Bright" sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink. So cute! I especially like that the filiment in the light spells out "love" because I really do love my hairdresser!!
Did you know that $3.00 of every Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set goes to support Ronald McDonald House Charities? To date Stampin' Up has donated more than a million dollars to this charity. The set this year is a knock out. There is also a coordinating Tree Builder Punch. They are the perfect combination. Check out this cute card. The card base is a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". The Whisper White card front (3 3/4" x 5") is layered on a Cucumber Crush mat (5 1/4" x 4). I stamped the clouds with Soft Sky on Whisper White. and punched with the Tree Builder punch. They were added using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the ground, I used an image from the Sheltering Tree stamp set stamped multiple times in Cucumber Crush. So glad this stamp set was carried over to the annual catalog. Cucumber Crush is such a great bright green. Can't wait to use it on Christmas projects. The flowers and grass were added randomly. The cute little basket is stamped in Early Expresso on Crumb Cake cardstock. The basket handles were made from the little candles. The basket was filled with greenery and little Watermelon Wonder flowers. Again the Tree Builder punch and images from Sprinkles of Life were used. Last but not least the sentiment was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black using a stamp from Lovely Amazing You. I actually met the young lady who designed this set at Leadership in Orlando last January. It is actually her handwriting that was used. WOW! This stamp set and coordinating punch are on my list of must haves. Get yours today by going HERE. Thanks for visiting! Come back soon. We are showcasing the beautiful Love and Affection stamp set and coordinating Floral Affection Embossing folders in today's Artisan design team blog hop. For my first project, I wanted work this gorgeous matching patterned paper (from the Affectionately Yours pack) into the mix. I sometimes find it tricky to really feature a pretty paper in a way that allows it to shine, but I'm so pleased with how this design turned out. The Bold Butterfly framelit is a lovely shape for revealing just enough of this beautiful pattern to not feel too busy. The embossing folder and white bakers twine added subtle interest to the white panel. I've heat embossed the sentiment in white on black card to help it stand out from the vibrant background. I'm in love with the very on-trend shiny copper tones in this Specialty paper! I wanted to carry some copper over into my second project today. To do this I chose to stamp some Love and Affection flowers in VersaMark and heat set with the brand new Copper Emboss Powder. The colour scheme of the patterned paper pack made the colour selection for my spray of flowers super easy. Rather than tuck a doily in behind them, as would normally be my go-to subtle layering technique, I decided to add some detail from this second Floral Affection folder instead. Thank you for stopping by today. I know you'll have fun following the hop and browsing all the beautiful creations the rest of the team have come up with! Happy Birthday! This special Blog post has been scheduled just for today.... You see, I sent one of these cute cards to a sweet friend for their BIRTHDAY!!!! AND today is that day!! This person is also into card creating, like myself. But boy is this person talented! Soooooo, I wanted something I wouldn't be ashamed to send.... Something original, funny, cute and artistic! BIG ask! lol I had been seeing so many gorgeous 'Jar of Love' cards...I have even made a couple myself (yet to be blogged) But they all seemed very similar....flowers in a jar, hearts in the jar, even a fish in a jar Another creator Stephanie Fischer had just made a card called 'Ahoy There' (no jars anywhere) BUT it gave me an idea :) I thought, 'Lets tip the jar over a little so it's almost spilling it's contents but not quite! And have fishies inside, Jumping OUT!' I think to myself....WOW!, yes that sounds original & allowed myself a little WHOOP of joy. AND got to creating... Here is it..... Happy Birthday ! #Jaroflove #Happybirthday #frommetoyou #sentwithlove #KOCreationscards #Jaroflove #Happybirthday #frommetoyou #sentwithlove #KOCreationscards The little one on the right is my first effort. Then came version 2 .... not alot different but made a little larger, just so I could add some little extra detail & not overwhelm the card. You are probably wondering what I did for the inside??? Can you see inside a little :) Ok I will stop teasing! hahahaa Here is an open pic of the card. I couldn't let the poor little fishies jump, not without having somewhere safe for them to land! LOL #Jaroflove #Happybirthday #frommetoyou #sentwithlove #KOCreationscards I do hope she liked it... As I scheduled this post on Sunday (19/6) and haven't as yet posted the card to her!!! Gosh I am excited! hehehe Anywho... How I made my 'Jar of Love' cards: I used Peek-a-boo Peach A4 card stock & in colour backgrounds DSP. Thick Whisper White was used as my card base and for the fronts. I used the 'Jar of Love' stamp set for the jars, stamped onto an acetate window sheet in Stazon Jet Black. The sentiment is a mixture of two from the same Jar of Love set and has been stapled together then attached using dimensionals. I cut both jar outlines using Everyday Jars Framelits. I coloured using my aqua painters and my Stampin' Write marker Island Indigo scribbled onto a stampin' block...I mixed the blue at times with Craft Stampin Ink whisper White For the inside I stamped the small jar in Stazon jet black as I didn't want it to bleed or run when painting my flowing water. I stamped the fish in Peek-a-boo Peach and colored very carefully around it. The flowers have been stamped in Peeka-boo-Peach while the leaves were stamped with Emerald Envy. I added the smaller Rhinestones to the smaller flowers on one card. I used the foam adhesive strips to frame up the fish jar (the one sent for the birthday) as it is a shaker card. I used it to raise the front on the smaller card. I used Stampin' Dimensionals under some flowers, to add more depth. #Jaroflove #Happybirthday #frommetoyou #sentwithlove #KOCreationscards If you would like to purchase any of these items please use the 'Carousel' below
