I have seen cards that look like hanging wisteria and I had to make one! I think my friend Melissa will love this card for her workshop tonight! She loves the color purple so I chose to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set and Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Perfect Plum card stock. Purples and greens are a fabulous pairing. And if you follow my projects you know I love to add that pop of Black to my cards...
The Lots of Lavender stamp set is so versatile, I want to show you more ways you can use it! Today's card is a sympathy card. Truthfully - and this sounds funny - I love sending sympathy cards. And the reason is that it's such an important time in the life of others, so sad, and sending a card is something we can actually DO to show our love and compassion. And from my experience, our cards are really important at this time. So of all the cards I send, I feel these are the most meaningful. And the Lots

Wow, did you think I had gone missing from the Colour INKspiration Crew, well even the Crew made have thought so too, but I am back creating again and loving it. For this challenge we are using just three colours - Night of Navy, Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist - #CI25. You maybe starting here so welcome to the blog hop or you could have come from Tanya Bell. I am featuring one of my very favourite Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, Lots of Lavender and I lost count how many times I stamp it in Night of Navy and then used the Stampin' Blends in the light shade of Night of Navy for the flowers and the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Marker for the stems and leaves. I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock a little smaller than the base of Thick Whisper White and draw a border around with the thick end of my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Marker, then layered upon layered the flowers and leaves and finished with a cute sentiment and a scattering of Lemon Lime Twist Sequins. Stamp Set: Lots of Lavender, Lots of Happy (only available with the Card Kit) Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White Ink: Night of Navy Accessories: Night of Navy Stampin' Blends, Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Marker, Lemon Lime Twist Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins A close up of all that colouring and fussy cutting. Now it's time to hop over to Kim Badelt and see what she has created with just these three colours. Don't forget to check out the Facebook Group and like the page as this is where you and all our followers share their paper craft projects using the colour combination. I hope to see you there! There is a new Colour Challenge every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), and a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
I have been going through my stamp sets both old and new, featuring them either on my YouTube channel or here on my blog. Today, it's my turn to play with my Lots of Lavender stamp set! This is a beautiful stamp set that's exclusive to Sale-a-Bration, so if you don't have it yet, you only have til end of March to get it for free! For this card, I decided to color my lavenders in. No Blends? No problem! I unfortunately don't own the Stampin' Blends (yet), but not to worry since I can use both my Aqua Painters and Blender Pens to easily add color to any project! I painted my lavenders using my Aqua Painter...I just put some Perfect Plum ink onto my acrylic block and used it as my palette. Next I wanted to add details to my flowers so I put a drop of Rich Razzleberry ink refill onto my block and dabbed my Blender pen on it...instant marker! For the leaves I stamped them first with the Lemon Lime Twist before putting shading on with my blender pen using Old Olive ink refill. When all of my coloring is done, I made a mask of my flowers using Magic Cover (a transparent shelf liner that I got from the Dollar Store...kinda like a transparent Contact Paper). I used this material because I can trace around my images for creating my mask. I covered my flowers with the mask and stamped my Hardwood background with my Crumb Cake ink pad. I then sponged the edges with the same ink. Finally for the sentiment, I die-cut my 'label' piece of Crumb Cake cardstock from the Rose Garden Thinlits set, used Early Espresso to stamp my sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set and clear heat embossed it. The leaf stems are die cuts from Everyday Jars Framelits. It doesn't show well in the picture but I also used my Wink of Stella on my sentiment for additional shimmer. And that is my card for today crafters! Hope you liked this one, I had lots of fun creating it! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely day! See you next time! Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Welcome to the second Pootlers Blog Hop of 2018. Today we are showcasing the fabulous Sale-A-Bration products. Spend £45 and you get to choose from so many wonderful free products. I love Lavender so when I saw this stamp set I knew I had to order it. For me the only colour it could be was Wisteria Wonder, in real life it is slightly lighter than the photo is showing. Wisteria Wonder is one of my favourite SU Colours and I love how it looks against a white card base. I used Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to colour in the image. Then I used the small triangle stamp from the Picutre Perfect Birthday stamp set, stamped off once to create a background. I cut the image using the layer oval framelits and sponged the edges with Wisteria Wonder. The ribbon is the brand new White Organza ribbon. You can never have too many thank you cards and I just love this Thank you sentiment from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, I heat embossed this using white embossing powder. Don't forget to continue hopping around the blog to see the other fabulous creations my fellow Pootlers have created, you will find lots of inspiration - just click on the names below. Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week. Jillian xx
Hello and welcome to my website I am excited to be taking part in the Inspire.Create. Stamping Challenge #011 Sketch Challenge this week. The fragrance of lavender always brings back childhood memories for me. My Mother would often have lavender scented satchels stowed in her clothes draws. She would say that they were not only pretty but would make her clothing and delicates smell lovely. Apparently dried lavender is also a natural repellent to moths, aids relaxation if a satchel is placed under your pillow before sleeping and a drop or two of lavender oil added to a bath makes for a soothing soak. I personally just love the fragrance. When I found some beautiful lavender gifts in our local gift shop I was immediately reminded of my Mum. She celebrates her Birthday this week then came the light bulb moment- the perfect Birthday gift of my pretty lavender finds and a coordinating card created with our gorgeous Lots of Lavender free Sale-A-Bration stamp set! So using the Inspire.Create.Challenge sketch I set about creating a card and matching gift tag. I wanted a fuller bunch of lavender on the card front so I stamped the lavender bunch four times on scrap paper then coloured the images with my Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers before fussy cutting stems of blooms and layering them into a bunch with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals. I added extra stems below the bow so the bunch would not look too top heavy. Then just for the heck of it I stamped extra bunches of the lavender spray image. This time however I coloured the flowers with my Night of Navy Stampin' Blends. I again fussy cut the stems of blooms but added less layers for a smaller spray. For a final touch I prettied up my envelopes with the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have gained some ideas and for more inspiration pop on over to the Inspire.Create.StampingChallenges site. Happy stamping!
