Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showing how to use a sketch using different stamp sets. Here is the sketch we were challenge to follow. I chose to use the Layering Leaves, which is a Million Dollar Sales Achiever Rachel Tessman's stamp set. I decided to try this layout in two directions; vertical and horizontal. A close look at the card and I dare say I nailed this sketch challenge. The strip with the sentiment on it. Then above and below the greeting is a cluster of foliage. My added detail is the background stamping I did as well with the leaves in a lighter color. Now the hard part is knowing which card you like better. Vertical (above) or Horizonal (below). I love them BOTH and can't wait to make more cards with this layout! The fun doesn't have to stop here! Use the links below to hop through and see more stamp sets with this same layout. Blog Hop Index I am happy to answer any questions about the techniques shown here! Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to make a product purchase. Goos Saturday morning stamping friends and welcome to the weekend. I hope you have some fun plans in the works. I definitely do, I’ll be stamping with friends, seeing new things coming in May…
Hello stampers, It's Friday y'all! WOOHOO! Today's card was made for a sketch challenge for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. I can't believe I haven't used this set yet & I guess I didn't get the memo that the Bough Punch coordinates with this set, guess that will be going on my wish list. EEK! I wanted to showcase a returning color for this challenge & chose Pretty Peacock. For the background, I randomly stamped one of the outline leaf stamps in the Layering Leaves Stamp Set using the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad, then coming back with the solid image which was stamped off once before being stamped. I came back with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad & added a few splotches. For the strip, I used Pretty Peacock Cardstock that I embossed using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders before adhering it to the background using Multipurpose Glue. This whole layer was then adhered to a Pretty Peacock Cardstock base. For the sentiment, I used one from the stamp set with Pretty Peacock Ink & Basic White Cardstock, then layered it with Pretty Peacock Cardstock & then popped it up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals before adding to the card. To finish the card I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. This is the sketch I used for today's card, I'd love to see what you make with it. Working with the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set 'Perfect Pomegranate' today. It was a bit unnerving, as I changed my mind on the direction the card was going to go. But... that's the beauty in creating.... you just let it lead you where you need to go. I like the soft look the dis-ink-tive stamps provide, giving the images depth without too much work. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers... although, it did make the Blackberry Bliss bleed more than it should. Thanks for taking a closer look! Hi again, The stamped leaves and the sentiment here are from the Layering Leaves stamp set (#161277). The leaves were stamped with Pool Party ink (#147107), Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) and Lost Lagoon ink (#161678). The co-ordinating Bough Punch (#157711) was used to punch the leaves. A Timeless Arrangements Die (#161525) was used to cut the smaller leaves from the Pecan Pie card (#161726). This was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334). The Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper (#160839) was matted with the Pretty Peacock card (#150886) then attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). I used 2 designs of the Earthen Elegance DSP (#161503). The Pretty Peacock piece was dry embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder (#161600). I wrapped the Natural Wavy Trim (#161517) around the DSP and attached this to the card front. “Best Wishes” was stamped with Pecan Pie ink (#161665) and cut with a die from the All That Dies (#159078). The stamped leaves were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#152334) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used for the sentiment. The Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems (#161300) were attached to the card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. SHARE. lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
