Here is a SNEAK PEEK at the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set from Stampin' Up! The woodland gnome wishes all a Warm Christmas.
One of the most requested sets you all wanted me to use in a Stampin' Blends Video tutorial was Gnome for the Holidays. I shared tips for coloring these smaller images from Gnome for the Holidays with Stampin' Blends in This Video. Thanks for all your kind comments on the tips for using the markers! This card design is a super easy fun fold idea! I've included the dimensions in one of the photos below. I happened to have a scrap of the 'Tis the Season paper the perfect size to adhere inside the flap and this Gnome
Stampin' Up! Gnome for the Holidays wiper card technique with video tutorial by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations
Yesterday I did my Wednesday Live video on my FB page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness, and showed how to make a fun Balcony fold card. This was SOOOOO easy! (This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links {most are at the end of this post}I may receive a commission at NO cost to you! Thanks so much for your support!) Today I'm sharing the sample card I made to be prepared to show it on video. I wanted to be sure I knew what I was doing before I showed it. And I made a step by step picture tutorial so this post is long and picture heavy. I sure hope you give this a try and check out my video dated yesterday on my YouTube channel! Oh my gosh but isn't this just TOOOO cool! The construction was pretty easy. Are you ready to learn this? To make the base I cut 3 pieces of card stock: One 6" x 6" scored at 3". One 7" x 1 1/2" scored at 1/2", 3 1/2", and 6 1/2" And one 5" x 2 1/2" scored at 1/2", 2 1/2", and 4 1/2". Make all scores mountain folds. I added adhesive to the 2 ends of the 7" strip and adhered to the very bottom of the 6" x 6". You can see the direction the folds go in this picture and where to adhere. After both ends are adhered it should be able to lay flat. Next I added my back inside print layer. You can actually add 2 layers per each side depending on how you want to decorate your card. This layer I used was 2 pieces of 2 7/8" x 5 7/8". If you want this layer to be solid then make your coordinating print pieces 2 3/4" x 5 3/4". Adhere your layer inside and then you will cover the front piece tabs. Now we'll work on the "balcony". Cover the 2 large panels. The folds are all mountain in this panel. On the inside of this panel cover to tabs to coordinate with the large base piece. My pieces are 3/8" x 2 3/8". Turn your panel over and add some good double stick tape to the end tabs. This step is the trickiest. I highly recommend my video for this. I used a good tape by Spellbinders called White Liner but a good Scor-tape is excellent, too. I removed the vinyl covering off the tape on one end only. I carefully inserted my layer inside my card with the bottoms lining up and the mountain fold 1" from the card edge. I actually very lightly taped my card base down so I could use both hands to line up the inside panel correctly. This worked the best for me. After I got the inside piece all lined up I stuck the card down on the inside panel so the adhesive would stick. Then I picked up my card, removed the covering off the tape on the other side of the inside panel and stuck it down. I suggest playing with this before removing the tape lining to be sure you understand. When it was all stuck down I double checked that all my folds lined up. I guess if they don't you have a problem so be very careful when adhering that inner piece. Now I get to decorate!!! I used paper from 2 Craft Consortium paper packs, a fun Scrapbook.com stamp set by Stampendous called Holiday Gnomes, and a new die set from Spellbinders called Create A Christmas Sentiment. I did a lot of coloring and a lot of fussy cutting! Here you can see why I adhered my bottom panel first so the tabs would be covered and why I covered my inside panel tabs so they wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. I added a little "tab" to the back of 2 gnomes to attach them to the inside panel. I glued the top of the tabs to the back of the gnomes then added a dab of glue to the bottom of the tabs so the gnomes feet could hang over the panel. I die cut my words from some glitter paper then adhered them to more glitter paper. They really pop! I hope you give this style of card a try. And look it up on Pinterest! The ones I found there were quite a bit different in design! Shop Stampin' Up Here! Hi Friends, My project today is a 3 1/4 x 2 x 3/4" box that has two top flaps. I made it to fit 6 Hershey Miniature candy bars. You can make 2 of these boxes from 1 piece of 8 1/2 x 11" Cardstock. I used Gnome for the Holidays stamp set, Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and Snowflake Splendor Ribbon from Stampin' Up! You can see my Video Tutorial Here. Please Subscribe! I started with a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock sized 7 1/2 x 5 1/2". I scored the 7 1/2" side at: 2, 2 3/4, 4 3/4 and 5 1/2". I scored the 5 1/2" side at" 3/8, 1 1/8, 4 3/8 and 5 1/8". To cut and put this box together you can watch my Video here. I put the Snowflake Splendor DSP on the box while it was still flat. You need pieces sized: (2) 3 1/8 x 1 7/8" (2) 3 1/8 x 5/8" (2) 5/8 x 1 7/8" I punched a hole in the middle of one of the flaps using the Detail Trio Punch. I stamped the image from Gnome for the Holidays stamp set on Whisper White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the Image with Stampin' Blends: Dark Balmy Blue for hat and clothes, Light Smokey Slate for bell, Dark Smokey Slate for boots, you can use Light Petal pink and Rocco Rose for nose and Light Petal Pink for the hands. I fussy cut the image out and attached it to a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock sized 1 3/8 x 2 3/8" with liquid glue. I attached the Balmy Blue Image piece to Pacific Point Cardstock sized 1 1/2 x 2 1/2". I attached it over the ribbon on top of the box with Dimensionals. I put some Wink of Stella on the Gnome's hat and bell. I also attached some Adhesive Backed Snowflakes around the top of the image. I put Snowflake Splendor Ribbon down through the top of the hole in the box, wound it around the box and tied a bow on the side. You can buy your Stampin' Up! supplies with Me here. Friendly Gnomes Card & Video Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes Stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog is so much fun. The gnomes are cute and can be used for a number of occasions. One gnome is even holding a heart, perfect for Valentine’s Day. The Gnome Dies from the Holiday Catalog also work on these
If you know me, you know I love gnomes! So this was the first stamp set I HAD TO HAVE from the new mini catalog. Just look at these guys! I used Heartwarming Hugs DSP with all these cards. The colors and patterns in this paper is great. The Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders are such a great value and can be used with everything! This little girl is all dressed up and has found her way home! See what I did with the little adhesive star from the All The Trimmings Embellishments pack? So true...there's no place like GNOME for the Christmas season! I went a little outside the box with these colors because I thought the snowflake hat should be blue. So I paired Night of Navy with the green gingham in the DSP and colored the hat Balmy Blue. The Navy layer is embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder, and Snowflake Adhesive-backed Embellishments are sprinkled all around. You don't always need a verse inside your card. But I do like to add a piece of DSP to the bottom to carry the colors to the inside. And finally I put all the friends together. Don't you just love them! Gnome for the Holidays plus Heartwarming Hugs DSP = FUN!
I needed to catch up on Customer Thank You cards and landed on this card idea after seeing a cute Gnome card by Kurstan! My Gnome cards feature the Stampin' Up! Hello everyone! I am here with Gina K. Designs featuring the newly released "Gnome for the Holiday" Stamp n' Stencil™ Craft Kit. Gina K. Designs and Thermoweb Designers have joined together for an Instagram Hop to show off this wonderful Craft Kit. You can start the instagram hop here, be sure to join. There will be two random winners from BOTH companies IG hops & designer IG accounts. The hop will end on Sunday, October 18th at 11:59 pm CST. Winners will be announced on the 19th. I have created two cards for your inspiration: My first card is a slimline card, here are Gina K. Designs measurements if you want to create one for yourself. I cut the top layer at 3 5/8 x 8 5/8 I stamped the mountains from the Gnome for the Holiday stamp set with GKD ink. I then masked the mountains and inked the sky with GKD inks. I then added some Glitz Glitter Gel Iridescent to the mountain top using the stencil from the Craft Kit, I let that dry and then added some snow in the sky using GKD Stencil Snowfall. I set this aside to dry. The gnomes I die cut the body with Deco Foil Toner Sheets and then foiled it with the GKD/ Thermoweb Fancy Foils. I die cut the hats with GKD cardstock and used the Deco foil Transfer Gel Duo with the stencil from the craft kit and then used the Fancy Foils after the gel dried, I ran it through the foiling machine. The beards I die cut using Thermoweb White Flock. The balls on the Gnomes hats are also cut from Thermoweb White Flock. I assembled their bodies and wallah they are all together. I die cut the trees and added the Transfer Gel Duo and added the Fancy Foils and ran it through the foiling machine. I cut a snow bank at the bottom of my card, added the sentiment from the Craft Kit and added it to my card and then assembled the card. My next card, I created an A2 shaker card. I cut the top panel at 4 x 5 1/4, I die cut a circle toward the top of the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in the craft kit. I added some acetate in the back of the circle panel and added some of GKD foam tape cutting it in thin strips around the back of the panel. I sat this aside to create the gnome. The ball on the Gnome hat is also cut from Thermoweb White Flock. I assembled his body. I added the sequins from the GKD mermaid tail and added the piece of cardstock I created a background scene using the technique above. I added this panel to the card base. I added the Gnome to the front of the shaker card and added the blue heart from the GKD Rainbow hearts to finish the card off. Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have been inspired and will join the hop. Here are the supplies I used for this card. Affiliate Links used at no cost to you.

Love this background stamp and it works wonderfully with the Sending Smiles bundle. The inside sentiment says "to brighten your day". I masked it so that I could have just the "sunshine" on the card front, and then masked the sunshine word, so that I would have the rest of the sentiment on the inside. Stampin'Up! has Masking Paper, page 149 of the annual catalog. Supplies are below. Just click to order. Order this from me, and I will send you a card made with it! (Maybe even this one). We made this nice masculine card at my class last week: It's a perfect card for a guy, and could be used for a variety of occasions. I love the Come Sail Away suite, and this card uses many of the products that are available in the bundle. We started with a piece of 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy cardstock, folded in half. To this we adhered two strips of the Come Sail Away designer series paper, leaving a small space between them. Then we wrapped the Bakers Twine around the card twice, ending with a knot and an anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets. The sailboat and lighthouse (from Sailing Home) were stamped on Sahara Sand using Night of Navy ink, then cut with the coordinating Smooth Sailing dies. Don't recognize the sentiment? Well that's where we went AWOL from the suite, and picked up the phrase from the adorable On To Adventure set. It was stamped on Sahara Sand and cut with the Smooth Sailing dies (a second label was cut using Night of Navy; we snipped it in half and "spread" it to create the frame around the sentiment). And we finished with a ships wheel, cut with the dies and Soft Suede cardstock. I'm starting to like making masculine cards! The Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE offer going on now through September 30. Don't miss out! Look at this cute swinging legged gnome! He is just stinkin' adorable! How did I make the gnome? Here are all of the pieces I used to make the gnome. Hat, nose, beard, 2 hands, 2 arms & feet. I cut the swing hole piece out of a 3/4 x 1" piece. NOTE: I did trim the swing hole piece down though after taking this photo & made it 3/8 x 1" & I diagonally snipped of the top corners too a little, as it was hitting on the arms when it was wider. This is the gnome all assembled. Add dimensionals as shown- be sure to not put them too low. AND put the arms UP a little higher than shown, so that they don't hit on the legs when they swing. Add the swing piece & legs like this with 2 mini dimensionals on top of each other. Theses stacked dimensionals will be stuck to the back side of the beard. NOTE: I did snip the top corners off of this just alittle from the swinging mechanism so it wouldn't hit the arms when it was swinging. Now add the gnome to the embossed snowflake piece.
