Welcome to this months first Alaska Achievers Blog Hop! In case you haven't been to one of our blog hops before - these are Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from all around the globe that have achieved the Incentive trip for working very hard at their businesses. You will be inspired by all these clever and creative people. This month our theme is "Something I would like :)" Diesesmal haben wir kein vorgegebenes Thema sondern jeder darf machen worauf er Lust hat. Ich habe mir das Set "Weihnachten daheim" genommen. Ich finde das Set ist wunderschön für Weihnachtskarten und auch sehr vielseitig, was meinst Du? I have taken the set "Hearts Come Home". I think its great for christmascards! What do you mean? I hope you like my christmascards. I am always happy about a comment from you. Ich bin sehr gespannt was meine Kolleginnen gemacht haben und hüpfe gleich mal zu den anderen Blogs. Du findest die Liste gleich hier drunter. I am very curious what my colleagues have done and bounce right to the other blogs. You can find the list right here. Blogliste:
Hello and welcome. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. For challenge #025 we have a colour challenge the pretty colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Lemon Lime Twist. I felt these bright, beautiful colours had a tropical feel so I have chosen to use the stamp set and thinlits bundle Tropical Chic for my projects today. With the cold weather still hanging around I can only dream of a beautiful tropical resort with drinks being served while I lie soaking up the warm sun by the pool. My niece actually owns a resort in Sir Lanka and has offered us an open invitation, so maybe one day. For today's projects I have made 2 thank you cards and a gift box. You may notice the subtle differences in the card samples above and the little gift box. Firstly I have used sponging to give a blended effect to the hibiscus flowers and leaves where as the flowers and leaf on the box below were stamped. Also there are two types of dies in the set. The above cards have had their leaves diecut to the outline of the stamped image whereas the flowers and leaf on the box were diecut leaving a border around the stamped image. With my stamps and dies still on my craft table I thought I would create a Scrapbook page in my feeble attempt to do some catching up with my Grandchildren's albums. This set is so versatile I can also see a few more Scrapbook pages begging to be made. Thank you for visiting me today. Please you are more than welcome to enter your projects for the Inspire.Create Stamping Challenges. We really would love to see your creations. Also pop over here for a visit to see the projects of other talented stampers. Today's card is a birthday card using Stampin' Up!'s new Celebration Time Bundle!
Moody Mauve with Pansy Patch [Edit added] So delighted, my Moody Mauve Pansy card was a Global Design Project winner! Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week, however, we are starting with the new colours, with the 2023-2025 In Colours first. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a muted reddy purple called Moody Mauve. Moody Mauve is part of the new 2023-2025 In Colour Family and is a colour I love - but then, I love muted colours. This colour would be lovely when used for flowers and all things mauve. I’m still exploring coordinating colours and have used Old Olive, some Mossy Meadow with a touch of Daffodil Delight in the card below. It also would go beautifully with Fresh Freesia. Moody Mauve is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin' Blends Combo; In Color Designer Series Paper as well as Fresh As A Daisy, Earthen Elegance DSPs; plus In Color Luster Speciality Paper, Treat Bags & Grid Paper, In Color Textured Ribbon & Jute Trim; and In Color Dots. Moody Mauve card-stock, ink, In Color Textured Ribbon and In Color Dots have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Moody Mauve bits and pieces. As Mothers’ Day was fast approaching I was looking at plants in my local nursery and saw some gorgeous pansies displaying Moody Mauve petals. I determined to water-colour die cut pansies for this Blog Hop. I then saw the newly released Global Design Project Challenge - #GDP394 so have used that layout for my card. I love to follow the GDP as most of the team have been and or are Stampin’ Up! Artisans. Always inspiring. Clicking on this image will take you to the GDP web site. The pansies, bud and leaves were cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper using the Pansy die set. These pieces were water-coloured - wet on wet technique using Moody Mauve Classic Stampin’ ink together with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Classic inks. A piece of Basic White card-stock was used for the background. Delicate stencilling was added using a Foursquare Decorative Mask with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks. Patches of Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadow were added with Blending Brushes with some colour blending in areas. This panel was adhered directly to a Moody Mauve card-base. All the water-coloured flower, leaves and bud pieces were arranged with regard to the #GDP394 layout. A sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set was white heat embossed on Moody Mauve card-stock with Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. As it was a really long sentiment, it was cut into three. Some Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon was cut lengthwise into 3 and the 2 edge pieces were tied into a bow and tucked under a pansy with Glue Dots. A few beautiful 2023-2025 In Color Dots added a final touch of shine. A Basic White card inner also was stencilled with Daffodil Delight and Mossy Meadows inks along the inner and bottom edges. Another sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamps was stamped with Moody Mauve ink. An envelope will be similarly stencilled. Thank you so much for dropping by. I so appreciate you spending time with me. There is more Moody Mauve creativity so do continue with the blog hop. Just click the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of my fellow South Australian, the talented Tina Gillespie. I am looking forward to checking out Tina’s creation. I hope to see you next week when we will be featuring Pebbled Path, another of the new In Colour family, as we continue the weekly 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop series. Hi all, I know you are probably wondering where I have been - I will share some details but first let me show you the first of many projects that I have been creating. I went with a bright and and funky card that would be perfect for kids of any age (as well as adults), using the Celebrate Toady Stamp Set and the Balloon Framelits Dies. I love this stamp set and die, and you will see more cards using these later this week. This card has a Whisper White card base which I layered with the Pacific Point dot DSP from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack, and used the Sweet Taffy DSP behind the cut out balloons. I wanted a smaller balloon so I used the Circles Dies and used the top of the Streamers from the Balloons Die Set to cut the 'tail' of the balloon and added some co-ordinating Bakers Twine and voila. There are links below to some of the products used. I must apologise for being gone for so long. Unfortunately restructuring at work left us under resourced and 'highly stressed'!!! In addition my father has dementia and unfortunately has deteriorated significantly over the last few years, last year needing full time nursing care. All I can say is it is a horrible illness, I have slowly lost the father I knew (even though he is still with us), and watched my mother struggle as she saw the deterioration of the husband she had shared her life with for almost 50 years. As a result I struggled to keep my Stampin Up going, even taking a break from classes for 6 months last year (sorry ladies), but I made a decision this year to reduce to work only 4 days a week, allowing me more time to spend with my parents and renew my love of creating. And finally I have found some balance! Whisper White A4 Card Stock $14.95 Brights Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stack $37.95 Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper $18.95 Celebrate Today Photopolymer Stamp Set $44.95 Balloon Framelits Dies $29.95 Table by StampinBuddy. Hello again, This motor bike is made with Legendary Ride dies (#160762) and was much easier than I thought it may be. I used Basic Black card (#121688), 2 colours from the Silver Foil 12”x12” Specialty Pack (#156457) and Real Red card (#106578) to make up the motor bike. Below are the dies and die cuts used to make the bike. The sentiment is from the Legendary Ride stamp set (#160754) and stamped with Real Red ink (#147084). The ends of the label were punched with the Happy Labels Pick A Punch (#160693). The base card is Basic White (#159228). I attached a piece of the Ready To Ride 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#160752) to the Basic White card front and then this was matted with Real Red card. The Basic White card behind the bike was dry embossed with the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder (#160766) and also matted with Real Red card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. The Stampin' Up! Thinlits Card dies have literally been flying off the shelf! They make the cutest little flip cards. Today I wanted to show you how to cut your cardstock to make an extra flap on the right hand side. This project was adapted from a video I saw by the very talented Patty Bennett in the US. I'll give you the link to the video and to Patty's blog at the end of the post. The measurements here are adapted to an A4 sheet of cardstock, so that you can get two cards from an A4 sheet, s...

It's that time again; time for the monthly Control Freaks Tour de Freaks! This month's theme is Fun & Fancy Free, which means anything goes! Should be an interesting tour this month (not that they aren't always, but you know what I mean). If you started at the beginning, you just landed here from Wickedly Wonderful Creations. Wendy always has something special to share! I'm number two on the tour, and there are fourteen of us this month, so be sure you click the "next" button at the bottom of each page so you don't miss anything! Hoo boy, my mind went in about a million different directions since we didn't have a theme, but I finally settled on using the gorgeous Serene Scenery DSP stack, and seeing where it would take me. First up is a cute little Bluebird sitting on a twine "wire." We have tons of birds flitting in the trees and shrubs here, so the leaves on this sheet inspired me. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to add some shine to the bird's eyes. (Those leaves look a lot like my poor sapling cherry tree's leaves since the darn Japanese beetles have been at them. Grrr!) STAMPS: Best Birds CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Serene Scenery DSP INK: Basic Black Archival, Pacific Point, Flirty Flamingo ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Birds & Blooms Framelits, Black Baker's Twine, Fine-Tip Glue Pen Next I wanted to use the sheet that had the rustic painted paneling, and immediately thought "country chic" which led me to the cowboy boots in Country Livin'. This card is going to a friend tomorrow, as part of the #imbringingbackhappymail challenge! STAMPS: Country Livin', Love & Affection CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Kraft, Soft Suede, Serene Scenery DSP INK: Basic Black Archival, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, So Saffron ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits, Blender Pen, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, 3/8" Very Vanilla Stitched Satin Ribbon Lastly, I went in a whole 'nother direction with the paper stack. As soon as I saw the dotted Crumb Cake (on the back of what I call the Amber Waves of Grain, lol), I knew it had to be snow! And yes, it is July and hotter'n Hades, but I'm dreaming about cooler seasons just ahead! This card uses the AWESOME limited-release Thoughtful Branches bundle that will be available to customers from August 2nd-31st. The tree was die-cut in Soft Suede and Whisper White. The WW was glued to the back a little offset, so it looks like snow on the branches. Cool, huh? (See what I did there? Heh heh) STAMPS: Thoughtful Branches, Snow Place CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Serene Scenery DSP INK: Real Red, VersaMark ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Seaside T.I.E.F., Heat Tool, Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Metallics Sequin Assortment, Fine-Tip Glue Pen A bit of clear Wink of Stella was added to the ridges of the Seaside T.I.E.F.-embossed cardstock. It looks like snowdrifts, to me! That's all I have to share this month, so hop on over to Debbie Henderson's blog, Debbie's Designs for more Fun & Fancy inspiration!
