Happy Wednesday all!....I thought l would share some playtime l had on the weekend using the Stampin Up Fringe Scissors. I was looking at some punched circles laying on my desk and with the Fringe Scissors in my hand from a different project, it occurred to me they might work as a layered almost Gerbera style flower. This is the result..."I like it" So of course l needed to make some different colour ways, this one is Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals. The yellow one is made with Crushed Curry & So Saffron, l liked the idea of two tone for a variegated look. I thought l would provide a quick how to picture tutorial, for anyone that wants to try...:0) The punch sizes l used are...2-1/2" 1-3/4" 1-3/8" & 1/2" Once you get to this point, you layer one on top of the other, off setting the petals and then just fluff away until you're happy with the look...:0) "Thanks for stopping by" All supplies used are Stampin Up!

Welcome to another edition of "5 Ways on Fridays" where you will learn unique and different ways to use a Stampin' Up! product! Today we are talking about Fringe Scissors Certain projects are easier when you have the right tools and this is one of those tools: Every time you squeeze the handles of your fringe scissors together, you are cutting not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES! Talk about conserving energy :) "What can I do with them besides making grass?" you may be asking yourself. You've come to the right place! 1. Fringe scissors make Ombre Fringe cards and tags in a jiffy! For this tag, I used Soft Sky, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo card stock, along with the new Tag Topper punch: While you are "fringing", check out this adorable Fringe Chandelier made by Lauren Elise for the Knotty Bride: 2. Create a crepe paper garland! This tutorial from Yesterday on Tuesday shows a few different styles and hello! This is super fast with your fringe scissors: 3. Flowers or "pom poms" are adorable accents to any project. Lisa Brown from inkandinspirations shows you how fun and easy these are to make using Stampin' Up! Crepe Filter Paper: Thanks Lisa! 4. If you cut across your fringe the opposite way, you end up with CONFETTI! At Stampin' Up! Leadership last month, Shelli demonstrated how to create a shaker card using the confetti made with fringe scissors: Cut the corner of a clear envelope to the size you need (in this case, just a smidge taller than the photo frame die cut). Stamp image on top of clear envelope with Stazon, then seal the confetti in with a thin strip of sticky strip. Place behind the die cut and voila! Shake away! 5. A strip of fringe from Designer Series Paper or crepe paper is easy to adhere around a curved object like a basket or hat brim: Image from Spotted Canary For these medallions, I just punched two circles and cut in from the edge. I used two because when you cut into the circle, some of the pieces fall off and it's not perfectly round, so layering them gives the illusion they are still circles :) At just $9.95, these scissors are an awesome addition to your crafting toolbox! Order your Fringe Scissors in my Stampin' Up! store today and start living on the edge :)
Well, if you are still waiting for your Fringe Scissors that you ordered recently….sorry, but they are STILL on backorder! These things must be very popular, since it seems like ages since they hav…

To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Stampin' Up! will donate $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber. Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber. Together, we will make a difference! Here's how you can help: Subscribe! If you're new to Paper Pumpkin, click here to get started. Your first kit will arrive in a limited-edition pink box that you'll want to hold onto forever-and we'll donate $2 because you're new! Stay active if you're a subscriber so we can donate $1 for you. Only those who receive the October shipment will be counted for the donation. Spread the word! Help us get as many new subscribers as possible. Every current subscriber adds $1 and for new subscribers it's doubled, so let's get the word out and raise as much as possible. If you have been on the fence about Paper Pumpkin, this could be just the thing that makes you want to give it a try! Be sure to share my Subscribe link with everyone! Sign up by October 10 so you can be a part of something bigger with a donation to BCRF. Remember, those who get the October kit will not only be donating to a good cause, but they will also get a one-time only, pretty pink Paper Pumpkin box! No one will want to miss it. Promise. More About BCRF The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder's Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation's most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. For more information, please visit: www.bcrfcure.org. Additional Details: New subscribers are those who signed up between September 11 and October 10, 2015 and have not been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber at any time in the past. All funds will be donated in US dollars. Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That's all we're saying. ;) Funds will be donated based on number of subscribers instead of boxes shipped. But, if you want more than one pink box, you can always increase your subscription quantity by logging into your account before October 10. Ready for some awesome savings?! Stampin' Up! Here's a fun card for a Friday! It is also very easy to create. I simply fringed 1 1/4" strips of cardstock with my fringe scissors (Item 133325, $9.95). The fringe colors are Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Strawberry Slush, and Melon Mambo. They overlap each other about 1/2", leaving 3/4" of each showing, and the Coastal Cabana strip is 3/4" wide. The greeting is from one of my favorite greeting sets - Delightful Dozen (images shown below), which is on the Retiring List 🙁 Today is the last day of the FREE Shipping! Don't miss out! Orders placed online up until 1:50 am (11:50 pm MT) are eligible. Or, please contact me by 5 pm if you would like me to include your items in the group order I am collecting. Have a great weekend!
