Hello and welcome. Friday means it's time to share my Just Add Ink challenge project with you. This week's challenge is to make a card using two of three possible elements (Brights, Foliage, or Friend). I chose foliage and friend, making a soft and pretty thinking of you card for a friend, using the Dainty Delight dies, Layering Leaves stamp set and lots of embossing. Here's how it turned out. I wanted to use the beautiful curved stem die from the Dainty Delight die set as the main focal point and my foliage challenge element, so I started by cutting it from a rectangle of white card, and stamping the sentiment in Basic Grey (from Layering Leaves - my go to for all occasion cards). The white panel is embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder, (twice actually - I moved it on the second pass to make the pattern less distinct). However it does looks much more distinct and the sentiment less so in the pic than in real life (the result of poor light and high ISO photography I think). I applied Dimensionals to the back and mounted it on a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, to create some shadow. I embossed the base panel with the crosshatch pattern from the Basics embossing folder pack. A second curved, floral stem (Dainty Delight) in Soft Sea Foam card with some highlights of Stampin' Blends markers in light and dark Soft Sea Foam is offset on top of the panelSome pearls finished off the stem. Some hindsight observations before I go on. The retired Subtle embossing folder would have been my usual and I think more subtle patter choice for the white panel. I also wish I'd left off the three flowers. I initially thought they added some more subtle detail but I think now that they detract from the pretty stem. Maybe I'll make version two with those differences, as I need another thinking of you card to. Meanwhile, inside I've repeated themes from the front. I do love that stem. So that's my Choose Two challenge card. While some things didn't quite turn out like I'd imagined, I like the idea. Most importantly, I have a finished card that can be sent to the recipient to hopefully brighten their day, and share with you so you can try it too. Head to the Just Add Ink blog to see all our team challenge projects and to share your own challenge project. Would love to see what you create. If you'd like to try your own version of my card, take a look at the full supply list here in my store, where you can order what you need. Thanks for visiting today. Until next time, happy stamping. Hi and welcome friends, A beautiful subtle coloured card today which could be used for a variety of occasions. I stamped the flowers from the Dainty Delight stamp set (#161078) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto Very Vanilla card (#106550) I used Stampin’ Blends to colour the flowers & leaves - Flirty Flamingo (#154884), Daffodil Delight (#154883), and Granny Apple Green (#154885). This was cut with a Dainty Delight Die (#160674). The card base is Very Vanilla. The card front is Hello, Irresistible (#161468) 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#161139). I stamped the next layer with the Countryside Corners stamp set (#161468) and Daffodil Delight ink (#147094). This was cut with a Countryside Corners die (#161471). I also cut another piece of Very Vanilla card with the next smaller die and embossed this with a Basics Die161598) and attached it on top. The flowers were attached on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The sentiment from Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and cut with another Countryside Corners die. This was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The cute Brush Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to the card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am taking part in the Stamp Around Uk Video hop along with some of my talented friends who are also Stampin Up UK demos. This month our theme is "Fun Folds" and I have stepped outside of my comfort zone to make this three panel crossover card. My card was heavily inspired by a New Zealand demo - Jacque Williams - do pop over and see her version. The card uses the Dainty Delight dies and when it is laid flat, it is quite deceptive. I do hope you'll take a look at my video to see how I made this card and see how it works! To see my video you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below. Hello again stamping friends, The Dainty Flowers 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#160834) is a Sale-a-bration product (with a $90 order) and it co-ordinates with the beautiful Dainty Delight Bundle (#160675). If you purchase this bundle you will be able to get the DSP to match for free. I have used this DSP for the background. The “stitching” around the edge is achieved with the Stitched With Whimsey Dies (#155314). This was matted with Basic Black card (#121688) then attached to the Crushed Curry base card (#131288). The floral images from the Dainty Delight stamp set (#161078) were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and coloured with Stampin’ Blends which include Old Olive (#154892), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Sweet Sorbet (#159224) and Orchid Oasis (#159223). The stamped images and the Gold Foil Brushed Metallic cardstock (#153524) were cut with the Dainty Delight Dies (#160674). The gold was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334). The stamped images were attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). “Thinking Of You” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The ends of the sentiment were punched with the Happy Labels Pick A Punch (#160693). The edges were daubered with Crushed Curry ink (#147087), then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The embellishments are from the Iridescent Pastel Gems (#160429). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. SHARE. lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
