Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous Sunday! Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Andrea Saragent's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing an Embossing Project from the Stampin' Up! 2024 Annual Catalogue. I was drawn to this gorgeous sample from the Annual catalogue that uses the super cute Sweet Peas Stamp set. I love the card design/layout and the use of the white embossing on the coloured cardstock as a background element on the card. I've used that embossing design on my card and added some extra embossing elements to really step it up. I've used the Country Woods Suite (again) for my card today. I just keep being drawn to this suite time and time again. I don't think I've ever gotten so much use from one suite as I have like this one. I've kept the same colour for my base layers as the original sample - Pool Party and then layered the card up from there. I used the Eyelet Embossing Folder to emboss the base layer and then on my square piece used one of the floral images from the Country Flowers Stamp Set for some heat embossing. On the Perennial Postage die cut piece I scored/embossed some lines across the die cut to create a grid pattern. I stamped the stool piece on the Country Woods DSP for that white washed wood look and then added the tea pot coloured with Stampin' Blends, leaves and some die cut flowers. I doubled up the flowers to give them more of a fuller look. I finished the card off with some more flowers off to the side to keep with a similar design to the catalogue same and then added the Happy Birthday sentiment. I hope that I've inspired you with my Embossed project and have encouraged you to use more embossing in your creations. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is the fabulous Peta Stephen with her embossed creation. Julia Quinn Rebecca Scurr Rochelle Laird-Smith Andrea Sargent Rochelle Blok - You are here Peta Stephen Courtenay Heuston Judy May We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! It's a fun time in the stamping world! There's so much excitement around the products going away and how their absence makes room for all the new products on the way. Over the past couple of weeks, my posts have mixed retiring products with new, upcoming products. Today is all

Hello stamping friends. Welcome to Funky Folds Blog Hop #3. We are a community for like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky/fancy/fun folds and to share our ideas. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”. We are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait of landscape style cards. Each and every month the blog hops will have and 'anything goes' theme as long as your card has some type of 'funky' fold. I've made for you today a Star Explosion Pop-Up card using products from the beautiful Stampin' Up! Country Woods Suite found in the new 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. I've used the tutorial and measurements from Sam Calcott at Mixed Up Craft. When the card is closed it looks fairly inconspicuous but when you take off the belly band and open the card up that is where the magic happens. Here on the front I've layered Basic White, Pool Party and the Country Woods DSP for the front of the card and then I've used Misty Moonlight for the belly band and added DSP, Ribbon, stamped images and die-cuts using products from the Country Woods Suite. On the inside is a scored centre panel that all folds in neatly together when the card is folded closed. When opened the centre circle piece pops up and stands up a little off the card for that added element and dimension. As well as using the Country Woods DSP I've also adde some of the Country Lace DSP to layer on some of the panels and used more of the products from the Country Woods suite to embellish the inside. I coloured the floral images in using Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and used the same floral images on the front as what is on the inside to keep that continuity from the outside to the inside. Stampin' Blends Used Flowers - Light Peach Pie, Light & Dark Petal Pink, Light Summer Splash, Light & Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Boho Blue, Light Balmy Blue, Light Lemon Lolly Leaves - Light & Dark Mossy Meadow Teapot - Light and Dark Gray Granite I've even added some Basic White Panels on the back for you to write your message. This is such a WOW card when you open it. It's one of those cards that you hand deliver to your best crafting friend just so that you can see their reaction to when they open it. I do hope you like my Funky Fold that I've shared with you today. I just love how it turned out especially with the use of the Country Woods Suite products. This is another amazing suite that I've fallen in love with. Next up is Bronwyn Eastley from Tasmania, Australia with her Funky Fold. I can't wait to see what she has made for us. Rochelle Blok - You are Here Bronwyn Eastly Cathy Pinchbeck Julia Quinn Chantell Randall Cindy Mitchell-Clark Lou Kitzelman Rochelle Laird-Smith Jan McQueen Elizabeth Gross If you love to make cards with creative folds and would like to join in with our monthly Funky Folds Blog Hop, you are welcome to head on over to our community group on Facebook HERE to be part of the fun. SNEAK PEEK! Country Woods Suite Collection by Stampin' Up! Stesha Bloodhart Stampin Hoot!
Well it's been a hot minute since I've shared a project hasn't it? And hot can be taken a few ways at least here in Central Virginia! I was out of town last week and I even brought my computer to share a few projects but I just didn't make the time to do it and then once I got back home there was a bajillion (actual number!) things that needed my attention. And I may or may not have spent several hours at the pool with my book because that was about the only way being outside was bearable! But now I've finally grabbed a few minutes to try to get back in the swing of things stamping-wise! My stampers made this design a few weeks ago at class and it was the first time I've shown them the Country Birdhouse bundle and they all thought it was adorable! How can you not love this sweet stamp set and the dies just make it even better! I used a lot of new product on this card because I don't want my stampers to miss out on anything! I also showed them the quick trick of how to stamp mirror images using the silicone craft mat since this set only comes with one bird image and I wanted 2 birds towards each other!. We started with a Misty Moonlight card base, then a layer of Basic White is embossed with the sweet Eyelet embossing folder. Next the birdhouse is die cut using pieces of Country Woods DSP, Basic White and an Early Espresso punched circle for the opening and also for the hanging bow. The flowers and one bird are stamped in Misty Moonlight onto Basic White. To make the mirror image stamp the bird onto the silicone craft mat and then carefully press a piece of Basic White over the image. Voila! You've now got a bird facing the opposite direction! To die cut the mirror image simply hold the image up to a bright light or a bright window and line the die up on the back of the image and secure it with a piece of painters tape, masking paper or washi tape and then run it through your die cutter. Below is a quick video showing how I did the stamping. After all of the images were stamped they are colored in with Stampin' Blends then die cut and added to the card front. The birdhouse fills up pretty much all of the card front so it doesn't need much else to finish the card. We added a few Pool Party adhesive-backed Dots for Days as a final touch. All of the supplies used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Country Birdhouse Ink: Misty Moonlight Blends: Pool Party light & dark, Petal Pink light & dark, Crumb Cake light, Lemon Lolly light Paper: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Country Woods DSP, Early Espresso Accessories: Country Birdhouse dies, dimensionals, Adhesive-backed Dots for Days, circle punch, Eyelet embossing folder, silicone craft mat

Welcome to another fabulous Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge. This challenge is full of cheerful spring-inspired images that are full of creative inspiration. I ordered the Country Woods Suite Collection after OnStage and the cute little birdhouse from the Country Birdhouse bundle was perfect for this challenge! . I love that you can either stamp and die-cut the birdhouse or you can build your own birdhouse with the additional dies. I chose to build my own, using paper from both Country Woods and Country Lace DSP. The striped Country Lace pattern in the background is my favorite! I stamped the bird and floral images from Country Birdhouse and colored them with Calypso Coral and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. The sweet birdie was colored with Boho Blue, Pool Party and Pecan Pie. The Country Flower dies helps to add some extra foliage and flowers as well. The Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls are so pretty! They filled the center of each flower with just the right amount of shimmer. A simple Hello Friend sentiment finished this sweet little card. Oh, and I can't forget the adorable hanging bow at the top of the bird house! All of these items will be available with the launch of the new catalog on May 1, 2024. This will be a suite you want to add to your collection for sure! Happy Stamping!

Hello stamping friends, I have another sneak peek to share with you from the 2024-2025 Annual catalogue. As a demonstrstor we have access to preorders from new upcoming catalogues. When I first saw the Country Flowers Bundle, I knew it was one that I would love. The stamp set includes two different containers, three foliage and flower stamps, a stool and five greetings. For this card I stamped the front pail and flowers first. I created a mask for the pail and then stamped the stool and the teapot and flowers. I stamped the stool again on a piece of woodgrain card stock from the Country Woods DSP and fussy cut it out. I trimmed the stool so that it would fit behind the front pail. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers and cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die. Happy Easter stamping friends, be sure to pop back soon for more peeks from the new catalogue. If you live in Australia and do not already have a demo, contact me and I can send you your own catalogue as soon as it's available. Happy stamping, Rachel
