Hello Beautiful People. Welcome to the Colour Combo hop for August. This months colours are Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede. Lovely colours aren't they? I've used the Basket Of Blooms stamp set today with Stampin' Blends in our months colours. I stamped the basket in Soft Suede and coloured with Soft Suede blends. I stamped the foliage and flowers in Memento Black Ink and coloured with Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry blends. I made this into a little 3 x 3" note card which was perfect for this little image. The sentiment comes from Harvest Hello's. Thank you for being here today. Please click on the links below to visit everybody today. We love having you visit, we especially love when you leave us some love while here. Next up is Rochelle Laird-Smith. Head on over and check out what beautiful project Rochelle has for us today. If you've heard the news, now I want to tell you why I love the 2018 Stampin Up colour revamp! Yes, there's a lot of changes but they are aALL good!
What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge. Anyone with Facebook can join in. You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator. I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge. Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 2000 members and see what it’s all about. Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge – The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches. Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop. Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided. If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook. The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist. Hello from Rose's project I really love this colour combo together and I had the perfect stampset to use with it! Perfect for man cards. The brick folder and birch stampset are great on the background of this card and they don't detract from the main image. The man and the little girl themselves are coloured in Stampin' Blends and the clothing that they are wearing is paper pieced in the colours of the challenge. I love how it turned out. It reminds me of myself as a little girl (but my dad used to have curly hair now he is pretty bald lol) Come on over and join us in this challenge, they are fun and awesome to do! Stamps: Birch and a Good Man Ink: Memento Black, Pacific Point and Balmy Blue Card: Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzaz, Pacific Point and Merry Merlot Tools: Stitched Nested Dies & Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder with a Die Cutting Machine as well as Ivory, Light Daffodil Delight and Bronze Stampin' Blends Embellishments: Dimensionals Now back to the beginning of the hop to the Lovely Lou to see what she made.
Hello and welcome, It's time for another Colour INKspiration Challenge #83 and this gorgeous picture was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member Nikki Spencer. As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI83 are Bumblebee, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White and Basic Black, you may also include Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all of the colour palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin' Up! substitute (ie: Crushed Curry instead of Bumblebee you.. get the drift). We hope you can participate this round and we look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is NEW and specifically for this challenge. #CI83 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on Monday August 24th. For my card I've used the Forever Fern Bundle and including those gorgeous Gold Hoop Embellishments. I'm just loving those Hoops so much! I've also used the medium Daisy Punch, punched out three times in Whisper White Cardstock, sponged Bumblebee Ink with a Sponge Dauber and added tiny dots for the center of the Daisy using the Stampin' Write Marker. The challenge colours for the foliage remind me of the Australian Native Bush, like the Australian Wattle Tree. I've added one of the wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements. Giving the card a natural earthy look about it. Before layering all of the elements to the card, I've placed the panel of Whisper White Cardstock to the panel of Basic Black Cardstock and then adding the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the two panels. Once everything was added, I've used thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base. The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set which is from the Annual Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Catalogue and can be found on page 133. I really love the two different fonts in the text. Well I hope I've inspired you to come and join in on the #CI83 challenge. Here's the link to our Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group. Not a member? All you need to do is answer the three questions and we will accept you into the group. Hope to see you there. Happy Crafting Vicki Boucher
Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #72 and this stunning photo is our inspiration. The colours for the challenge are Bermuda Bay, Grapefruit Grove, Pretty Peacock and Calypso Coral. I just love the shimmer of the colours in the photo and this is why I’ve created a under the sea, Mermaid card. You can also add Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and metallics. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pumpkin Pie instead of Calypso Coral). This challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 9th March 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge, we would love to see your creation. For my card I’ve used the Magical Mermaid Stamp Set which is from the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue 2019 – 2020. I haven’t used this set for awhile now and using different colours brings it back to life. To create this card, I started with a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock, sponged Bermuda Bay & Pretty Peacock ink with a Sponge Dauber. Blending the two colours together, until I was happy with the look. I then added a few drops of Bermuda Bay Pigment Sprinkles onto a Clear Block, mix with water and using my Aqua Painter, I flicked droplets of ink onto the Shimmery White Cardstock. The next step was to add the Gold Embossed stamped images of seaweed over the deep sea panel using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set. On another piece of Shimmery White Cardstock for the mermaid image, I embossed her with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat set with the Heat Tool and water coloured the mermaid in using the four challenge colours. The skin of the mermaid is using the Ivory Stampin' Blend and Color Lifter. I wanted to create some magical sand to the card, so I’ve used a mix of Bermuda Bay Pigment Sprinkles with Bermuda Bay Ink, added to the Embossing Paste on a palette and mix with a Palette Knife. I layered the blue/green paste onto the Cardstock with the Palette Knife and before it would dry up, I sprinkled Stampin’ Glitter and coloured sequins to the Paste. I like the raised look for the mermaid and sentiment, so I used Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added extra sequins floating around the mermaid in the water. The card base is Bermuda Bay with a panel of Grapefruit Grove to highlight the orange tones throughout the card. I think this colour combination is just so stunning together. What do you think? Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use this latest colour challenge. Click here at Colour INKSpiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Welcome to the PDF download (via Google Drive) for my version of the inner part of the Colour Wheel in the 2024-2025 Stampin Up Catalogue. I'm so pleased to say that Stampin Up have given permission for me to share this. Instructions: Download the PDF from Google Drive and save to your computer Print off or copy the page from the catalogue that you will attach the inner circle to. This is page 132 of the catalogue. I would suggest that you download the digital version of the catalogue to print from however a photocopy may be fine to use too. Use Basic White Thick cardstock for this and the inner circle so that they are sturdy. Print the PDF at 120%, as this should fit the page in your catalogue correctly. You may want to play with this scaling a little to suit however this worked just fine for me on my HP printer. Cut out the circle and then use a scapel to cut away the black areas to create windows for you to see through. Use a split pin to join through the centre of both the larger and smaller circle. This is what your printed wheel should look like - you can keep it as an A4 like I have or have it cut into a circle like the one that was gifted to Demonstrators - the choice is all yours! The link is HERE I'm really hoping this actually works and that you will enjoy using this until such time as an official one is available for purchase. Please take the time to go back to my first YouTube video explaining colour theory to fully understand how to use this great tool. If you have any questions or need help with yours, please send me an email using the contact form on my blog. Whilst you are here, please leave some love on my blog and be sure to pop back again soon to see what else I've been up to. Happy Stamping, Rachael xx

Hi everyone, Welcome to the Colour Combo blog hop for August. Hopefully you have just arrived here after visiting Sigrid Joch. I must admit that some of these colour combinations are really challenging me, this month included! The combination of Rich Razzleberry (love it!), Mint Macaron (not keen!) and Soft Suede (one of my least used colours!) had me really scratching my head. In the end I decided to go with a stamp set (Positive Thoughts) with coordinating dies (Nature's Thoughts) to make my card. Not really my style of card at all but sometimes it does us good to stretch our comfort zone. And I do love all the elements in this bundle. I particularly love that rectangular matt with that pretty pierced pattern all the way round. I kept the use of Soft Sueded to a minimum - just can't make myself like that colour! My sentiment - "a little note" - is from the Butterfly Gala set. I like to have quite a few "just because" cards in my stash to send out to anyone who might be in need of cheering up, especially in the current times. Hope you like my card. There are loads of other amazing projects for you to see so please do keep hopping around. Next up is the lovely Gez Carpenter - you definitely do not want to miss her project! Evening all, I have been preparing all of the materials for my coffee and craft afternoon tomorrow. We are going to be using the Lotus Blossom stamp set which as you will have seen from one of my previous posts (Click here is you missed it) is a lovely 3 step stamp set which allows you to create gorgeous results in 3 easy steps. I have been having a play around with colour combinations and the order of stamping and I thought I would share my results with you. I have made the pictures large for this post so that hopefully you'll be able to see the colour combinations I have used. The first two photos have the same colour combinations but have been stamped in a different order. I found that to achieve the best results step 1 needed to be the first impression (ie straight from ink pad to paper), step 2 needed to be second impression (ie stamp it onto scrap paper first) and step 3 also needed to be second impression. The only exceptions to this are Pink Pirouette which is so light it needs to be first impression, Blackberry Bliss which can be a little dark even after stamping on scrap paper first and if you are only using one colour to create your flower make sure you stamp the step 3 onto scrap paper twice so that there is enough contrast between step two and three. In this first picture I have followed the 1-2-3 order that is on the stamp set. When looking for inspiration for lotus blossom cards several people have said to stamp them in reverse order (3-2-1) which is what I have done in this second picture. I personally prefer the 1-2-3 images as I find it a lot easier to line them up if the darkest image is already on the paper plus I'm not sure if you can see from the photos but those done in reverse order don't have as much definition and detail. Some of the colour combinations don't show the detail at all well in this order. This is just my personal opinion so experiment and see what works best for you. This final picture is just a couple of extra colour combinations I played with after completing the charts. I saw a card on Stampin' Connection where the demo had used black ink, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise for a three colour flower, I really liked this colour combination and decided to give it a go with purples as well. I think it turned out well and have decided to show this one tomorrow afternoon. Let me know what your favourite colour combination is, are there any you use that aren't on my sheets? Hello crafty friends! Today Patricia is bringing you the first double challenge of the year! When there is a fifth Tuesday in a month, we will have a double challenge, where we pair some favorite retired Stampin' Up colors with one of our previous CC&S sketches. You must use the given color combination with the given sketch. These challenges will last only one week. Here's what we have for you this time: You must use all of the stated challenge colors. You may also use neutral colors; however, the challenge colors should be the most noticeable ones featured on your card. We use Stampin' Up color names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other companies' products as long as you match the challenge colors as closely as possible. Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch when creating your card. Our design team has created the following cards to inspire you: Patricia Cécile ~ taking a break ~ Jeanne Joanne Lucy Michal Nancy Rachel Shannon Sue Valérie ~ taking a break ~ YoonYoung Guest Designer - Tammy Our challenge requirements are listed in the Challenge Rules tab. Please read them carefully before linking your card. Happy crafting! Challenge End Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time Monday, February 6, 2023 Please link your card below. We look forward to seeing what you create! Click here to enter
