Hi there! Happy Sunday! So nice of you to stop by and visit! Here is a gift set I made last night using the Apothecary Art Stampin' Up! stamp set. Take care and have a wonderful Sunday ... stamping, lol! Hugs, Laura just testing ....
Every day this 'n that by Diana Gibbs, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
Today I thought I'd share one of the cards we made at my event last Sunday. I wanted everyone to have cards for their parents for Mother's and Father's Day, so we made those along with a teacher appreciation card. This is the card for the moms. I also had a birthday option because several of my ladies have lost their moms already. :( We used the retiring Apothecary Art set and colored it with stamp pads and blender pens. They really enjoyed that. I'll be sending my sample off to my mom who is for sure the best mother ever. :) Laila got to plant her own little pot of flowers yesterday. We had some flower seeds and got her some dirt and a pot. I hope they will grow! She likes to dig in it and keeps wanting to water them, so we'll see. lol
Now that February 14 is past, many people think that heart shapes have less use on cards. Me? I think nothing could be further from the truth! Check out this lovely card. This is the kind of card you send to a friend (or a sister, daughter or mother) just to say "Hi". And best of all, it's another quick and easy card! The new Adorning Accents embossing folder made the strip of embossed hearts on the Whisper White card. And the "Hello" was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink using the Elementary Elegance stamp set (FREE during Sale-A-Bration) Whisper White and Pretty In Pink hearts were cut using the Big Shot and the new Hearts Framelits, and these were embossed with either the Polka Dots or Elegant Lines embossing folders. The "hello" from the Tiny Tags set was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out using the Jewelry Tag Punch. A silver brad to set these into the heart, and everything was pieced together using dimensionals. Of course the crowning glory to this card is the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details that was selectively applied onto some of the embossed areas of the white heart. Glitz and shine without stray glitter all over the place. And there you have it. A friendship heart for someone you love. Even when Valentine's Day is over! Happy Leap Day. God Bless, ~Cynthia <><
How could I start the new year without sharing from "That Michelle" during the first week? I could not! So, here is a card "That Michelle" made at our last demonstrator play date. I love all the great things "That Michelle" creates, but this one is definitely a favorite of mine. She used the Apothecary Art stamp set, along with the Framelits Die Labels Collection for this card. She added some pearl jewels to adorn her lovely creation and some Neutrals Pattern Designer Series Paper. I think this is a very classy sympathy card! Thanks for sharing, "That Michelle". Today is the first day to place your order from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog, and it is packed full of great products you won't be able to wait to use for your own papercrafting fun! CHECK OUT THE OCCASIONS MINI HERE, AND PLACE YOUR ORDER TOO!
Have you ever made a telescoping card? They have never been easier than with coordinating stamp sets and framelits. While it is easy when they are coordinating they do not have to match to do this technique. Do the weeks go as fast for you as for me? So much to share and ... Hi Guys! Today I've got a card to share with you that I've created to enter in Craft Project Central's Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge, simply follow the link to find out more about this challenge. I have an Aunt whose birthday is next month and think this will be the perfect card to give to her. If you check out the original sketch here, you'll see I've changed it up a little by turning it on to it's side. Other than that I've stayed pretty close to the sketch. I'm happy with how it turned out. I've used the Hardwood Background Stamp, Apothecary Art Stamp Set, Whisper White A4 Card Stock, Crisp Cantaloupe A4 Cad Stock, Baked Brown Sugar Classic Stampin' Pad, Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Labels Collection Framelits, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Blender Pen and Adhesives. Now I'm off to create some scrapbook layouts to share with you all tomorrow to get into the spirit of International Scrapbooking Day. Well one of them anyway. After stumbling across something on line stating tomorrow was ISD I "googled" International Scrapbooking Day 2014 and found two different dates, tomorrow the 4th of March and also the 3rd of May. I've participated in ISD before in May, so feel that is the more legit date, but I've decided I'm just going to celebrate it twice this year. Because honestly, is one day enough to recognise our scrapbooking efforts and endeavours? I don't think so. So join me tomorrow and again in May and celebrate International Scrapbooking Day twice! Happy crafting everyone! Cheers Ange
My stamp club group will be meeting on Tuesday night. Today's card will be one of our projects. The other 2 projects will remain a surprise until Tuesday night. I love the way the stamps in this set coordinate with the Labels Collection framelits. I am by far not the world's best at coloring stamp images but these images make it easy. Apothecary Arts is available in the new Occasions catalog. Let me know if you need a copy! Stamping Vogue Tips: Use a square punch to easily cut flag ends in the sentiment layer and border. The Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder adds to the elegant look. It's my favorite embossing folder. Basic Pearls include a variety of sizes and make it easy to highlight the flowers in the stamp image. Click here to order Stampin' Up! day or night! Hello! I have been very busy today making projects and cards ready for my All Day Class which is being held on the 27th May, please book ...
Happy Thursday everyone! It's another week at Create with Connie & Mary. Each week I tell myself that I will try to post to my blog some day other than Sundays and Thursdays but....I'm just not finding the time. At least I'm keeping up with the design teams, right?! This week, Connie & Mary have a fun sketch for us: I started playing around with the different elements of the sketch and ended up with something totally different than what I had in mind....let's just say that the sketch was an "inspiration"... It's actually a gate-fold card with the "gate" off-center a little bit. What do you think? An abstract take on the sketch but the elements of it are still there. My base is a 4.25" x 11" piece of Soft Suede, scored at 3.5" and 9". Once folded, it forms a regular A2 sized card. Onto the gate doors, I layered some Calypso Coral paper from the Everyday Enchantment DSP and some Lucky Limeade patterned paper. The focal image is the largest label from Apothecary Art which I colored with Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade ink and a Blender Pen. I thought the background paper needed a little something, so I stamped the edge of the single stamp, Elizabeth in Soft Suede to frame the center image. I also used Elizabeth on the inside in Soft Suede. I intended to color in just a few parts of the stamp but once I started, I couldn't stop! I like the way it brings in the Lucky Limeade. I would love to know what you think of today's card. A bit different in style from my usual but once the inspiration started, I had to run with it! I hope you'll be inspired to play along with me and the rest of the amazing design team at Create with Connie & Mary this week. Be sure to link up before Wednesday, March 28th at Noon (EST). Thanks for stopping by today! Supplies Stamps: Apothecary Art; Elizabeth; Loving Thoughts Ink: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral CS; Everyday Enchantment DSP; In Color Designer Patterns Xtras: Labels Framelits; Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon; Basic Pearls; Scallop Ribbon Border Punch; 1 1/4" Square Punch; Blender Pens

February's Class to Go features the beautiful Apothecary Art stamp set. If you're stamping style includes either vintage or floral you'll love it. I find this set to be one of those stamp sets that creates quick and easy cards without much thought or planning. Because it already has a pretty, curved label look it is simply beautiful on it's own without adding much more to it. Here are 3 of the 5 cards you'll receive in your cards kit...

While we can find inspiration in almost any form (layouts, themes, emotions or sentiments), color challenges are great ways to find inspiration for a project. Sometimes, though, a color challenge is exactly that - a challenge. Such is the case with this week's Pals Paper Arts color challenge. This week the PPA Color Challenge
Super fun flip card designed using the Stampin Up Apothecary Art stamp set and Label Collection Framelits.
I've been playing around with my Labels Collection Framelits since they arrived in the mail a couple weeks ago. I've cut them out and then run them through an embossing folder. I've painted them with acrylic paints, embossed them and chipped away at the acrylic paint with a sanding block.

Hello Peeps !!! Happy Monday !!! Hope everyone's weekend was wonderful. I have been busy working on some swaps and getting ready for my class this coming Wednesday. I have quite a bit more on my plate today but it's time to just do a quick post and drink a cup of coffee. This stamp image is from a new set called From My Heart on pg. 139 of the new catty. I used the Label framelit, mounted it on the new Apothecary Accents framelit. I finished it off with the Fancy Fold EF background and a ruffled ribbon bow. Hope you like it. RECIPE: Stamps: From My Heart Paper: Pool Party, Whisper White, Early Espresso, In Color DSP Ink: Early Espresso, Pool Party Accessories: ruffled ribbon, mini brad Tools: Big Shot, Fancy Fold EF, Apothecary Accents framelit, Labels framelit, Itty Bitty Shape punch pack, dimensionals Thanks for stopping by. Well, the Dress Up Framelit series will continue! I can't stop creating mini designer dresses. This project uses the Twitterpated DSP for the dress, a different pattern for the background layer and Riding Hood Red card stock for the jacket. To make the jacket, cut 2 pieces/copies of the dress, in a color that coordinates with the base. The picture below shows how I positioned the Apothecary Art Framelit to produce the the jacket front. "Trim" 2 jacket fronts with the Apothecary Art framelit positioned as shown (reverse framelit position for the right jacket side). Glue them together and use the Adorning Accents Border Edgelit to trim the bottom. Adhere the jacket to the dress, accent with Rhinestone buttons and your dress is complete. The sentiment is from Ciao Baby, punched out with the SAB Petite Curly Label Punch. the Marina Mist card base was embossed with the Framed Tulips Folder and the card was assembled. I hope that you enjoy!
Hello Peeps !!! Happy Friday !!! Here is another stamp set that I love from the Occasions Mini even if half of the time I have a hard time saying it. It is called Apothecary Art and it goes with the Framelits Label Collections. How cool is that ? I stamped my image and colored it and I ran it into my Big Shot using the diecut. I used the same cut on the So Saffron cardstock and I used it to layer behind to create just a bit of shadowing in the back. Hope you like it. RECIPE: Stamps: Apothecary Art Paper: So Saffron, Chooclate Chip, Whisper White, DSP Ink: Basic Black, Markers Accessories: satin ribbon. pearls Tools: Big Shot, Framelits Labels Collections, dimensionals Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day stampin' Chat
Stampin' Up! Masculine Card The Stampin' Up! Hmmm, could this be another Card Class (stamp a stack) sneak peak? Supplies used are the Sale A Bration Everyday Enchantment designer series paper (FREE with a $50 order), the Apothecary Art stamp set, and the Loving Thoughts stamp set, both from the Occasions Mini catalog. I finished it off with the Crumb Cake seam binding and the card base is Very Vanilla.

I had this colored image lying around for a few weeks and thought I'd better put it to use before it got all mangled on my desk. I copied the technique shown by Amy Celona who does gorgeous work. This was my first attempt so I stuck to her colors, etc so I could compare at the end. It's not as good as Amy's but I'm happy with it and will use this technique again. I decided to use the Freshly Made Sketch challenge and the SUO Challenge to use something from the soon-to-end Occasions Mini. On to the card. I decided to keep a monochromatic look and in keeping with the look, went with a sympathy sentiment. Here's the sketch I worked with: Products used (all Stampin' Up!) Stamps: Apothecary Art; Warmest Regards (retired) Cardstock: Not Quite Navy; Whisper White; Regals DSP Ink: Black Stazon; Basic Black Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Blender Pen; White Taffeta ribbon (dyed with Not Quite Navy ink); Pearls Cheers Karren
