Hi Friends! Well, we had so much fun on Monday night with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks! I scheduled a live facebook demonstration using the masks and different colour combinations. Viewers were asked for combination suggestions, and they did not disappoint! Here's the first colour combination I shared ...Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist. Then we went on to create these combinations - they are not used on a card yet, that's my next task to do. This one was Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Copper Clay. Then I shared how to add gold embossing powder using the Wink of Stella Clear Brush Then we created a "Christmas" one using Poppy Parade, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Blackberry Bliss. Then I cut them out, and now they are ready for a card! Click on the picture below to watch the video tutorial on my YouTube channel. This blog is a showcase of the cards, scrapbook pages, and paper crafts I have made using my favorite Stampin' Up! products.
Here's a clean and simple fall card for three challenges. First, I've used the sketch at the CAS Colours & Sketches#521 here. Second, the colors are for the Color Throwdown#762 here. The colors to use are mossy green, rust, kraft and cream. I went with Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. Finally, these challenges paired well with the Addicted to CAS#247 here. The code word is "Mask" and I've used the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks for the leaves. Rustic Crate and Sketched Plaid are the stamp sets. Here's my recipe: Stamps: Sketched Plaid and Rustic Crate Papers: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze Inks: Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze Accessories: Stitched Shapes dies, Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, Blending Brushes, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Stampin dimensionals Product List Rustic Crate Photopolymer Stamp Set (English) [162265] $20.00 Sketched Plaid Cling Stamp Set [161424] $20.00 Very Vanilla 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [101650] $10.50 Crumb Cake 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [120953] $10.00 Cajun Craze 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [119684] $10.00 Mossy Meadow 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [133676] $10.00 Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad [147116] $9.00 Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad [147085] $9.00 Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad [147111] $9.00 Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks [162331] $10.50 Blending Brushes [153611] $13.00 Stylish Shapes Dies [159183] $30.00 Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins [161627] $7.50 Stampin' Dimensionals [104430] $4.25 Add All to Cart
Crushed Curry with Abundant Beauty Fancy Fold Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a rich deep yellow called Crushed Curry. Crushed Curry is one of the Regals Colour Family and is a warm yellow. This colour would be lovely when used for flowers, sunshine or chickens, and is wonderful for autumn. Crushed Curry is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Watercolor Pencils; Regals Designer Series Paper as well as a range of DSPs including Beary Christmas, Merry Bold & Bright, Stargazing, Delightfully Eclectic, Masterfully Made, Inked Botanicals, Fresh as a Daisy DSPs plus All About Autumn Speciality DSP and Beary Christmas Memories & More cards; as well as The Best Remedy and Confetti Birthday card kits. Crushed Curry card-stock, ink and Stampin’ Write Marker have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Crushed Curry bits and pieces. I have a wonderful daisy bush in my front yard and it has inspired today’s card. It is a deep Crushed Curry style yellow. The photo above shows one of the daisies. Also, I hadn’t previously used my Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks so created blended Crushed Curry daisies. As I was designing the card I decided to use one of the Deckled Circle dies. This led me to creating a simple fancy fold. The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks were used with Blending Brushes and a number of inks, including Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and a touch of Garden Green Classic Stampin’ inks. I had so much fun blending with these masks. There is one mask each for the petals, the flower centres, flower centre details and the leaves. They are easy to position as each the mask has a notch that is to be placed in the same spot. As you can see, each flower and leaf were fussy cut. The inner layer was also coloured with Blending Brushes and Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie inks. Both the inner piece and the card front background were splattered with Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie Stampin Write Markers. Extra leaves were cut from Basic White card-stock using a couple of Textured Floral dies. They were lightly coloured with Crumb Cake ink and a Blending Brush. The card front and the Crushed Curry card base were positioned and die cut with one of the larger Deckled Circle dies. The Basic White card front was then dry embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. It only arrived today and I love it. The flowers, leaves and die cut leaves were arranged and adhered in place with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals and Glue Dots. A bow was tied with delightful Silver & White Sheer ribbon from the new Mini Catalogue and was tucked under the large daisy. Flowers and leaves were also positioned on the underneath layer, ensuring only little details could be seen from the front. A sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was white heat embossed onto Crushed Curry card-stock and fussy cut into 4 pieces. It was positioned with Mini Dimensionals so it could be seen from the front and when the first flap was opened. Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were scattered. I love these embellishments so much - subtle, versatile and shimmery. The Basic White card-stock inside panel for writing one’s personal message was decorated with a couple of die cut leaves and a little Crushed Curry flag. A Basic White C6 envelope was dry embossed on the flap with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. Thank you so so much for dropping by to check out my Crushed Curry card. I so appreciate it. There is more Crushed Curry creativity so continue with the blog hop. Just click the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of the lovely Kate Morgan. I am looking forward to checking out Kate’s creation(s). I do love seeing everyones' projects - there is always so much inspiration. I do hope to see you next week when we will be featuring another yellow - Daffodil Delight as we continue the weekly 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop series. Hello, hello, hello! Happy Friday! Welcome and thank you for joining me on my blog today. I've just had a very well deserved and much needed Christmas Break with my family and some time away camping in our caravan. Lots of fun in the sun, stand up paddle boarding, swimming in the lake, swimming at the beach, boating, knee-boarding, 4WD, reading a few books and lots of all-round summer fun! Was so good to be away in the great outdoors of Australia. Gosh I love summer! Back to reality now. Over at Just Add Ink, to kick off the first challenge for the year we are commencing 2024 with a blog hop to go with the new challenge. Our theme for this hop and the challenge is Just Add In #685 | Just Add Flowers. This is such a fabulous theme to kick start the Just Add Ink year! Every one loves flowers, well nearly everyone. I'm a bit of a sucker for a floral stamp and the new Enduring Beauty Bundle with coordinating masks in the Stampin' Up! 2024 Jan - April Mini Catalogue caught my attention at first glance. Super pretty right? I've used the stamp and masks on Crumb Cake cardstock today for a different look. I do love colouring images on Crumb Cake cardstock as I love how the colours of the ink look different as opposed to using Basic White cardstock. All three cards that I've made for you today are all the same except for the colour combinations to colour the flowers. What's your favourite? I do love them all, of course, but the purple one is really standing out to me as my favourite. Colours used Flowers - Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Colours used Flowers - Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Colours Used Flowers - Fresh Fresia and Highland Heather Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow To create the cards I stamped the floral image on with Versamark ink and then used Black embossing powder for the image outline. Then over the floral image I layered over the Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks to layer on the colour using Blending Brushes. Each mask has detailed floral designs that add depth and colour to your paper crafting projects. Use one mask alone to add a subtle accent. Or you can layer them to create a rich floral image of your own design. The masks definitely make colouring an image so quick and easy thats for sure. I used three colours on the 'pink' card only due to the fact that I thought the Bubble Bath was too light against the Berry Burst so I went in again over the Bubble Bath with Flirty Flamingo to achieve a better contrast. All cards were finished off with a drawn border, Crumb Cake Splatters, Linen Thread, a Happy Birthday sentiment and some embellishments. What colours do you think would work together when using the Enduring Beauty masks? Next up on the blog hop is fabulous Nikki Spencer with her amazing creation. Make sure you click your way around to everyone on the hop as there are lots of gorgeous creations and lots of different takes on our 'Just Add Flowers' theme 1.Kerry Parkinson 2. Kim Badelt 3.
