When a friend needed a quick card for a bridal shower, I asked her what kind of card she wanted. She flipped through the Annual Catalog and pointed right at the card at the top of page 105 –…
The weather has been lovely in Atlanta - there's only a tinge of heat in the afternoon air, and the mornings and evenings have been crisp and cool. While some leaves are starting to fall, they haven't haven't yet started changing colors. That doesn't mean I can't start dreaming, though.

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! This months theme is all about some of the new products that were available on a super special Sneak Peek just for demonstrators. All the new products go live on June 2nd, so be sure to hop over to my online store so you can see all the amazing new items - this is the best catalogue I've seen in my 5 years with SU. I have created a few cards today using the Layered Letters Alphabet Photopolymer stamp set. It has so many uses too. I love how with the clear photopolymer sets you can see what you're inking and stamping - below you'll see a cool tip from me. I've also joined the latest craze and made a carry bag for my cards - which is in the shape of a handbag! Its really easy - I have adjusted the measurements for Australian C6 cards - I saw the idea from Linda Bauwin - really cool!! Here are my creations... For more info on this card - click here Love this bag!! To make this size bag you will need half a sheet of dsp (6x12") x3 - 3/4 x 12" carstock (rims) x2 - 3/4 x 10" carstock (handles) x1 - 2 1/2 x 5 1/4"" carstock (base, scored at 1/2" around to make a base) Carolina's Tip's and Techniques I used some of the other letters and characters in the alphabet set to create the extra little pieces on my Hungry Caterpillar - the letter 'V' for the antennae, the exclamation dot '!' for the nose, and the letter 'I' for the legs - here's how... Clear view of what I'm inking makes making other shapes easy! Please leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think Up next we have Sue Wdowik, hop on over to see her beautiful creations. It's happened! I've already picked a favorite stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s 2015-2016 Annual Catalog. I know, I know - I need to calm down and take a breath. Yes, there are plenty of other incredible stamp sets in the upcoming catalog that I couldn't select for my Demonstrator Pre-order,
Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog for February. This month we are excited to be CASE'ing Patty Bennett but even better we get to hop along with PATTY BENNETT herself! Woo Hoo! We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. The full blog lineup below will help you move along to see all the projects. This is a blog hop you will not want to miss out on! My project inspiration came from Patty's FAMOUS Watercolor Wings Card Collection & Pinterest. Today I have created a Butterfly Bouquet! I know Patty loves Butterflies. I was inspired by the colour combinations that Patty used above. You could use any combination of colours to create your own unique butterflies. I have attached the butterflies to Floral Wire (Spotlight) adhering them with Dimensionals in between each layer. I then bent the wires around to make it look like the butteflies are flying around. I added a touch of grass with strips of green cardstock. How many butterflies do you think I cut out? Read on for answer. Colour Combinations courtesy of Patty Bennett: Daffodil Delight/Tangerine Tango/Memento Black Wisteria Wonder (stamped off)/Wisteria Wonder/Elegant Eggplant Blushing Bride/Calypso Coral/Watermelon Wonder Pool Party/Bermuda Bay/Island Indigo Click to shop online Thanks for stopping by, if you guessed that I cut out 75 butterflies then you were correct! Thank you for all your wonderful encouraging comments! There are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Please check the line up list to see who is up next!
I saw this darling "Pop Open" box and just had to try it and then use it in my clubs this month as a demonstration. It looks complicated, but is SO simple to make. I ended up using a few retiring products, but you can certainly use what you have on hand, or order some of the BRAND NEW PRODUCTS from the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog. Isn't this just the cutest box? And you just pop open the sides and it holds a LOT I ended up putting in some of the Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts we found in...
Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for Febraury 2016, we have the great pleasure to have Patty Bennett as special guest. This month our theme is "Inspired by Patty", our task - to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Patty's projects. I absolutely adore the Flowering Fields stamp set, so the project below was my call to CASE: I love how Patty has combined stamping and Designer Series paper, separating the elements with the ribbon or washi tape. Here is my Patty inspired project: My project features 2 of the amazing Sale-a-Bration products, Flowering Fields Stamp set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I used Basic Black Archival to stamp the images and Aqua Painters to colour - I had a burst of inspiration and created a 2nd card! Can you see the Wink of Stella on the water colouring? It has an amazing shimmer in real life, but is a tad difficult to photograph! The sentiments are from the One Big Meaning set available in the Annual Catalogue. I would love it if you could pin my cards! Thank you so much to Patty Bennett for your time and inspiration. So make sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible ideas, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments. Isn't it just special when a little person turns 5? It's a big deal! They're ready to start school, they no longer are the baby or toddler. It's uncanny that the boy stamp in 'Skating By' stands with his hand on his hip just like my nephew Aden does! That's why this was the perfect card for him. I've paired this annual catalogue stamp set with a new occasions bundle 'Number of Years & Large Numbers Dies' The bundles are great value with the 15% discount! I embossed the background for some textured interest with my new 'confetti' folder and shaded it slightly with some mint ink. I love how the little kids hand extends out, perfect for holding the framelit cut number 5. Be inspired with this colour combination, feel free to share and pin it! Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all your awesome and friendly comments! Be sure to check out the rest of the AMAZING projects from the Crazy Crafters - the BEST team in the South Pacific!

On my million dollar achiever's trip to the Stampin' UP! home office in Riverton, UT, I got to be a Concept artist for a few moments… well, kind of… they asked me to look over a short list of stamp sets and pick out a set or 2 and make a card they could […]
Well, we are just over a month in to the new catalog, which has given us a chance to whip up some great projects with the new goodies to inspire you! Me and some of stampin friends at Stampin' Addicts have come together to put on this hop and can't wait to share our creations. There is a chat thread set up if you want to share some thoughts over on StampinAddicts.com. If you are following along in order, then you just came from Carmen's blog where she featured Watercolor Wings. Fantastic, right?! The set I chose to feature just screams summer to me! Market Fresh is full of lush produce, and some punny sayings ;) Let's start with a couple of lovely wine bottle tags. Both images are stamped on Very Vanilla with a waterproof ink, such as Stazon, and then colored with a blender pen. For the one on the left, I also created a mask for the image, then using the new masks from the catalog, sponged the background of the entire tag. I was on a roll making tags, so here are a few more. These are made out of watercolor paper and colored with an Aqua-painter. More sponged backgrounds with the new stencil pack. You will also notice that the sentiment on the strawberry image is not the one on the stamp. Lots of people have commented on the possible interpretations of "Just Ripe for You", so I decided to carefully cut that part of the stamp out with my Snips to start the hole, and my rubber scissor to finish the job. And guess what? There are loads of sentiments that fit in the banner! Anything from And Many More...and Teeny Tiny Wishes, one from Watercolor Wings, several from Sprinkles of Life, and so many more! Then, since this set is so Farmers Market, I had to: Make a berry basket and stamp some grapes on it. Use the Farmers Market DSP! This little basket is full of cute little 3"x4" cards with matching envelopes. You could fill it with any kind of goodies, but since I was creating for a hop, why not more cards?! Here are the first three of the six cards I made. The images are all on watercolor paper, colored with Aqua-painters and ink squeezed off ink pads, then fussy cut. And here are the last of the cards I made. I love to watercolor, so this was such a fun set for me to play with! And you can see, these make adorable cards, especially when paired with the coordinating DSP! That's all I have this time. Head on over to Holly's blog where she will show her stuff with Garden in Bloom! Welcome to my blog and to the first 'Creation Station Blog Hop' for 2016. This month we are showcasing our 'Favourite Products' in the NEW Occasions Catalogue which you can purchase from January 5th, 2016!!! That's only 1 more sleep for those of us in the South Pacific. Yay!!! And... it is Sale-A-Bration time too. Our little guy is turning 6 tomorrow!!! So, with a Birthday Party looming I created some invitations, party loot bags, a cake banner and of course a Birthday card. Here are the Invites... I have loved the 'Beautiful Ride' stampset ever since I first saw it at On Stage in Melbourne. How adorable is the car??? Finnlay's Birthday party will be at the River where we go Stand Up Paddle Boarding, and the surfboard on top of the car is a perfect little accessory for the Invitations. The balloons have been punched using the Party Wishes Punch Pack, and tied using the Baker's Twine Combo Pack; Mint Macaron & Basic Black. (I split the Mint Macaron from the Basic Black entwined twine, and pulled apart single strings.) Inside... The Party Loot bags were made using the Gift Bag Punch Board. I decorated the Whisper White cardstock with the balloon and string stamps. The 'Thankyou' is stamped onto Vellum then adhered using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. All tied up with two-tone Mint Macaron & Basic Black Baker's Twine. The Birthday Cake Banner - this was made using the Banner Punch, the gorgeous 'It's My Party' Designer Series Paper Stack and Baker's Twine. This is such an easy project to make and cute detail for the Sandcastle Birthday cake. (We can imagine a Sandcastle cake for now - in the mean time a mini bucket of sand will suffice until the day of the party.) Lastly, Finnlay's Birthday card... I have used the dog stamp, because Finnlay LOVES dogs. This little dog is having a great time in the back seat on a little Birthday adventure. I have stamped the 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' from the 'Party Wishes' stampset and wait for it... it comes as a BUNDLE with the 'Party Punch Pack' saving you 15%. Bargain!!! *Did you see the 'I' on the BIRTHDAY? A Bermuda Bay candle punched using the Candle punch... too much cuteness with these punches. Inside... Happy Birthday to our spirited, funny and lovely little man. Thankyou for taking the time to read my Blog post. I hope to have inspired you with my creations?, and don't forget to watch out for the NEW 'Occasions Catalogue' and the gorgeous new products within. This is one Catalogue that you will fall in love with.
