Time spent with my new granddaughter and her parents was really precious! Time flies as it's already been two weeks since our visit. The Treasures of Life stamp set was designed by one of our Million Dollar producers and celebrates the benefits of grandparenthood. The card is accented with the Many Hearts Dies and Stitched So Sweetly Dies. To demonstrate their versatility, I have featured both in the last several posts. For the first time.... At the Graphic 45 Winter 2012 CHA Booth: #2839... Graphic 45 is sponsoring Design Team Daily Demos! The G45 Design Team will be teaching techniques and tutorials. Here's the schedule! Sunday, January 29th: Sherry Cheever at 11AM Monday, January 30th: Jane Tregenza at 11AM and Laura Denison at 4PM Tuesday, January 31st: Gloria Stengel at 11AM Wednesday, February 1st: Nancy Wethington at 11AM I have been teasing you for the last week with my demo...here it is, unveiled! I will be demonstrating techniques using the Clearsnap Colorbox Graphic 45 Decades Antiquing Inks and the Hanmpton Art Graphic 45 Cling Stamps! Graphic 45 has an exclusive set of six dye-based inks, from Clearsnap! Here is a color chart I made up! (Click on the photo for a larger view.) During my demonstration I will show stamping, masking, distressing, and more! Here are a few samples. This 6x6 card contains about eight different ink and stamp techniques! And uses the NEW Tropical Travelogue papers and stamps! This card not only makes use of the fantastic Graphic 45 Trims Staples, but also the NEW Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers and stamps! And this lovely...the NEW Little Darlings stamps! One of the best selling-points of the Graphic 45 inks and stamps is that...they work PERFECTLY with Copic Markers (and other alcohol-based markers)! When Graphic 45 first asked me what I thought of them coming out with a line of inks, my immediate response was: they need to be compatible with Copic Markers! I've created "Gloria's 4-Seasons of Coloring" to show you how the stamped images can work with your favorite Copic Markers colors! I will be demonstrating coloring with Copics during my demonstration. If you did not think Copics would work well with vintage-style stamps, here is your chance to see that they CAN! Spring: Using An ABC Primer papers and stamps. Summer: Using Little Darlings paper and An ABC Primer stamps. I wanted to show you how the Graphic 45 collections can work together! Fall: Using A Proper Gentleman and The Magic of OZ papers and The Magic of Oz stamps. If there has been a Graphic 45 Collection that you have looked at and said, "Eh, not for me." I ask you to take another look at how you can re-combine these collections to give them a fresh, new look! Winter: Using Communique papers and Christmas Emporium (the children) and Little Darlings (the sentiment) stamps! Yes, you can use the Christmas stamps for something other than Christmas! I combined the stamp sets to create a Valentine's Day card! If you are not able to join the fun at CHA, keep watch on both the Graphic 45 Blog and my blog as I am sure there will be some project sheets available after the show! {wink} And speaking of Tutorials....look up at the tabs at the top of my blog! I now have a TUTORIAL tab! It's not up-to-date yet, but I am working on it!

I have shared this card with you before, but I just found it in my stash the other day and was thinking how much I like it...and that Easter is just around the corner... I love vintage images, and this one of the fairy and the little chick...adorable! It reminds me of a simple time, when receiving a letter or a greeting card had such deep meaning for people. In our fast paced world, with email and cell phones, we are forgetting the art of actually writing letters and sending cards. Even me. I make thousands of cards every year, but I mail out only a handful. How sad is that?! I do donate cards and give them away for others to use. I even sell a few. But I have boxes of them sitting around here. I need to mail them! My challenge to all of you (and to me) is to mail an actual letter, note, postcard, or greeting card to someone during the month of March. Flowers and butterflies are such a symbol of hope for me. When I see a new bud on a tree or bush, when I see a butterfly, I am reminded of the hope I have in Jesus Christ. We have "hatched" butterflies in our homeschool a few times. Last spring we had a chance to see a Painted Lady come out of the chrysalis! It was such a miracle of God's perfect design. I wish you the Joy of the Lord this spring.
