Hi and welcome to my stop on the Spellbinders March Clubs Blog Hop! If you're a new visitor to my blog, I'm Annie and I love all things paper - handmade cards, gifts, and home décor. You should have arrived here from Michelle's blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning. Don't forget to leave comments all along the way for a chance to win either a $25 or $50 store credit for Spellbinders products! Today I wanted to share another fun take on the March 2020 Small Die of the Month Kit. Previously, I shared a carrot shaker card made with the kit, but after giving the dies another look, I thought the carrot shape made a great little egg too (with some help from a spray of spring foliage). Add a touch of foiling, and you have a pretty springtime or Easter greeting card! FOILED POLKA DOT BACKGROUND Trim a piece of Shimmery Lavender Cardstock to 3.875 x 5.125. Warm up the Scattered Dot Pattern Glimmer Foil Plate on your Glimmer Hot Foil System. Add Prism Hot Foil and the Lavender Cardstock on top and run through your diecutting machine. FOILED SENTIMENT Apply Fuchsia Flower Hot Foil to white cardstock using the greetings sentiment from the Yana's Sentiments Hot Foil Plate Set and your Glimmer Hot Foil System. Die cut the foiled sentiment out using the coordinating die and then die cut three more blank sentiment shapes out of the same white cardstock. Stack the sentiment shapes and adhere together using liquid glue. DIE CUT FOCAL IMAGE Die cut the carrot shape out of Shimmery White Cardstock and reserve only the center portion to form the egg background for your bunny. Die cut the leafy stems and small flowers out of Shimmery Mint, Pink, and Blue cardstock. Shape the flowers a bit using a ball stylus. Assemble the standing bunny with Pebble, pink, and black cardstock. CARD ASSEMBLY Adhere the foiled background to a piece of Purple Mist Satin Cardstock measuring 4 x 5.25 with tape runner, and then pop the matted panel up on top of a top-folding A2-sized white card base using foam adhesive. Adhere the egg and bunny to the card front with foam adhesive and the sentiment to the lower right corner with liquid glue. Arrange the leafy stems and flowers at the base of the egg in a configuration that covers and rounds the bottom of the shape a bit. Adhere everything down with strong liquid glue. I hope you enjoyed this fun take on the March 2020 Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Kit. Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration using the March Club Kits and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products! Hello there crafty peeps, I'm stopping by today to share some projects with the lovely Spellbinders March 2020 Small and Large Die kits! Are you guys ready for Easter?! This month's kits are all about Easter! I'll be honest, Easter is not a big thing for us, we probably would not even celebrate it if we didn't have a child. Cos presents, of course haha! But I have several friends for whom Easter is a bigger event than Christmas, so...I was happy to work on Easter projects for a change, I rarely ever do otherwise! As a reminder, Spellbinders have several monthly kits, which are really great! You can subscribe to: Small Die of the Month Large Die of the Month Card Kit of the Month Stamp of the Month Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month You can find all necessary information about these kits here. I'll start with the Large Die kit. This month you can create little Easter baskets with your dies! Aren't they adorable? I was actually going to create cards with them, but then I saw the baskets are not too small and would be great for Easter candy and such so I changed my mind. Can you believe I only realized when I was editing the photos that I did not fill the baskets hahhaha. So now you'll just have to imagine the candy in there, sorrrry :D. By the way, the patterned papers I used are from Paige Evans' new Bloom Street collection! I thought the lovely pastel colors work great for Easter. What you can't see in these pictures, the bunnies actually have full bodies so you can totally use them without the basket too! The baskets are very simple to put together but you get a pictorial with your dies every month, so no need to worry. These die sets often have a million small pieces and it can get overwhelming at first. This one was pretty straightforward though. There's some leaves and flowers too, to decorate your baskets with! The Small Die kit is also Easter themed. There's a big carrot die with leaves and flowers as well as two different bunnies. Also included the "What's up?" sentiment die. For these cards I chose some papers from Alexandra Renke. I think they go well with the theme. These cards required quite a lot of die cutting (especially the little flowers and foliage...) but I'm always watching some show while I'm crafting so I don't mind :). So what do you think about this month's die kits? Are you excited to get your hands on them?! If you have any questions at all, just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you! I hope I could inspire you in some way with these projects. Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting! X
Hello Friends, how are you all holding up? Goodness, what a rollercoaster these weeks have been. Thankfully, it seems like everyone in this wonderful community is stepping up with heaps of creative ideas while hunkering down, and I am personally SO grateful. It's been nice to catch up on all the gorgeous art and feel so inspired in these times. If you are just joining in, today's post is part of the Spellbinders Club Kits hop happening right now, and it's all about showcasing the beautiful Club kits that are available this month. You can find all of them here. I have used my darling Small Die of the Month kit once again, and created a set of colorful Spring projects. I'm sharing all the hop details below, including some fabulous giveaways! For today's card and treat baggie, I wanted to use the dies in the kit a little differently. I noticed as soon as I got the kit that the cute carrot shape could be flipped upside down and used as an egg. How cool is that?! Giving this kit even more points for versatility - as if there weren't enough already :) You can read my love for this kit, and see the projects I've already created with it here. To make my card and baggie, I die-cut the carrot/egg shape in a few cardstock colors and patterns, and assembled them. You can see on the baggie, I also used the outline cut, and on the card, I decorated up one of the eggs with the tiny flowers that are a part of the set. I used some stamps to add a border around the card, and then finished building my scene with the bunnies, leafy bits and florals. I added some buttons and tulle to finish things off, and tucked in the cutest little scented bon-bon markers (from Wal-Mart), going to a special little girl, who loves to color. Now for all the hop details :) Spellbinders is giving away a $50 gift card to five lucky readers! To enter, simply comment on the Spellbinders blog. I am also giving away a $25 gift card here - simply leave a comment below for a chance to win! **If you have troubles, please try using the Firefox browser.** The giveaway closes on Sunday, March 22nd at 11:59 pm EDT. Both the Spellbinders winner and winner from my blog, will be announced the following Tuesday. I will share the winner here, while the Spellbinders blog winner can find their name updated on the hop post. Please note: the gift card cannot be applied to Club subscriptions, but it can be applied to past Club products, Club extras and regular releases. EDITED TO ADD: Congratulations to the randomly-drawn winner Samantha (samantha.coykoicrafting)! Please email [email protected] by March 29th to claim your prize! You should have arrived here from incredibly talented and sweet Norine. Your next stop is the wonderful and super creative, Desiree! And here is a quick recap of the hop order, just in case. I hope this hop provides some happiness in these uncertain times. Stay safe, Friends! This list may contain affiliate links. Using these links before shopping will never add any extra cost to your purchase, but will go a long way in helping support this little blog and exciting new content. I only share products I love, and think you will too :) Biggest thank you's for visiting and for your support! It means so much.

Happy Monday Friends. Can you believe we are already into March? 😮 Before you know it Spring will be here and honestly, I cannot wait! Speaking of Spring, my cards today feature the new Eggstra Special Hot Glimmer Foil Kit of the Month from Spellbinders. Just in time for all my Easter cards needs. I have been so excited to try this month's kit mainly because I just got myself a Hot Foil System which I fell in love with at Creativation earlier this year. It's amazing how a little bit of foil can add so much to a card. This month Spellbinders March 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month includes 3 different Egg foil patterns, 3 different Egg sized dies, 5-word foil plates and a sentiment strip. CARD DETAILS For this first card, I began by blending different shades of colors together onto white card stock. I then used the various Egg Foil Patterns to add the foil to the paper using Silver Glimmer Foil and then used the different sized dies to cut out a bunch of colorful Easter Eggs. I then just arranged them onto the card front and used foam tape to pop a few of them up. I also paired the Hello + Spring plates together to foil the sentiment strip using the MOONDUST Glimmer Foil and then die cut the strip and added it to the bottom of the card. For this next card, I used the negatives of the foiled sheets to add foil to scrap pieces of paper simply by adding shims to the Foil Sandwich and pressing it through the Die Cut machine. As you can see in the card below two of the eggs were done using the negatives and only the larger egg was done with the pattern plate. Here also added the Hello from the Hello Dear Friend Foil Plates and used the PINK Glimmer Foil. For this last card, I combined both silver and blue foiled eggs and tied them all together by adding a light blend of blue ink onto the white paper. I then just finished off the card by adding a double sentiment. Firstly onto the pale pink cardstock again using the Moonstone Foil and then onto a white sentiment strip that I then popped on with foam tape. I hope you got some inspiration from these three Foiled Easter Eggs Cards. I had a lot of fun experimenting and playing with the new to me Hot Foil System, I thought this Month's Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month was perfect for getting me started with this new technique. Hello there, today we are celebrating Spellbinders Club Kits with a fun blog hop. If you didn't already know, Spellbinders have a number of different monthly subscription kits - Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, Card Kit of the Month, Stamp of the Month … so much variety! Today I am sharing a look at the March 2020 Small Die of the Month Club Kit. More on the hop below! For my card today, I started off by die cutting the bunnies from the Spellbinders March 2020 Small Die of the Month Kit from FSJ Whip Cream Cardstock. I then cut the ear pieces from Hero Arts Peony Cardstock. I cut small pieces of the pink cardstock and added them behind the bunnies heads for the noses. I did the same with FSJ Black Licorice Cardstock for their eyes. I then die cut the flowers from FSJ Banana Cream Cardstock and the centres from FSJ Orange Creamsicle Cardstock. One of the flowers was added to the sitting bunny's head and the other I cut one of the leaf dies in the kit from FSJ Limeade Splash Cardstock and cut it down. I then added the flower head on top and popped it under the standing bunny's hand. I took the carrot die in the kit and cut this twice - once from FSJ Orange Creamsicle Cardstock and another from one of the papers in the FSJ Journey Basics Brights Paper Pad. The patterned paper carrot was adhered on top of the cardstock one for stability. I then die cut the carrot tops from more FSJ Limeade Splash Cardstock. The carrot tops were adhered behind the carrot and then the carrot added to a white 4" x 5.5" white card base that has been scored. The bunnies were then added on top with foam squares. I took the sentiment from the Hero Arts Blessings Stamp & Cut and stamped it on to black cardstock with FSJ Clear Pigment Ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more foam squares. To finish off, I added Nuvo Orange Marmalade Jewel Drops to the centres of the flowers. X
