Pin79 Spellbinders keeps coming out with more and more of these Dancin’ dies and I think the Dancin’ Christmas Collection is the best yet! I’ve only used two die sets here but I sure wish I used them all! You don’t have to make them dance. They’d still be just as cute. 1. Die cut… Read More »Spellbinders Dancin’ Christmas Collection
Hello there, today I have two cards to share with you using the fabulous Parcel & Post Collection from Spellbinders. The collection features a mailbox die (with some foliage and a cute little envelope), Christmas foliage, glimmer foil sentiments and ones in stamp format too. There is also a heart decorations set so that you can decorate the mailboxes for Valentine's - so cute! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my cards by die cutting the elements from the Spellbinders Parcel & Post Mailbox Etched Dies for the mailboxes themselves. I used Spellbinders Phone Booth Cardstock for the main body and then C9 Cranberry for the darker piece at the side (barely a difference in the photos, a slight difference in real-life). I die cut the envelopes from Spellbinders Alabaster Cardstock. The handles were cut from Hero Arts Gold Glitter Cardstock. As you can see, the mailbox actually opens at the top, so that you can pop mail and foliage inside! For the sentiments, I foiled the Spellbinders Christmas Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Hot Plate (there are four individual plates in the set) on to white cardstock using Spellbinders Champagne Foil. They were then die cut out using the die from the mailbox set and popped up with additional layers. The mailboxes were assembled using Bearly Art Glue. I ran two panels of cardstock through my die cutting machine with the Spellbinders Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder. The panels were adhered to A2 card bases and then the mailboxes added on top with thin foam tape. I then set about decorating them! I die cut the foliage pieces from the Spellbinders Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations Etched Dies set from Spellbinders Fern, Rainforest and Poppy Fields Cardstock. The additional pine fronds are from the Spellbinders Winter Welcome Sled Etched Dies and the poinsettia from the Spellbinders Christmas Blooms Etched Dies. The smaller holly leaves are also from this set. The elements were popped inside and on top of the mailboxes using a combination of Bearly Art Glue, thin foam tape and foam squares. The hearts are from the Spellbinders Delicious Decorations Etched Dies set. On one card I cut it from red cardstock and added it to the envelope and the other, I die cut them from gold glitter cardstock to use as an accent/embellishment. To finish off, I added Color Essentials Gems to to both cards. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the projects. Affiliate links are used on some products. If you are in the UK or Europe, you can order from the shop and have no customs fees (if you are in the UK, I am not sure about Europe, sorry!) and a lot less shipping costs! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care!
Hello friends. I've been busy with my die cut machine cutting loads of festive florals from the Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set. This set is full of beautiful flowers and foliage. They are perfect for holiday cards and projects and most can also be used for other seasons by simply changing up the colors. The first thing I do when producing a large quantity of cards is all the die cutting. I choose my cardstock colors and cut loads of images. Then I glue multiples together usually two or three to create some dimension and texture on my cards. After I have them glued and stacked I start assembling my cards. I embossed the backgrounds for these cards using the Scenic Poinsettias 3D Embossing folder from Spellbinders. This folder is currently out of stock ( at the time I'm writing this), but there are so many other backgrounds that would also work well for this card. I'll link them below in the product suggestions. After embossing the A2 panels, I glued them to my card bases. I then got to work creating the JOY using the Joy Hot Foil Plate and coordinating die from PinkFresh Studios. Any bold holiday sentiment would work well here. After foiling the letters and cutting them out, I cut additional pieces from white cardstock to stack behind the letters. I love how the dimension looks. Finally, I was ready to create my festive bouquets. I positioned the JOY on the front of the card and added bits and pieces from the pile of flowers and leaves I created. Each card is different, with the same basic layout | design. This keeps me from getting too bored. Here's another version I created. And a close up look. I hope these inspire you to create something today. -Cathy Links to products used or recommended are listed below:

Hi! I'm super excited to share some cards (and a video) with you today! I used the new Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting machine along with the Shapeabilites Snowflake Snippets die. These amazing products are available on Scrapbook.com! For the first card, I foiled like a mad woman! Even though these dies are very intricate, the Platinum 6 cuts through them like butter. I die cut these out of Peel N Stick Toner Sheets and ran them through a laminator with some Lapis Watercolor DecoFoil. They are just beautiful!!! I added a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink to soften up the harsh white background and adhered the panel to another Toner Sheet I had foiled. The snowflakes really shine and pop on this card! Next up, I created a shaker card using the same die. And... I made a video, too!!! I know shaker cards can seem a bit scary and intimidating, but they really aren't! In the video below, see how easy it is to create a quick shaker! Easy peasy, right? Don't let shakers scare you away! With fun and beautiful dies, it really does make it that much simpler. Plus, the Tool N One is almost necessary; without it, removing all of the pieces would be such a pain in the neck. But with it, I am no longer afraid to cut with detailed dies! Hi there my Spellbiners’ friends, Welcome back to the Spellbiners Blog! My name is Jaycee Gaspar and I’m a full-time scientist and part-time content creator and card maker. Today, I’m sharing simple inspiration and projects featuring the Dancin’ Christmas Collection. This collection features four dancing groups, a paired sentiment stamp set, and embossing folder. This group is sure to keep you crafting, but your recipients will be amazed by how clever your Dancin’ Christmas cards are. I used three techniques to make these interactive cards: ink blending, color blocking, and shiny embellishing. Ink blending gives dimension to otherwise solid hues of cardstock. Color blocking helps define clear palettes in your cards; the focus of your cards is the fun and interactive swinging motion. Finally, shiny elements add to the interactive element of these cards and give your recipient another gift to enjoy! For my first card, I used the Dancin’ Gingerbread Etched Dies. I coordinated clothes in the pair of cookies and tried to keep my color palettes simple. I started with a neutral tan cardstock for the base of the cookies. Then using a variety of inks and an ink blending tool, I gently shaded the cookie’s edges just as if they were baked. I made sure to add shading to the scarf, dress, bow, and cap. I achieved this with a mix of warm gray inks to preserve the white piping but also add a little depth to the clothes and accessories. I assembled the pair of gingerbread cookies on top of the Monoline Stars Embossing Folder. I finished this card with a Dancin’ Christmas Sentiments banner and an array of white and silver splatters. I felt like this added more sugary sweetness to this card. To maintain the edible theme from the previous card, I used the Dancin’ Figgy Pudding Etched Dies. I followed similar steps to achieve that perfectly baked cardstock. I started with the same neutral tan base but added deeper values of ink to crisp the pudding. Instead of leaving the custard layer white, I also added creamy shading with a mix of brown inks. I used the same warm grey palette to shade the arms, mittens, legs, boots, and scarf in this die set. I added a little white pigment ink to the Monoline Stars Embossing Folder to highlight the Dancin’ Figgy Pudding image. Then finally I added an array of splatter from the same previously mentioned white and silver watercolors. I wanted this to feel like powdered sugar on a decorative platter. Up next is the Dancin’ Penguin Etched Dies. I made a pair of ice skaters by cutting each element in the etched die set twice. I love how easily these two penguins filled an A2-sized card front. There was not a lot of shading to add to this card, since the penguins are already black. However, I did add a little warm grey ink blended shadows to the edges of the red sweaters, scarf, ice skates, and cap. For a fun shiny highlight, I cut the star ornament from gold mirror cardstock. I found an icy blue cardstock to emboss with the Monoline Stars Embossing Folder. Then I added even more metallic silver splatters to give the effect of heavy snow. For my final card, I used the Dancin’ & Giftin’ Mouse Etched Dies. I went for a jewel-toned palette to coordinate with the gray mouse. I have a very limited colored cardstock collection, so to make the exact hue I wanted, I used a mix of inks to deepen the cardstock. For example, I used grey ink to tone down the bright pink ears, paw, and tail. After shading all the elements of this card, I made the large gift stand out with metallic gold splatters. Then after assembling these dies on top of a navy Monoline Stars embossed panel, I finished this card with silver splatter and a gold heat embossed sentiment from Dancin’ Christmas Sentiments. Other Supplies Altenew-Mini Ink Blending Brushes; Altenew-Antique Gold Sequins; Altenew-Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set Huge thanks to the Spellbinders team for letting me share these four interactive cards with you all! I hope that you check out the other ‘Dancin’’ Series on the Spellbinders Paper Arts store. There are many other occasions to add these interactive dancing elements to your next card project! You can find more of my card projects on YouTube, Instagram (@jaycee.gaspar), and at my blog. I hope to see you all again very soon!
Hello Spellbinder Fans! Today is a super fun day for all things Spellbinders and all things Holiday! The hop is on today with tons of inspiration and some prizes! Keep scrolling to see 2 projects, the giveaway details and a full list of stops on today's hop. _____________________________________ CARDS One of the new die sets from Spellbinders is called Shapeabilites Joy Etched Dies. I just love this die and how much fun it is to put together. To create this card, I first cut the large die with green card stock. Next, I layered up the holly, leaves, poinsettia and holly berries with different colors of green and red glitter. I also cut the JOY in red glitter and again in fun foam to pop up the sentiment. Using liquid glue, I added in all the details and leaves to create this colorful Christmas sentiment. I attached the die cut to a white scored card base to finish it off. The next card showcases the Holiday Sentiments Hot Foil Glimmer Plates.... I used Gold Foil and foiled up 3 of the sentiments on red and green card stock. Next, I used the strip die that comes with the sentiments to cut out 3 sentiments. I popped up the three strips with foam tape so they just pop off the card. Last, I grasped the Santa D-Lites Dies to make this adorable face. He fits right on those sentiments for a fun clean and simple card. Hello friends! It's Christmas in July at Spellbinders with the release of their new Handmade Holidays Collection and Home For The Holidays Collection. Spellbinders so kindly sent me three surprise products to work with. This St. Nick die set from Home For The Holidays is perfectly charming! He reminds me of an old world Father Christmas. He comes with many accessories including a Christmas tree, lantern and the beautiful etched star. I accented St. Nick with the beautiful Poinsettia Spray die set, which you'll see more of below. If you are a collector of Santa's or you like the old world look, then you'll love this St. Nick. This next card shows the other two surprise sets they sent for me to work with. The Emerald Cut Labels and Tag dies from Home For The Holidays Collection are fabulous in both design and detail. There are three large rectangular Emerald cut shapes, each with an insert to cut detailed edges. The smallest die in this set of seven thin metal cutting dies is a tag with a detailed accent at the bottom. A wonderful basic set to have in your die-cutting stash! The Poinsettia Spray die set from Home For The Holidays is equally beautiful. When used with the greenery die that is included in the set, it creates a lovely spray of poinsettia blooms as well as other flowers and berries. The sentiment banner you see is from the Handmade Sentiments set from the Handmade Holidays collection. You'll see more of that below. Spellbinders generously allowed me to pick two items of my choosing to play with. I chose this delightful Delivery Joy Sleigh as well as the Handmade Sentiments die set, both from the Handmade Holidays collection. This finely detailed set of dies makes a stunning sleigh full of gifts! So many details from gift-wrapped presents with bows and gift tags to Poinsettia, greens and more! I couldn't be more delighted with these beautiful dies from Spellbinders! I have a healthy head start on my holiday card making. You can find all these dies and more at Spellbinders. Join our guest designer Brenda Noelke from My PaperCut Creations as she shared gorgeous cardmaking inspiration with the Make it Merry Limited Edition Holiday Cardmaking Kit! Hello! I’m super excited to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog and sharing five cards that I created with the Make It Merry Christmas Kit!! This kit is chock-full of enough supplies to create at least 25 cards!! It comes with EVERYTHING, from card bases, cardstock, and even adhesive!! My first card combines cardstock, patterned paper, die-cut shapes, chipboard embellishments, puffy stickers, and sequins… I trimmed a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to a panel of A2 white cardstock. I adhered the die-cut shapes and sentiment, then the puffy stickers and chipboard embellishments. I added a few sequins to finish it off. My second card combines two different patterned papers, foil paper, die-cut shapes, a chipboard embellishment, and puffy sticker… For this one, I trimmed the green snowflake-patterned paper and adhered it to the tree-patterned paper. I trimmed a strip of the gold foil paper and adhered it where the two papers meet. The die-cut shapes were adhered with adhesive, popping up the center gift with foam squares. The chipboard sentiment and puffy stickers were adhered to finish it off. I used patterned paper, cardstock, die-cut shapes, a chipboard sentiment, and puffy sentiment on my third card… The polka-dot patterned paper was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 panel of pink cardstock. The pre-printed die-cuts were adhered with adhesive and foam squares. I adhered the puffy sentiment, then the chipboard sentiment and heart, and this one was finished. My fourth card was created with die-cut shapes, a chipboard embellishment and sentiment, and a gemstone… For this one, I trimmed the striped patterned paper slightly and adhered it to an A2 panel of white cardstock. I trimmed the tag in half and adhered it at the top and bottom of the sentiment die-cut. The chipboard sentiment and embellishment were both adhered, then the die-cut shapes were popped up with foam squares. A single red gemstone was adhered in the hole of the tag. My fifth and final card combines two different patterned papers, die-cut shapes, chipboard embellishments and sentiments, and puffy stickers… This one may be my favorite!! I trimmed the gold foiled patterned paper and adhered it down the center of an A2 panel of the green foiled script paper. I adhered a tag, then just arranged all of the other elements until I liked the layout, then adhered them with adhesive and foam squares. That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a great day and happy crafting!!

Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Happy Haunting Collection. I love making cute spooky cards and they don’t have to be just for Halloween. To create the dots with wax beads simply drop a small amount onto the silicone mat. It’s a great way to use up any extra melted wax on the spoon! Blend purple ink on a piece of Porcelain BetterPress A2 Card then impress with Spider Web Background Press Plate with the same ink. Adhere to an A2 card base. Die cut the image from Woof-or-Treat Etched Dies and assemble with liquid glue. Adhere to the card with foam tape. Create sentiment from All Seasons Autumn with Black BetterPress Ink. Cut out with coordinating die then twice more. Adhere together and to card. Create dots using Black, Twilight Purple, and Glow in the Dark Wax Beads and adhere throughout card. Blend lime green ink on a piece of Porcelain BetterPress A2 Card then impress with Pumpkins and Ghosts Background Press Plate with the same ink. Adhere to an A2 card base. Die cut the image from Fiona the Dancin’ Witch Etched Dies and assemble with liquid glue. Adhere to card with foam tape. To create the swinging legs, don’t attach the legs to the body. They legs should only have adhesive inside the loop. Create sentiment from All Seasons Autumn with Black BetterPress Ink. Cut out with coordinating die then twice more. Adhere together and to card. Create dots using Black, Citrine, and Glow in the Dark Wax Beads and adhere throughout card. Create wax seal using the Boo! Wax Seal Stamp and Glow in the Dark Wax Beads. August 12, 2019 Introducing 3D Holiday Vignettes Blog Hop and Glimmer Way back when 3D Vignettes were introduced, messages started to come in by crafters begging for the same thing, but for Christmas. You also asked that we keep supplying new inserts. Well, your wish is our command! Introducing 3D Holiday Vignettes plus new Glimmer Designs. If you are not familiar with these popular dies, stay tuned - lots of information follows. Hi there, today we are sharing with you a great new collection by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace with a blog hop featuring new Vignettes for the holidays and the new Holiday Glimmer Designs will blow your socks off. So..... What's a 3D Vignette? A 3D Vignette is a dimensional card that folds down flat. It has a front layer, a back layer and several in between layers that are held stable by slotted side pieces. These layers allow you to build depth into a diorama or tunnel type card. We take all of the guesswork out of the equation by giving you mix and match layers, including sentiments to stack into a Vignette. So far, we've released 3D Vignettes and Shadowbox Vignettes. What's more, you can use your own supplies to fill them up as well. The bonus is that each of these layers also works for your other types of cards you make. A budget crafter from day one, Becca keeps the "mix and match" sensibility alive in Holiday Vignettes so that you get a lot of bang for your buck. What does that mean? 1. These vignettes are interchangeable with your other vignettes. 2. Holiday Designs can be used for non-holiday designs after the season. 3. You can use these elements to make flat, stand-alone cards too. About 3D Holiday Vignettes Layered Die sets were introduced with 3D Vignettes and people quickly realized you could use individual elements in flat cards or you could use them layered together in a diorama. Shadowbox Vignettes continued the tradition and as you might guess, these new layering sets can be used in both Shadowbox Vignettes and 3D Vignettes. 3D Holiday features three new facades (each including a sentiment) using the same shapes that came in the original 3D Vignettes - Round (snow globe), Arch, and Cabinet. In addition, there is a new layering set for each - a round set, an arch set and a set to fit the new cabinet. Join us as we give you a full-on look at all of the new sets. My Project For Today: I thought this cabinet would be great all lit up so i added in some fairy lights. I backed the cabinet with chipboard and attached the battery mount on the back of the cabinet. I used the Cabinet sentiment on the front of the Cabinet and have the Reindeer prancing in the background. It really looks stunning at night with the lights on. Below is a peek at what the fairy lights look like First up is S6-157-Grand-Holiday-Cabinet; S4-1005 Reindeer Prance Hoilday Set S4-995 Cinch n Go V Etched Dies are the flowers i used on this project. Here is what the plates actually looks like. I so enjoyed playing with this Cabinet Vignette. and how very the cabinet die was to put together. Hello and welcome! I have a fun holiday card featuring the new "St. Nick" from the Spellbinders "Home for the Holidays" collection which was just released. Supplies: https://ldli.co/e/3on577x I used some plaid from my stash for the background then an inked (lightly with Iced Spruce Distress Ink) panel. I cut all the pieces from white and used alcohol markers and a white paint pen to add some fun details. The tiny white snowflakes are sequins from my stash. Here's another picture: Here's a picture of a 2nd card I made, this one without the plaid: I just think he is so cute and perfect for a slimline card. Thanks for stopping by!
