This Spanish 1 review product will replace your typical worksheet/ grammar review at the end of the school year or it can be used to replace your Spanish 1 final exam. My life's tablet is a recap/review application project that can be used to replace the Spanish 1 final exam review or to replace a review packet at the beginning of Spanish 2. The project offers 14 different topics that students can choose from and it required that they design an icon for each "APP" they create. The project will take at least one week to complete depending on the number of Apps that you want students to complete. This project offers choices to students, and it goes beyond the mere grammar aspect of the language. This project can be used in any foreign language (instructions in English). This product contains instructions, rubrics, and sample pictures of actual projects completed by my students. My resources follow ACTFL best practices and focus on improving students' proficiency and developing a lifelong interest in languages. The resources I create, prepare students to use languages in the real world and to learn about the target culture. I develop resources with love, and I take pride in my work. The materials from my TPT store have been used in my classroom with my own students, and now they are available to you. I tweak and improve my resources based on the learning effectiveness I observe when I use them to teach; I update the resources every year to meet the needs of students and to adopt best practices. I put countless hours of work into creating them because it matters; I know I can help other teachers like you reduce their lesson preparation time, thus giving you all more time to practice self-care and spend quality time with family and friends. I love teaching, and I want to make a difference in the lives of my students because I care about them. I also care for my fellow teachers; I know what it is like to be overwhelmed and exhausted by endless tasks, especially if you are in your first years as a teacher. When buying my materials, you are getting added value because you will not only acquire high-quality materials, but you will also learn about new instructional strategies to use the resources. You will get excellent customer service when buying any of my resources; I will get back to you ASAP for any questions, requests, or troubleshooting issues. I want to make sure that all my customers have a positive experience and are satisfied with the resources they buy. I hope you decide to try my resources. Please take a moment to recognize the work of all teachers that create resources in TPT; You can do this by leaving a kind review after you buy and use any TPT product. ************************************************************************************************************* Terms of Use and Important Information about this Product Please keep in mind that all materials included in this product are for one classroom teacher only. {Affiliate links used.} I am closing out the school year with my Spanish lessons and wanted a way to review the vocabulary we have been working on. I came across on Pinterest a post about Kaboom! It was created for elementary classrooms, but I thought it would be perfect for language learners also! So here is how you go about it: First of all you will need... Jumbo Craft Sticks Sharpie Markers Cups (Not see through) Since I work with a lot of different levels of students I had several categories of vocabulary I wanted to use like house items, the alphabet, clothes, opposites, etc. I decided to color-code the sticks on one end. This helps with two things. Kids will know how to put them in the cup with the colored part sticking out. This allows me to select which sets of vocabulary to use with certain sets of students. For example, I know that the orange sticks are emotions and the pink sticks are foods. {See the final set of pictures for the list I made for myself.} After you color the tips, you write one word towards the other end of the stick. I tend to use about 15 sticks for a vocabulary-themed set. Three of those sticks will have the word "Caramba" written on them. The rest will have vocabulary words you want kids to review. To play the game you put one set (or maybe two or three if you have more advanced students) in a cup with the colored tips up. Students take turns pulling a stick out of the cup and giving the translation of the word. They keep the stick if they can say what it means in English. Otherwise, they put it back in the cup if they don't know. If they pull a "Caramba" stick they have to put back ALL their sticks! I time the game for about three minutes. The student with the most sticks at the end wins! This is a fun way to review vocabulary which at times can be tedious!

As a new teacher, I gave an enormous vocabulary list at the beginning of each unit. Then I drilled and quizzed the life out of it-- and still found that my students forgot most of it by the end of the year! Now, I always try to introduce vocabulary in context, and in much smaller amounts. I have two main ways to record vocabulary. Most of the time, it's in sets of three (pictured first, below) and the surrounding pages contain stories and input surrounding those phrases. I also have a specific vocabulary section, where I keep little booklets by
