Em 1883, apresentou no Salão da Exposição de Belas Artes a obra Os calções rotos, recebendo uma Menção Honrosa. Na Exposição Internacional de Nice, em 1885, ganhou a Medalha de Ouro. Nesse mesmo ano foi agraciado pelo Governo Português com a grau de Cavaleiro de S. Tiago. No Salão de Paris, em 1885, ganhou uma Menção Honrosa. Foi distinguido com a Medalha de Prata na Exposição Universal de Paris, em 1889. Em 1890, foi nomeado membro do júri da Ordem Oficial da Legião de Honra. Ganhou a medalha de prata na Exposição do Rio de Janeiro em 1895. Na Exposição Universal de Atlanta (Estados Unidos) recebeu a medalha de ouro (1896). Foi distinguido com a Medalha de Prata na Exposição Universal de Paris, em 1889. Em 1890, foi nomeado membro do júri da Ordem Oficial da Legião de Honra. Ganhou a medalha de prata na Exposição do Rio de Janeiro em 1895. Na Exposição Universal de Atlanta (Estados Unidos) recebeu a medalha de ouro (1896). Foi um artista extremamente produtivo, as suas obras foram requeridas por coleccionadores, museus nacionais e internacionais, pelo que se encontram bastante dispersas. Sousa Pinto foi reconhecido entre os melhores pintores e considerado incomparável no manejo da técnica de pastel no seu tempo. Das Hauptziel der parendodontischen Chirurgie besteht darin, ein Versagen der konventionellen endodontischen Behandlung mit chirurgischen Mitteln zu korrigieren. Dies ist die Behandlungsoption, wenn der ätiologische Erreger des periapikalen Entzündungsprozesses auf dem Weg der Gewebereparatur nicht konservativ beseitigt werden kann. Ziel dieses Buches ist es daher, auf die Bedeutung der präoperativen Massnahmen hinzuweisen, die der Zahnarzt vor einem parendodontischen Eingriff durchführen sollte. So wird über die Bedeutung einer effizienten Anamnese, die zur Verfügung stehenden Zusatzuntersuchungen, die Biosicherheit, die präoperative medikamentöse Therapie und das Management von Patienten mit besonderen Bedürfnissen informiert. Daher wird in dieser Arbeit betont, dass der Zahnchirurg über die notwendigen Kenntnisse verfügen muss, um den Patienten, der sich einem parendodontischen Eingriff unterziehen soll, vollständig und richtig zu beurteilen. Daher muss der Fachmann auch alle angemessenen Massnahmen für den transoperativen Komfort seines Patienten ergreifen, um die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines erfolgreichen Eingriffs zu erhöhen.
