After her mother dies of an accidental overdose, Alex takes leave from her job as a writer for a Washington, DC, lifestyle magazine to return home to Maryland's Eastern Shore. There, she joins her brother Owen, a study in failure-to-launch, in sorting out their mother's whimsical and often self-destructive life. Alex has proposed to her editor that while she is home she profile Juliette Sprigg, her former high school fling, owner of a wildly popular local restaurant, and celebrity chef in the making. While working on the story and trying for a second chance with Juliette, Alex meets Carolyn Massey, editor of the town newspaper, and wonders if there's more to life than reheating leftovers. Enter Alex and Owen's Aunt Johanna, who arrives from Seattle to help with arrangements. When Johanna reveals a family secret, Alex may have to accept her family for who they are rather than who she hoped they would be. And just maybe apply the same philosophy to her heart and herself.

As seen at the 2022 American Medical Student Association (AMSA) Meeting Expo in Washington DC. Become a Master Surgeon! Check out www.theleoboard.com/learn for future tutorials launching December 2022! This is a one of a kind 3D printed Weighted Suture tying board for the surgeon of all ability levels! Made by a surgeon for surgeons. Perfect for the medical student, nursing student, physician assistant, or surgical resident! As anyone in medicine knows, suturing is a critical part of our art. We practice everywhere all the time. The Leo Board allows you to practice with a purpose and mimic real world situations. I weight each suture board with Steel Grit which is very dense and heavy. Unlike the typical practice boards that bounce or lift up when you practice, my board stays securely in place to let you practice most efficiently. Each feature on the board is carefully thought out from my own experience as a resident in what skills I think would be most beneficial to the medical student and resident. Key Features: 1) Suturing Irregular lacerations: Practice joining the edges of a jagged edge and star type laceration. 2) Basic suturing - Practice everything from a simple interrupted to a sub-cuticular suture on a very generously long straight laceration mimic. 3) Anastomosis - Practice joining two curved edges together (similar to what you'd do with an anastomosis) 4) A weighted Steel Grit filled base prevents the board from moving while mastering the art of suturing. 5) Compact! - only takes up 6in x 6in space 8) Currently available in Clear 9) 3D printed to order by Me! I will print them as ordered. Why I built this: I am currently a neurosurgery resident in Boston, MA and I have a passion for teaching and inspiring medical students to fall in love with surgery. I invented the first version of this board for one of my medical students who after a case asked me how to improve his suture skills. I went home and designed a CAD model then 3D printed about 5 different versions before arriving at this one! They are requested by my co-residents in orthopedics, general surgery, the ED, OB/Gyn, and of course our amazing medical students! I called it the Leo board not because "Leo" is my middle name (well partly haha) but rather because Leo means strong, courageous, cunning, and creative which are all the qualities of a great surgeon. Each board I print on my own 3D printer. So it takes time to print then assemble each one. So please allow time for this! I apologize for delays but I will do my best to deliver them in a timely manner!
For superheroes to stay alive, they have to change with the times. It’s a dilemma the comics industry has struggled with for decades, here and there resisting and elsewhere confronting head on....
When we talk about female superheroes—how many of them there are, what jobs they're given to do, the way they dress—we're really talking about females, period. Over the last few years, the conversation about how well our girls in the sky are doing and what it means for us down on Earth has reached a fever pitch, thanks in large part to Marvel. They've rolled out a groundbreaking female Thor character, a hugely popular Spider-Gwen series, and a teenage Muslim Ms. Marvel—and today, they're unveiling the cover of the first book in their A-Force series, which revolves around an all-female superhero team, right here. Behold: Squad goals, you know? New hero Singularity is the star of the series—she arrives in the Marvel Universe during the aftermath of the Secret Wars. She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Medusa, Dazzler, and Nico Minoru also show up in key roles. A-Force is the brainchild of writer G. Willow Wilson (who also writes Ms. Marvel) and Sana Amanat, Marvel's director of content and character development. I spoke with them about how female superhero status has changed over their careers—and what's next. How did both of you get into the comic book business? SANA AMANAT: My background is

While she may trade on her wealthy family pedigree as a star on E!'s hit reality TV show Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Roxy Sowlaty boasts impressive accomplishments of her own in real life—after graduating with a business degree from USC, she earned a master's in interior design from New York City's prestigious Parsons New School of Design. She worked on homes in Manhattan and in tony Aspen—and later launched her own interior design business in LA. It'll come as no surprise, then, that Sowlaty's own Beverly Hills apartment is drop-dead gorgeous. Here are Sowlaty's six favorite nooks and crannies in the place she calls home base: 1. My vanity area: "My Martinique banana leaf print upholstered desk chair I collaborated to design with Throne Upholstery is my favorite piece! It reminds me of the Beverly Hills Hotel and always puts a smile on my face! I also love my mirrored desk/vanity. I actually got it from Urban Outfitters a few years back and I just adore it." 2. My Princess candle: "I am obsessed with candles and scents and think it is so important for your home to always smell good. I definitely see scents as an extension of
