Humorous book of cartoons by famous cartoonist Ronald Searle who illustrated the Molesworth books with notes by his wife Kaye Webb. The dustjacket is fully illustrated in Searle's signature style. This takes the form of a journal chronicling the people and places around Paris that the authors encountered, gently poking fun at French ways. originally published in 1951 this is the second impression of the revised edition. The book is slim and 25cm high and 120 pages. It has tight binding with no lean. The page block is clean and bright with only light age tone more significant at the edges. Generally clean and bright. The dustjacket is clipped and a little rubbed. The spine of the jacket is age toned but the title is clear. The black boards are very good. All in all an interesting book with attitudes of its time and a nice addition to any vintage book collection and a treat for any francophile.
