MAKE STRING HEART YARN CARDS
A whimsical "guide" for cat lovers, based on my original watercolor. Inspired by antique instructional diagrams and many, many cats of my acquaintance. >^..^< Now available in two print options with different price points. The two versions look extremely similar; the main differences are paper color/texture and how quickly we expect the print to fade over time. Please read the below to select your option, and also see the last photo showing a side-by-side comparison of the two versions. ARCHIVAL option (higher quality, more expensive): This is a high-quality giclée print, printed by an independent local company on archival 100% cotton rag paper. The paper is a creamier white compared to the non-archival, has a texture reminiscent of watercolor paper, and is the option that will feel closer to my original painting. I've signed each print by hand. While a print like this will still fade over time, some people estimate it will last for decades, especially if kept away from direct light. (Please note, photos of archival print are from a 2015 printing. The 2024 printing is very similar.) NON-ARCHIVAL option (everyday quality, less expensive): This is an everyday-quality digital print, printed by a different independent local company on acid-free cardstock. The bright white paper has a smooth finish and the printer inks have a very slight sheen. This print comes unsigned. Although the paper is acid-free, the printer inks are non-archival, so this version will experience more fading than the archival print -- though I can tell you that similar prints I have are still looking fine after several years (granted, they haven't been exposed to much light). If you experience significant degradation in print or paper quality within five years or so, send me a photo and I will mail you a replacement. Both options measure 11x14 inches (approx. 28x36 cm), and come unframed and packaged in an acid-free plastic sleeve. These kitties are so dear to my heart. Please enjoy. (Special acknowledgments to my feline friends Chairman Meow, Honey, Moose, Tisha, "Mama Cat", Lyapa, Stewie, Manapua, Clover, Tybalt, and Beasley! <3 )
