The "U-Drop Inn" or the "Conoco tower" in Shamrock TX was the highlight of the 66 trip for me. We pulled into town around 9:00 at night and were worried that the tower may not be lit up anymore. So much to our relief as we neared the tower we could make out a green neon glow. The kids were in awe because this building is nearly an exact replica of Ramone's body shop from Pixar Cars movie. The architecture and neon look amazing. Enjoy the photos. I also threw in an old photo from around the mid 50s.
This bridge is awesome...unless you're afraid of heights.
