I was really happy when Stampin' Up! carried the Shaded Summer stamp set and Summer Shadows dies into the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. We didn't have a chance to use it last year, so I am having a great time making lots of this with it now. Take a look. You can't go wrong with pink, black and white! With this card, I created the background by stamping the smaller floral stamp over a piece of Polished Pink cardstock with Polished Pink ink. This is such a fun way to make your own DSP. I don't heat emboss much, but whenever I do I just love it! Look how simple this is! I used a piece of Orchid Oasis DSP and stamped the flowers with Versamark then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Wow! How fun is that White Fringed Ribbon? Instead of wrapping it around, I cut it to the right length and fringed the ends, then used the other side of the DSP for the verse. The coordinating Summer Shadow dies can be used by themselves to make beautiful cards. The flowers and leaves in this card were cut from Basic White cardstock then the solid pieces were sponged with green and pink (not sure exactly what colors, as I used whatever was left in my Stampin' Brushes!). Notice the Splatters background? That folder is the small size, so I embossed both ends of the paper so it would be totally covered. The verse is from the Go To Greetings stamp set. This set has nice, basic greetings in three different sizes and fonts. I think I will be using this set often. Bam! Look at how those yellows pop with the black accents! Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry flowers, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz green. Softened a little by sponging Balmy Blue around the Basic White layer. The flowers are the same die as in the card above, but I filled them in to make solid petals. I used Stitched Rectangle and Scallop Contour dies in several of these cards - both are my go-to favorites. I just love all the different types of flowers the Shaded Summer stamp set and Summer Shadows dies can make!
It's time for our theme challenge at Global Design Project. This one is fairly simple...make a Thank You card. You probably know that right now through the end of September, is Sale-a-Bration time at Stampin' Up! We don't typically have...

Hi Everyone, There is sometimes so much excitement surrounding the new products in new catalogues that sometimes we forget about the lovely sets that we already have. I recently saw a card made using the Shaded Summer stamp set and dies and remembered that it was in my stash, so I pulled it out to make this card. I've teamed it with the Brights dsp stack in my favourite Melon Mambo. Materials 1 piece of thick basic white card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" 1 piece of basic white card stock 3" x 4" 1 piece of Brights dsp (Melon Mambo) 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" Scraps of melon mambo, basic white and granny apple green Shaded Summer stamp set Memento Black ink Scalloped Contour dies Summer Shadows dies Trimmer Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine Simply Scored Bone Folder Multipurpose adhesive Dimensionals Iridescent Rhinestones Instructions On the long side score the thick white card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Adhere the dsp to the card front. Die cut the middle sized rectangle from white and then the solid flowers in melon mambo, the solid leaves in granny apple green and then the outlines in white. Adhere the outlines to the solid leaves and flowers. Stamp a sentiment at the top of the rectangle and then added the flowers and leaves using dimensionals and add the rectangle to the card front, also using dimensionals. Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card is required. Add some rhinestones for added bling. Please click on the links to see what everyone else has made too. Hello everyone! I'm a little late to the party in getting the Shaded Summer stamp set. I just got it during the recent one-day sale. (I got the dies during Sale-abration.) Today's cerd is a compilation of three challenges. First, is a color challenge by CAS Colours and Sketches #442 The colors are Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. The next challenge, a new one for me, Seize the Birthday #225 Use a Stencil. Add last but not least, Watercooler Wednesday Challenge 327 All Things Feminine. I love the Shaded Summer stamp set. The flowers are gorgeous and the font is beautiful. Although, today's sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. The size worked better for my design. I stamped the flowers in Old Olive onto Basic White card and cut them out using the die. The leaves were colored with light Old Olive blend. The flowers were stamped again on white scraps using Rich Razzleberry and colored with Rich Razzleberry and Pale Papaya blends and were fussy cut out and glued in place to cover the green flowers. For the stenciling, I used the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks and Night of Navy ink. I used a blending brush. I cut the scalloped border below the sentiment out of Night of Navy. It is part of the Painted Labels dies. I really like the way this card came out. I hope you like it too. Be sure to check out the other cards in these challenges. Happy Stamping!
