ERRATUM Oct 2021 There is an extra dec mistakenly given on row 1 of Right Sleeve raglan shaping - the row should read Row 1 (RS) K to last 5 sts, skpo, K3. *Great news!** April 2021** - I’ve added some extra sizes which are in a separate pattern. You will be able to buy either pattern at checkout - check that you select the correct size. So the first pattern is for bust sizes 32 - 42ins/81.5-106.5cm. The yardage for 2 ends Rowan Fine Lace worked together is 2000 - 2800m. See note below re a 4ply yarn. The second pattern is for sizes 44-52ins/112-132cm. The yardage is 2800 - 3600m Both patterns have charts for optional lace panels (see image of red garment). Update April 2019 Single pattern available. I’ve re-knitted the cardi using a bright red Rowan Finest (sadly now discontinued), adding a lace panel at the back and on the sleeves (see photos to left) The pattern has been revised to include charts for these. Size 34ins took 290g Finest (1140m)- Merino Superwash Wool (50%),Alpaca (30%),Cashmere (20%) Inspired by the 18th century short jacket, this classic wrap cardigan is cropped, and would look great worn over an Empire line, high-waisted dress, or as part of a layered outfit. Knitted in a beautiful, soft alpaca mix yarn, it is a modern twist on the classic ballet-wrap. There is now a Ravelry group for A Handknit Romance. Two ends of lace yarn used together, or 4ply one end can be used. For help with pattern contact me at [email protected]

Kolachi (our old-world term) is a highly addicting Eastern European delicacy, a butter dough pastry filled with a variety of sweet & creamy fillings, enjoyed for holiday entertaining, breakfast, snacks, or an evening treat. This is the original #1 selling 150+ year old family recipe passed down 5+ generations, found only in a select few heads and vault in a secret location. Not familiar? Read the reviews and discover what you're missing. Taste The Difference: The truly highest quality pastry you can find. From start to finish we take the extra time and care to bake kolachi the old-fashioned way with the freshest, highest quality ingredients we can find. Our sweet cream butter, eggs, milk, and walnuts come directly from the farm. Products just like Mom & Grandma baked - without all the time, cost, and frustrations of baking - only the sweet memories. Fresh Dough: We mix many batches of fresh dough, daily, with ingredients you can pronounce - flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, sea salt, yeast. No cheap ingredients used as fillers. Pure cane sugar, no cheap beet sugar. No "just add water" mixes. No cheap blends that call themselves butter. Great baked goods start with the best ingredients and there is no substitute for the flavor of real sweet cream butter! Our Filling: We like more filling than dough and that's exactly how we make them. No grocery store want-a-be rolls that are all bread. The freshest California grown English walnuts arrive direct from a family farm, are ground fresh into our mixing bowl to make a rich & creamy walnut fillings that makes each bite soft, moist and bursting with flavor. What You Get: Net Weight 24 oz. 14" long, can slice into 18-28 servings. Individually wrapped in freezer ready gift box. Freeze up to 6 months. INGREDIENTS: WALNUTS, UNTREATED WHEAT FLOUR, SUGAR, WATER, BUTTER, EGGS, MILK, SEA SALT, YEAST. Origins: Kolachi is the old-world generic term for many sweet yeast dough pastries and breads, originating from the word kolo meaning circle or wheel, in our case the dough flattened into the shape of a circle, filling spread, then rolled up. Kolachi (kawl-a-chi) is plural and kolach (kawl-atsh) is a single roll. Other spellings, all pronounced the same are kolache, kolachy, kolacs and kalacs. Many call them rolls, bread, cakes, strudel, etc. Hungarian beigli, biegli, bejgli, bejglik. Walnut or poppy seed is dios beigli or makos beigli, orechovnik or makovník, kutchen or mohnkutchen. Polish strucla orzechami walnut strudel, poppy seed is makowiec. Croatian, Serbian, Yugoslavian povitica, orehnjaca, orahnjaca, orehnaca, orevnitza, or poppy seed is makovnjaca. Slovenian slovenska potica, Italian gubana. German nussstrudel nut strudel. Some variations bake them in bread loaf pans, some flat in the shape of a wheel. Nut Roll is a popular Americanized term. Kolache is a popular Czech pastry, round, topped with sweet and savory fillings. No matter what you call them, we hope our rolls can fulfill your holiday baked good traditions, and bring back some sweet memories!
[New Orleans, LA ::: b. 1952 - Queens, NY] BIO : TONY DAGRADI is an internationally recognized jazz performer, artist, composer, author and educator. For over three decades he has made his home in New Orleans, performing on tenor and soprano saxophone with many of the Crescent City's most celebrated artists. Since 2015, Tony has been exploring the visual possibilities of altered books. Choosing vintage and antiquarian texts, he carefully cuts through one page at a time to reveal existing images in a three dimensional collage or sculpture. The results allow the contents and imagery of long outdated material to be viewed in a manner that is both exciting and thought provoking. ARTIST STATEMENT: As I begin a piece, I examine each book to get a feel for the content and, to a lesser degree, the placement of that content. Moving forward, I have several stategies which will allow me to expose images, ultimately bringing them together in a unifified composition. In my first method of choice, I seal the edges of the book and begin cutting page by page, removing everything but the images that appeal to me. This can be very exciting as I never know what will appear next or how it will compliment the piece as a whole. In my mind, it is very similar to improvising with a jazz ensemble. Inevitably, during every performance each player interjects his or her own commentary. No two performances are ever the same and everyone must react to what is happening at the moment. Similary, as I cut through the pages of a book, I must react to whatever appears, choosing to keep or reject what presents itself. If continued to it's logical conclusion, all of the material is exactly where it has always been, but now can be viewed in a totally different way. Another approach I take is selecting images from a book and placing them as I please to more finely control the composition. From a viewer's point of view, the end result is almost identical to that of the pure excavation process. Most of the pieces in my "Jazz" series and "Fantasy" series are assembled in this manner. When a piece is completed, I coat exposed surface with an acrylic lacquer. This treatment adds a certain rigidity to the paper sculpture and serves to protect it from air and dust.

Brand New to HRJ and hopefully the first of a few- introducing the handmade miniature Tic Tac Toe board game to the established jewellery collection! Taking inspiration from some of my popular 3D jewellery charms and pieces, this new adaptation I have made using the same polymer clay as the jewellery, but creating flat back pieces, to use for the classic game of Tic Tac Toe, or Noughts and Crosses! All you need to do is select your theme of playing pieces! The kit includes 5 pieces of each style/colour, so 10 pieces in total to play a game, along with a hessian drawstring bag with the grid hand drawn on it to play! Keep all of your pieces safe inside too! It's also great for travelling and to take on holiday, as it is so lightweight and folds down easily to pack! Or why not message to create your own totally unique version and request what pieces or colours you have for your own set! A great idea for a stocking filler gift! As products are all handmade, they may differ slightly from pictured – however this is usually unnoticeable. Please note: None of the pieces are edible and I would recommend they are not given to children under 5 as they may not understand this. Please see THE FOOD IMITATION (SAFETY) REGULATIONS 1989 act for more information Price is for one 'set' - pictured are all styles - please select your option from the variations list. PLEASE NOTE: KITS TAKE 3-5 DAYS TO MAKE AND POST AS THEY ARE MADE TO ORDER Read more

With so many possibilities, there are some guidelines that may influence your choices such as colors, styles, and options. Traditionally, shutters were purely functional in nature, before screens and even paned windows, so protection from t…
