For my example I have used papers from Simple Stories "Summer Fresh" and MME "Miss Caroline" collections. For close ups and details, visit my blog HERE. How cool is this page from Tami. I just love the colors she used and the Disney history of the page. Learn more and see details at Tami's Blog HERE. Merrick sent me a great holiday page using this sketch. She used another sketch for page two - check it out here on her blog. Thanks Merrick!

I have been a little distracted over the past few weeks preparing a presentation for the Creative Memories Leadership Summit, an Ideas Extravaganza and the Aus/NZ Virtual Crop event - busy, busy, busy but I wouldn't have it any other way! I love what I do! Some of the ideas I can't share with you because the products used to create them have not yet been released....so in the meantime I thought I would share some of the sketches used in the Virtual Crop. If you use them to created scrapbook layouts I would love it if you would share your creations on my Facebook Page - while I appreciate all the lovely emails of thanks you send me for sharing, I would so appreciate seeing what you do with the sketches. These are the sketches I shared this weekend during the Virtual Crop - there are 4 sketches in this series and the fourth one is based on a combination of the design elements from the first 3. There is also a Multi-Photo and Single- Photo version of Sketch#4 This digital heritage layout was created using Sketch#3 and a new digital kit to be released on the 1st March - make sure you ask your Creative Memories Consultant about this one - it is gorgeous!! and this layout was based on Sketch #4 and also uses that gorgeous new digital kit coming your way soon!! Enjoy the sketches and don't forget t show me what you create with them!
When Jill at A Million Little Things asked if I would join them for the month of November and provide a sketch for their Sketch Challenge I was THRILLED!!! I have been shopping at A Million Little Things for years. She *always* has the latest-and-greatest up on her site the minute it is available. It's the perfect place to find what you need! On the A Million Little Things blog, Jill asked me a few spotlight questions. If you'd like to see that you can CLICK HERE. :) You can also see the sketch I provided for the month. The deadline is in TWO WEEKS, November 27th. So there is plenty of time to play for a chance at one of Jill's FABULOUS prizes. I created three layouts based on the sketch (rotating it in different directions). These pages feature a mix of manufacturers: Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry), Sassafras Lass, Prima, Hambly, October Afternoon Letter stickers, and a flower by Bella Blvd. TEA PARTY - All Maryn could talk about this year was having a "fancy" tea party with her friends. It was such a fun day and the girls were so cute and "proper." GOOFY - Jensyn loves to pull silly faces when I'm trying to take a picture of her. I don't think this stage is going to end anytime soon! LOL! YOU - One morning I walked into my bedroom to find Camryn snoozing on a pillow. It was so cute because before she fell asleep she made little pillow-bed for each of her stuffed animals. So sweet! :) Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! Jana
Hello there! I created a brand new template today which is very much "graphic" with fun circles which I love!! I wanted a fun page where I could have the photos really stand out with a graphic feel to it. Here is a preview to the digital template! Here is a link to the digital layered template. First review how to use clipping masks here if you need to. http://www.4shared.com/photo/jaWoPZbY/pc_graphic_circlescurves_templ.html Lastly, here is an example of a traditional page I created with it. You can use it as a sketch to make your paper layouts! :) I hope you enjoy this template!!

Since I haven't posted new layouts in awhile, I have decided to make some sketches from some of my older layouts. I had a friend of mine pick a few that she would like to see and I will share them with you this week. Here is the first one, a really fun sketch, but I just realized that you are getting alot of sketches with portrait oriented photos, so I will try to give you a couple with landscape orientation next. :) Have fun and be sure to link me to your layouts! Joni sent me this frosty layout example. I just love the papers she used. Visit Joni's blog HERE. Tami created another one of her great two pagers from this one page sketch. Sometimes she uses the same sketch design twice and maybe turns one of the pages, but this time she actually stretched the design and I love the result! You must visit Tami's blog here for close ups and details, check out her fabric die cut embellishments up close. My friend, Laurie, sent me her example of this sketch and I think its just totally fun. I dare you not to sing along! If you visit Laurie's blog here you can see close ups as well as a video of this song. :) Sabrina was sweet enought to send me a link to her layout for this sketch. It's really so cute. Visit Sabrina's blog here to see close ups and some of her other pages. Merrick sent this totally summery version and just look at the size of that Hawaiian Ice! I want one now.
It’s so awesome that we’re able to scrapbook with all of you, regardless of where you are in the world! Let’s keep the creativity going — here’s Challenge #4!
Hi everyone!!! Hope you had a happy Halloween, for those who celebrated. Both of my boys wanted to be vampires for Halloween. I told them only if I could may them sparkle. :) They even both had Seattle shirts so they wore those too. I thought it was funny. I tried to convince Hayden to wear jeans and go shirtless, and we'd put some spray-on tan on him and call him Jacob, but he wouldn't go for it. :) And then Eryn was a cute little mouse. The costume was mine when I was a kid, for a church musical I was in. The ears have seen better days, the wire part wouldn't really work much anymore. But it didn't bother Eryn. And just for fun: It was a good night. Well until my car died and left us a bit stranded. But I am thankful we had people who could help in this situation. Anyways... Well it time for a new sketch challenge!! You ready? If you are new to my sketches, here's how it works: I essentially create three versions of one sketch each time. There will be one 12x12 scrapbook sketch, one double page sketch (12x24), and one card sketch (A4). This makes it easier for all types of crafters to participate. :) Of course, there will be prizes. So for today's sketches: Sketch 226a--12x12 layout Sketch 226b--2 page layout Sketch 226c--card (A4) And now for the prize up for grabs... That is THREE full collections: * The Silver Valley collection from SEI * The Summer City collection from The ScrapCake * The Sweet Childhood collection from The ScrapCake THE RULES: * Your project must be newly made for this challenge, and then linked below. * You can use the sketches for any type of project, not just scrapbook pages or cards. * Please post which sketch you used with your project. * Feel free to combine with other challenges. :) * You can enter as many times as you like. AND FOR BONUS ENTRIES: * Check out my sketchbook here. Pick a favorite sketch and use it for an additional project. You can do this as many times as you'd like. These must be newly made for this challenge too. DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, NOV 15TH. I hope you play along!! :) Have a fantastic day! I will be back tomorrow to announce the winner of the last sketch challenge. LINK UP HERE!!!

... I have been receiving some lovely messages from my papercraft friends, enquiring about my whereabouts and since it has been a couple of months since I last posted on this blog, I thought it about time I answer that question. I have still been crafting but busy touring the country sharing my ideas and designs with Creative Memories Consultants and in a 6 week time frame I was in 3 different states visiting Darwin, Adelaide and Perth - WOW!! what a journey... I got to meet 100's of ladies preserving their special photos in gorgeous memory books....and this past weekend I helped host a Virtual Crop - it was an event planned in less than 2 weeks and we had over 2000 scrapbookers play along with us....it was heaps of fun and the beautiful layouts shared were absolutely amazing. I designed 6 of my formula sketches for some of the online challenges and I was overwhelmed by the response to them - our participants adapted them in more ways than even I, thought possible....simply stunning work. I have had requests to continue to share them so I thought the easiest way to do that was via my blog - so here they are for you to enjoy!
TGIF!! I don't know about you all but I plan on spending some time scrapping this weekend and this sketch by our Guest Sketch Designer for the month, Michelle Gallant is the perfect way to get the creative juices flowing. But before we get to the sketch here is a little about our talented Michelle... 1. My name is Michelle Gallant and I live in NB Canada with my hubby and 2 kids. 7 years ago I went to a scrapbooking class with a friend and I was instantly hooked! With 2 hockey playing kids my life is pretty busy so I try to scrap whenever I can, even on my lunch hour sometimes! lol 2. I like to scrap in a clean and organized area so I clean up after every LO. I have no idea what my style is, I like to try a lot of different techniques but I don't like to get my hands dirty. 3. Sketch making is new to me, I like to create my sketches from a LO I've already created. 4. My favorite things in scrapbooking right now are: triangles, black outlining/doodling, white backgrounds, gold and layering. Here is Michelle's sketch, Sketch #94 and the design teams take on it. Jenessa Lisa Michelle Missy Tracy F Wendi Now, here is what you can win just for sharing your take on this super fun sketch! The Fancy Pants Everyday Circus collection. All the papers, 12x12 sticker sheet, 6x12 alpha stickers, brag cards, toppers, and large tags. WOW, now that's a prize! Don't forget to link up your pages in the November Link Up area in the sidebar. You have until midnight Nov. 30th EST to upload your pages for a chance to win this months awesome prize. We would also love to see your pages added to our Flickr Gallery!
