I've been meaning to scrap this photo of my husband, taken in August, for some time now. And finally I've discovered a sketch that seems right. It's from Boys' Rule and is from their September challenge. This is such an amusing photo and really typifies an Englishman on holiday. He just hates getting sand on him and spent the whole morning sitting on the wall watching the rest of us scrabbling and paddling. I replaced the stars with cogs - can't you just see his brain cogs whirring? So funny! I actually stitched the dotted lines from the sketch and added a bit of stamped grunge to help the flow of the eye across the page. I think the only thing I really altered from the sketch are the horizontal banners which I kept straight as this seemed to balance the large photo better. This "Chillingsworth Manor" collection from Echo Park is one if my fave treats for sure. I scrapped this photo of my son's pumpkin carving skills, using alot of the awesome papers, tags, and stickers. The awesome thick grey and white bakers twine is from May Arts. I also used a hem stitch here and there to sort of add a bit of embellishment, because I thought it looked kind of spikey - so lets discuss stitching on layouts. This sketch has lots of space for photos, it can be used for scrapping with pocket page type cards, and I have included 5 spots for square photos in case you need to scrap some of those instagram photos you have been taking :) For my example I have used MME Collectable collection papers and some Simple Stories Say Cheese stickers.
