Good Day Crafty Friends Welcome to a special Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. We are super excited to be able to bring you a Hop full of fabulous creations using items that are available during the 2020 Sale-A-Bration Promotion. Sale-A-Bration pre-earn is finally here! If you are a Demonstrator, pre-earn/pre-order is an exclusive benefit that allows Demonstrators to obtain product early - from 3 December 2019 to 2 January 2020! This means that demonstrators can earn items in the Sale-A-Bration Shop offering early. For every $90 AUD/$110 NZD or $180 AUD/$220 NZD you spend, you choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure that matches the level you spent. Demonstrators can even use the pre-order of the January–June mini catalogue and purchase items from that catalogue or any other current catalogue, and earn free Sale-A-Bration products! If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning 3 January 2020! One of the stamp sets that can be earned FREE with any $90AUD purchase during Sale-A-Bration is "The Gang's All Meer" Stamp Set", which I had the pleasure of working with for today's Blog Hop. Let me show you how to create the "shadow effect" that is the focal point of my card. Gather the supplies: Stamp Set of choice, Shimmery White Card, Inks you wish to use for your sunset colours, sponges and a Black Stampin' Write marker. Start by punching a circle from a Post It Note and place it onto centre of the Shimmery White Card. Sponge sunset colours - Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo. Once you have the sponged the sunset, remove the Post It note and then stamp chosen image, ensuring a portion appears in the "sun" area. Now, take a Black Stampin' Write marker and fill in the stamped image. I used the brush tip to fill the main portion of the image and then the fine tip to trace the edges of the stamped image. Using the brush tip end of the marker, I have coloured the base of the card front and then stamped the Palm tree image from the new Timeless Tropical stamp set. Need more inspiration with the uber cute Meerkats? Here are two creations I previously shared on Instagram. Using the Cacti, Lizard and Party Hat stamps, I have stamped and coloured the images on a piece of Whisper White card and then die cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies along with the Granny Apple Green card behind. The Meerkat Gang has been stamped in Memento, colouring using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut. The "Happy Birthday" greeting was created using the Well Said Stamp Set, white heat embossing the two sentiments onto Black card. For the next card I created a sunset sponged background, stamped it with the "gang of Meerkats" and inserted it behind a "photo frame" made from Whisper White card that has been embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder. The Meerkat images were coloured with Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and adhered with mini dimensionals over the stamped image inside the frame. I couldn't resist adding the line of lizards along the bottom of the photo frame which were also coloured with Blends, fussy cut and adhered with mini dimensionals. That is all from me today. Up next in this months Blog Hop is my super talented friend, Jennifer Picard with her stunning project which I am sure you will totally love. Yay, the Artisan Design Team are hopping today with projects created using products from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure. The Sale-A-Bration pre-earn period is finally here - from 3 December 2019 to 2 January 2020! This means that demonstrators can earn items in the Sale-A-Bration Shop offering early. For every $110 you spend, you choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure that matches the level you spent. Demonstrators can even use the pre-order of the January-June mini catalogue and purchase items from that catalogue or any other current catalogue, and earn free Sale-A-Bration products! If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning 3 January 2020! This is just one of the many fabulous perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. How cute is this Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set? And of course, it gets better! There are co-ordinating Lily Pad Dies! The lilies on both these cards have been embossed with White Emboss Powder, heat set and water coloured. The background on the right card has been created by using one of the die cuts from the set as a mask with Emboss Paste and then splattered with Champagne Mist. This stamp set has the added bonus of being a "Reversibles" so the outline image can be stamped first, turned over and stamped again to colour in the image. So versatile as it caters for those who love to colour in and those that don't! The background has been created by embossing "Celebrate" from the Happy Birthday to You Sale-A-Bration set and adding a water colour wash over it. I also used the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend on the lines of the Lily to add a little more depth once I had stamped it. Stampin' Blends have been used to colour the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon too so it co-ordinates with my cards. The Sequins are from the Peaceful Poppies Suite and before I adhered them with glue I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to create a little black dot. This made placement easy and I like the look of the sequins being filled in! This pre-order/pre-earn opportunity is an exclusive benefit for demonstrators to enable them to get products early so they are prepared when Sale-A-Bration starts on 3 January. Next up is my fabulous friend Ashley van Camp, her cards are gorgeous! Please keep hopping along and check out all the stunning projects created by the rest of the team - here's a little sneak peek to whet your appetite! If you live in New Zealand and would like to become a Demonstrator I would love you to join Stampin' Up! and become part of my Stamping Beauties team. Well, hello peaches! Welcome to the Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Are you excited for Sale-A-Bration?! Sale-A-Bration pre-earn is finally here from December 3, 2019 to January 2, 2020! This means that demonstrators can earn items in the Sale-A-Bration Shop offering early. For every $50 USD/$60 CAD or $100 USD/$120 CAD you spend, you choose a free item from the Sale-A-Braton brochure that matches the level you spent. Demonstrators can even use the preorder of the January–June mini catalog and purchase items from that catalog or any other current catalog, and earn free Sale-A-Bration products! If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning January 3, 2020! Each of the team's designers were assigned different Sale-A-Bration products so make sure you hop all the way through to see all of the amazing new products coming your way! You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just adore what she has created! I get to showcase the Lovely Lilly Pad Stamp Set (#152288). This is one of those fun "Reversibles" Stamp Sets. Which means this set is uniquely designed so that both sides of the photopolymer stamp can be used, One side creates the lines and detail; while the other fills in the image. However, with this set, the images are not symmetrical and will not line up perfectly, but that makes the result very artsy, I think. There are so many possibilities! For my first card, I wanted to show you how you can use the reversed side of the stamp to create a background. It's very simple. Here's how you do it: First, I like to stamp the detailed side of the stamp first, because that makes it easier to see where i will be placing the filled in part of the image. Next (after you clean the inked up side you just used), you simply flip the stamp over to the other side and place it firmly on your clear block. Then ink up as you usually would and stamp. I first stamped off onto scratch paper so that my "filler" image would be a shade lighter. You can see for my sample, I used the wavy watery image to create a soft patterned background using Petal Pink Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock (below). You will notice that my flower image looks filled in. If the offset look of this reversible stamp bothers you, you can simply use a Sponge Dauber to fill in any uninked areas. Here's a closeup of the effect: I made a smaller 3x3 coordinating note card as well: For my next card, I used that gorgeous Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper to layer behind my flower image. I used So Saffron Ink to stamp the lily pad image onto my background. I love creating my own patterned paper this way. It's very simple and doesn't require many supplies-just ink, stamps, and paper! Here's a close up of the finished card: These Sale-A-Bration products were so fun and inspiring and I had a blast using them. Don't forget that this preorder/pre-earn period is an exclusive benefit for demonstrators. You will want to get your hands on these products earlier, so you are ready to share with your customers when it goes live. Tonight I have made 5 cards for you. I had made 3 then just kept going I was having so much fun making cards. It has been a particularly tough week with the death of my cousin and then my niece lost her baby so I just needed to make some cards. The first card I used a masking technique. I am using the Happy Birthday to you and Sending You thoughts for this card. For this card I stamped the Birthday Cake with the flowers onto a post it note so I could cut them out to use as a mask. I placed the flowers and the base of the cake in place took off the flowers left the cake base in place, inked up the flowers trying to only ink the flowers as much as possible with memento ink and then stamped the flowers. Cleaned the stamp re-positioned the stamp placed the flowers where the stamp was going to be stamped to make sure that the cake base would be in the correct place then placed the flower post it over the previously stamped image before stamping the flower image again. I just wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally stamp where I didn't want to. I continued to do this down the whole strip that I wanted to make I then used my blender pen to pick up some ink from the lid of my ink pads, Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Old Olive and Night of Navy to colour the panel. I cut out the peek-a-boo panel in Petal Pink and then in Whisper White. I really liked the pared down simple version of this one but as you can see when I stamped the sentiment on the front when I went to adhere it to the Petal Pink layer I had not waited quite long enough for the ink to dry and I hadn't noticed before I had it in place so I stepped the sentiment up a little. The next 2 cards I made was using the Power of Hope Bundle. I just had to have this set from Sale-a-bration brochure as my daughter and I visited Japan in March last year and we had such a good time. For this card I have 3 layers and stamped the lanterns in Stazon ink and then used the light and dark Real red Stampin' Blends to colour them in. The middle layer of trees I used soft suede ink, the same colour as the card stock layers in between the whisper white layers but stamped off once to give it a slightly lighter tone. For the dress I have used a number of different shades of Stampin' Blends and then blended them with the Petal Pink. I think it worked out quite well. The sentiment from the stamp set I have heat embossed in white. For the second card using the Power of hope bundle I used the the Stone 3D embossing folder as part of the layout in my card on the Petal pink cardstock and again I used the Stampin' Blends on the dress. I just love the little lantern on the edge of the card and this would be a great card to give to someone starting a new job or going off to a new year at school. The designer series paper is Also from the Sale-a-bration brochure and has a gorgeous gold foil thread through it to add a little bling and extra something special to the card. It is called the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. My next 2 cards I have used the sentiments from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in the New Mini catalogue and the Peaceful Poppies suite in combination with some of the Sale-a-bration products. For this card I first used the painted labels dies from Mini catalogue to cut out the swirls circle and then stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful moment in the middle in Saddle Brown stazon. On the layer of Whisper white card that I had cut out the swirl circle I then put it through the smbossing machine with the Stone 3D folder from the Power of Hope bundle from the Sale-a-bration brochure. The green that you can see behind is also gorgeous DSP from the Sale-a-bration brochure - Lily impressions DSP. I have then put the sentiment back over the circle that I created earlier to let the green show through. I then used the beautiful cherry blossom flowers from the Parisian Blossom suite and dies to add a soft touch to the card. I stamped these also in saddle brown stazon before cutting them out with the dies and colouring them with the Stampin blends. To add a little bling I have used the champagne rhinestones in the centre of each blossom. For my last card tonight I have used the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer series Paper for the star of this card. One of my favourite colours is Blackberry bliss so I wanted to use this colour for one of my cards to send to a friend who has just lost her husband and who also loves gardening so I thought the flower would work for this card as well. The DSP is just beautiful and bother the layers are part of this gorgeous paper and I have offset it with gold foil before the sentiment from the Peaceful moments and cutting it out with the painted labels die. Underneath that I have used rose metalic thread. The flower is stamped in memento in and punched out using the perennial flower punch and coloured in with Blackberry bliss Stampin' Blends and topped off with perennial essence floral centers. I hope you have liked these variety of cards that you can make from the offering Sale-a-bration products. If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning 3 January 2020! We've got so many projects to show you and you'll want to get all the 2020 Sale-a-bration offerings! I've got two cards for you today using the Happy Birthday to You Sale-a-bration stamp set. Spend $90 AUD, between 3rd Jan - 31 March 2020, and you can get this gorgeous cake stamp set for FREE. It's all pretty and florally and all round gorgeous. I've used all the same products on both cards but changed up the layout and have shown how you can use just some of the flowers that are on the beautiful cake. I just love to colour on coloured cardstock but sometimes when you try to do this with the ink colour straight onto the cardstock the ink colour changes and even gets a little lost into the cardstock background. The best way to colour onto coloured cardstock is to cover your image first with a Whisper White Craft Ink 'undercoat' layer and then add your chosen colour over top. Check out my Instagram Step-By-Step Tip HERE on how you can achieve this different look. I first embossed the image with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and then 'white washed' the image with Whisper White Craft Ink and an Aqua Painter. I left the actual 'cake' part of the image white to make it look like it is covered in 'fondant' icing and then used Gorgeous Grape, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, for the flowers, and Crumb Cake for the cake stand base. For some added layering and dimension I fussy cut some of the flowers that I had heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Vellum and then layered them behind the flowers in the main image. Pretty!! For my second card using this gorgeous set, I've made it a bit more intricate and avid by only using the flowers from the cake image. I stamped and heat embossed 4 of the cake images and then using the same colouring technique as the first card I coloured in the flowers. Once coloured in I then fussy cut them out and then arranged them on the card as an accent to the rectangle sentiment panel. How gorgeous do the flowers look with the Crumb Cake colour underneath and then the pretty colour on top? This set is perfect for those that love to colour, like me, and can be used with any colouring medium. Why not try colouring the cake with Stampin' Blends or Watercolouring to really change up the look. You'll be surprised at each different look with each different colouring medium. Just a reminder that pre-order/pre-earn is an exclusive benefit for demonstrators to get their hands on products earlier, so they are ready to go for the launch of the fabulous Sale-a-bration promotion. If you want to get your hands on prouct earlier than everyone else why not join up. You've got nothing to loose. Just ask me how or join up HERE with me! Here's a look at the entire Best Dressed Suite of products: Here is a look at one of the 2nd release Sale-A-Bration products that I will be showcasing in my projects today: For my first card today, I used some Mint Macaron Cardstock for my base and roughed up the edges, to give this card a, sort of, leather and lace look. With all of the feminine features, I liked the idea of adding that extra texture to break up the softness. I stamped one of the stylish heals and colored it with Pretty Peacock Blends. I also used one of the floral images from the set to stamp a subtle background in Mint Macaron Ink around where my cluster would be. I used the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper for a slight border for my card. I also used the DSP to fussy cut a lovely little flower bunch to ground my shoe and sentiment. I added a few ink splatters in Mint Macaron and some sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. Here's a close-up of the finished card: For my final card, I wanted to create a lot of texture for my background, so I used one of the stitched dies from the All Dressed Up Dies to create a dynamic stitched background. I used Tags In Bloom Stamp Set, which coordinates with both the Label Me Lovely Punch and the Label Me Fancy Punch, for my main sentiment and focal piece. I added a few floral images from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set that I colored with my Purple Posy Blends. To finish it off with flare, I added a sweet little tassel from the Best Dressed Tassels. It was so much fun and effortless combining these fabulous products. Sale-A-Bration is the best time of year! Do you like mixing up a card design after you've made a card? I often like to use the same elements to create a different look. Let me show you what I mean. Remember this card I shared, using the Sale-a-bration Blossoming Basket stamp set. Well, after I made it with my SU team, I felt like playing around with the same pieces to create a couple of different looks - each with different levels of fussy cutting too. Some people love to fussy cut & some really loathe it so it's good to be able to have different options. No Fuss So I started my mix-up with a no fussy cutting version using the same card pieces. I embossed the pool party card with the Sale-a-bration Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder that's teamed with Blossoming Basket. Partially cutting the pretty Blossoming Basket image with the largest square die in the Stitched Shapes die set gives you a fast & gorgeous look with no fussy cutting. Yay! Again, this idea was inspired by these cards made by the fabulous Emma Godddard. I changed up the blossoms colours using calypso coral Stampin' Blends markers, plus the original old olive & crumb cake Blends. I backed the image with a square of pear pizzazz card & sweet doily. It looks so pretty sitting over the card edge. I couldn't resist adding a fussy cut butterfly too. Fussy Lavender This card fits the bill for those who love fussy cutting or lavender. Doesn't that basket of lavender look so beautiful? The brilliant idea to use the Sale-a-bration Lots of Lavender stamp set with Blossoming Basket also came from Emma Godddard's cards. I changed up the ribbon colours for this version, substituting lemon lime twist ombre ribbon & fresh fig ribbon. I love how fresh it looks. To make the lavender basket: - Stamp the whole Blossoming Basket image - no need to mask off the flowers. - Colour in the basket, then make a long horizontal slit just under the blossoms. - Stamp three lavender images & colour with rich razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut them out. - Slip the lavender into the slit, position them as you like and secure with adhesive - dimensionals. You may want to cut off some of the leaf sprigs so each lavender looks a little different. You can watch Emma's fb live video if you'd like to see this process visually. Thanks so much Emma for sharing this fabulous idea. So, which one's your favourite? Leave me a comment to let me know which one you'd like to make more & pin them for later inspiration too. You can see all my other Blossoming Basket projects here. Thanks for visiting today. I hope you come back again soon for more ideas. Inky wishes, Di Remember - the Blossoming Basket bundle & Lots of Lavender stamps are only available until 31 March when Sale-a-bration ends. Hi! Welcome to the new Art With Heart Monthly Creative Showcase! This month the Art With Heart Team are featuring Monochromatic cards, that is cards that only use different shades of the same colour. This is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the wonderful range of Stampin’ Up! colours across our inks, papers and embellishments that can be combined to produce the amazing monochromatic samples we have to share with you. I actually found it quite difficult to narrow down which colour I was going to use! There are so many fabulous colours to choose from in Stampin' Up!'s colour families. In the end I went with Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, mostly because of this sheet of DSP in the Lily Impressions pack - why have I not played with this paper sooner??? I love how it looks like paint smeared on a canvas, and best of all, it is free with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration! I stamped the lady and lanterns from Power Of Hope in Memento ink and coloured them with my Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Stampin' Blends. I didn't colour the lanterns or umbrella much - just a quick swipe of Light Pool Part in key places. I used another Sale-A-Bration freebie to decorate the card - some Bermuda Bay sequins from the Metallic Baker's Twine and Sequins Combo Pack. The sentiment is from Label Me Bold, stamped in Bermuda Bay. In order to get the white streaks in the DSP in the spot I wanted on my card, I had to crop a wide strip from the DSP first. Waste not, want not, I used it on the inside of my card! It's wider than I'd usually crop the paper, so I chose not to add a sentiment to leave enough room for writing. That's all from me, now you're off to see what the wonderful Kate Morgan has made. What colour has she chosen? We don't see each other's cards until we do the hop, so it's a surprise for us too! Bye for now, Tina If you have a broken link or have come to this blog hop midway, you can view all the participants below: Rebecca Jacovou Tina Gillespie Kate Morgan Sharon Davern Vicki Boucher Catherine Proctor Rachel Woollard Andrea Sargent Caroline Manwaring Claire Daly Michele Taylor

I saw this adorable little card on Pinterest and just had to case it. The original owner of this card and video on how to make it can be found here. This talented lady lives in Belle Chase New Orleans just like on NCIS New Orleans. So her website is NOLA Creations. This is a tri-fold card using the new Little Ladybug stamp set that is a host gift in the new Sale A Bration set coming out this Friday January 3rd. So since it is a host set it is available with a $300 purchase only. You can spend that yourself or get some friends together to place an order together. If you would like to do that I would be happy to put together a kit for everyone to make this card at the get together. It was a fun card to make. I am going to be making another one today with some different stamps. I have a friend who like pigs so I am making a whole set of little piggy cards for her and need to finish that up today. So those will be coming soon! Happy Stamping! Stamper Gyrl!

Welcome to the ICS January Blog Hop as we celebrate the New Year with the new 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as we share projects created with a variety of products you can earn Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration, which runs from January 3rd to March 31st, 2020. For my card design, I chose to use the beautiful Power of Hope Bundle (item #152318) to create this pretty card. I love that this bundle has a versatile stamp set and a wonderfully textured embossing folder. For this card, I chose to focus on just the stamp set but you can see the texture of the Stone 3D embossing folder that I used in this post to create a completely different type of card. I love the Oriental feel to this stamp set and I was able to use several of the images as well as one of the sentiments to create this card design. I started with a Purple Posy card base and added a layer of Thick Whisper White to create the background design for this card. I used one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638) to cut an opening in the Thick Whisper White cardstock and I used the label shape for the focal design. To create the background, I stamped the tree image randomly all over the Thick Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I them used Sponge Daubers to apply Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink Classic ink to create a soft background. I love the way the embossed gold trees create a delicate filigree look to the background. For the focal image, I stamped the Geisha image using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the background. I colored the image and ground using Stampin' Blends Markers. To create the soft sky, I lightly sponged the Whisper White cardstock with Petal Pink Classic ink using a Sponge Dauber. To assemble the card, I attached the focal image to the card base using Snail Adhesive, making sure it lines up inside the opening of the background layer. Next, I attached the background layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals, carefully lining it up over the focal image. To create the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder onto Purple Posy cardstock and die cut it with one of the smaller dies from the Ornate Frames Dies (item #150664) to create the label. I attached the label to the background with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins (item #151325), that can be found in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog, using Mini Glue Dots to attach them to the background of the card. There are so many wonderful possibilities available with this amazing bundle that you can earn Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration, which starts January 3rd and ends March 31st. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to create your own beautiful projects with these exclusive new products.
