Ty's party is getting closer and closer and to make the parents more comfortable with the specific details of the WHERE, WHAT, WHEN, I created a party itinerary for them. I am pretty excited about it. Don't be too impressed by my FortNite knowledge. I had to research FortNite to learn all of the correct terms and verbiage. LOL! I am either going to be the coolest parent in the world or the cheesiest parent in the world. I accept either or... Haha. If Ty chooses cheesy, then I know really, deep down inside, he thinks I am the coolest mom E-V-E-R. LOL! I know this party theme is going to be CRAZY POPULAR, just a fast as I can SNEEZE, so I created a semi-blank, party itinerary for ALL to use for their own FORTNITE party! Click here to print and fill in the blanks. Be sure to give me a shout out or let me know that you used it. I enjoy seeing my creativity be used by others.

We had a party. It was a success...or good enough anyway (never does go exactly as planned). The kid was happy. I'm happy to have it over with. Here's how it went down. First we invited a few people... The people came... We had a little CaKe... I decided to get brave and attempt making the cake myself this year. And after a lot of consulting with others and a bit of stress involved...we had cake. ...and CuPCaKes I nearly poisoned a few children with the red frosting. I had to use a LOT of red food coloring to actually get RED. Wasn't really thinking about how they might taste. Always choosing fashion over function...oops! And a little CandY... ...PoP cOrN...PeaNutS... ...CiRCuS PeaNutS... Then we played some GaMEs... SpiLLed the MiLk... ToSseD BeaN baGs aT the CLoWN... FisHed the PoNd... ToSsed the RiNGs... Had a CLoWn ReLaY... RaCed the DuCKs... Got DuNked in the TaNk... Won PriZes and FaVOrs... We had everything a clown could need, bow ties, red noses, BiG sunglasses, BiG flowers, whoopee cusions, trick cameras and gum (the spraying kind), a few noise makers and of course gold fish (yes, real ones)... I made a few flowers for the older girls and adults that helped. THANK YOU ALL!! Missed a few of the deCoRAtiONs... I didn't get much of the decorations up due to the hurricane force winds we had. That's right, we had a party in the wind :P Had a little of this... But I did manage to get my pennant banners up (and they even stayed up). I didn't get tables decorated as you can see above. A lot of the decor stayed in the house and didn't get used : ( Guess that just means we'll have to have another carnival : ) ...that is if the RinGmASteR allows it. What can I say, I'm one lucky girl to have this guy who puts up with me. Here he is after the circus (and I mean it literally!) sopping wet (from being dunked in the dunk tank), covered in frosting (from kids faces) managing to put a smile on his face so that I can get a picture of his shirt. What a guy! And that was that. We had a party. Now I can put these feet up (for a couple of months anyway) and rest for a bit. One more year, one more party down.

Last weekend my baby turned ONE year old! We threw a little party for him on Sunday, just for close family and friends. I'm not sure what made me decide on a rubber duck theme - it just came to my mind one day and seemed perfect. It turned out to be a really good choice, because it is so easy to make rubber ducky-themed decorations and food! Here are all the details: Food -Rubber Ducky Cake. My sister is into cake decorating, and she made this adorable cake for Clyde's party! I thought it turned out perfectly, and it really was the centerpiece for the theme/decorations! -Smash cake. Also my sister. It was the cutest little cake! -Pudding cups. I just bought clear plastic cups, made six boxes of Jello pudding, and dyed them blue, then stuck a rubber duck on top. -Cookies. I used Pillsbury's Blue Raspberry cookie mix and frosting, which I bought at Walmart. Then I burned an entire batch, so I made my own blue raspberry jello cookies using this recipe. -Punch. I mixed one bottle of Welch's Chillers Blue Raspberry drink with two bottles of lemon-lime pop. I added a packet of blue raspberry Koolaid mix, just to intensify the color. Then I three some rubber duckies in on top! -Popcorn. I used blue raspberry jello and this recipe to make the jello popcorn. -Sandwiches. Just tuna fish, cut with a rubber ducky cookie cutter. Decorations -Picture banner. I printed out the monthly pictures of Clyde that I have been taking and hung them with baker's twine and mini clothespins. -Rubber duck banner. I used scrapbook paper and the rubber ducky cookie cutter as a stencil. -Chalkboard. Made at one of our MOPS meetings this year! It even matched my color scheme. -Paper fans, balloons, streamers. Bought them on Amazon - they have so many color choices! Other Details -Water bottles. I used scrapbook paper and washi tape to match them to the party color scheme. -Bow tie. I made that bow tie for Clyde, and I also made a matching bow tie for Wyatt and hair bow for Gwen. They turned out so cute! There are whales on them, not ducks, but it matched the colors (and whales…water…ducks - it works right?). -Ten Little Rubber Ducks book. This is the book on which I based our party color scheme (royal blue, teal, yellow). I got a copy for Clyde and had all our party guests write birthday messages inside! I am really happy that the rubber ducky theme randomly came to mind, because it was simple and easy to pull off! It took a little while to make the food, but that was the hardest part - the decorations came together really easily. This was an inexpensive theme to work with, and it turned out really cute! If you want to share, here is the pinnable image! Wow! My second child is now eight... how the years scream by, yes? Simple, small party... just a few friends at one of those "Bounce House" places... we've done one there before. Couldn't decide what to do for the cake. We didn't really have a 'theme' for the party. So he just decided on a character from one of his favorite video games... SackBoy from Little Big Planet. (those circles at the top are where the candles will go) Oh no, but it didn't start off this pretty :-) Baked up a nice marble cake, split and filled it with chocolate buttercream... and then just HAD to take a potty break. Come back to find this: THE DOG ATE THE CAKE!!!!! Oh my heart just sank. I guess it was better now than after it was frosted, right? So I put the dog outside and cut out the corner of the cake (is that wrong? Would you have still used the un-eaten part?) I really had no choice... this all happened about 10 in the AM and the party was at 1:00. And filled it in with a half-a-chocolate-cake-mix-baked-real-quick-in-a-loaf-pan. This corner was not pretty marble... did not have filling... so I was actually hoping we wouldn't have to cut into it at the party. Everything turned out well... no one was the wiser :-) (until I showed them these pictures anyway). Dean absolutely LOVED this big slide... He probably climbed these stairs 30 times: Blake playing with friends: It turned into a money birthday, too. I guess maybe 8 year old boys are hard to buy for??? He ended up getting well over $100 in birthday money. Happy Birthday Bud! Love you!
