Description A dress for the doyen of everything. Purple velvet surplice top, V-neck, fitted sleeves with notches at the cuffs, empire waist, very full A-line skirt with a fantastic print somewhere between a psychedelic Rorschach test and a trippy topographic map, in purple orange red yellow blue and green. The top of the dress is lined, but not the skirt. The care label specifies dry clean only, but I’m really not sure of the fabric types. Nothing feels natural, ie not silk velvet and not cotton. Perhaps the top is a rayon velvet and the skirt a rayon challis? The dress closes via a back center zip and hook-and-eye. A real stunner. Measurements (taken flat and to be doubled, except for shoulder and length measurements) Shoulders: 14.5 inches Bust (at underarms): 17 inches Base of empire waist (6.25 inches below bust): 13 inches Length (center back): 53 inches Sleeve length: 21.5 inches Condition The dress is in very good condition. There is a bit of discoloration on the inside of the dress at the underarms (not seen on the outside). There were a few seam gaps, which I secured. The dress has been dry cleaned and will arrive ready to wear!
