Spathiphyllum wallisii, commonly known as peace lily, white sails, or spathe flower is a very popular indoor house plant of the family Araceae. A tropical addition to your home, you can't go wrong with this easy to grow houseplant. An absolute favourite of ours, the Peace Lily has got to be one of the most reliable and versatile indoor plants that you can get. Beautifully glossy, dark green leaves and large white flower spathes that last for weeks. Perfect for indoor growing, the Peace Lily has been shown in NASA studies to clean and purify the air in your home. Not only a beautiful houseguest, but it's also low maintenance and very easy to grow. Supplied as an established plant in a 14cm pot, plants will eventually reach around 1m (3ft) high and around 50cm (20in) wide. Peace lily, Spathiphyllum Alana, is a popular, low maintenance house plant with glossy green leaves and white flowers, called spathes. Native to central America, it’s used to a warm, humid environment and is perfect for growing in a bright bathroom. Peace lilies are easy to grow and relatively trouble-free. The name ‘peace lily’ relates to its white flowers, which are thought to look like white flags (a symbol of peace). Peace lily isn’t actually a lily but an arum and is in the same family as Zantedeschia and Lords and ladies (Arum maculatum) which we have available, as well as less obvious plants such as Swiss cheese plant (Monstera) which we have also have. Peace lilies are easy to grow, don’t need a lot of light, and help to clean and purify the air. Ideal if you do not have enough space for giant plants or as a gift (INDOOR ONLY} Position: Indirect light Soil: good potting compost Rate of growth: Fast Hardiness: tender (indoors only) Current height: approximately 50cm (+ or - 10% including the pot) Home Care: Water moderately during the warmer months, allowing the surface of the soil to dry out in between, but keep drier in the winter.
