You want to know how it’s done the 'celebrity', star-studded way? We have the gorgeous, adorably cheerful Keerthi Shanthanu, the bride who rocked media with a star-studded wedding, with her childhood friend, the handsome Shanthanu. Did you get enough time to do all the shopping amidst everything else? So you started off with the wedding invites? Although we had enough time to prepare for the wedding, the last minute thing gives a special rush to it I must say. Just three months before the wedding, I started off my shopping and met a few designers. We wanted traditional invites and who better than Sankeshwar! My dad and I approached them and they did a wonderful work. We’d like to hear all about the gorgeous Wedding saree and the pink Lehenga…Making a choice between Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad for shopping was in itself tough for me. Finally we did take a look of about 20 designers in Hyderabad but couldn’t decide on anything at all. However, Shanthanu liked his attire he picked from ‘Portfolio’ for the Cocktail Party. A month before the wedding I got my reception outfit, a pink and gold combination Lehenga designed and done by Anushree Reddy. My wedding saree was picked from Kumaran Silks in about a half hours’ time because I knew what I wanted. My blouse was designed by my mother-in-law’s ‘Shree’s Ethnic Trends’. My Hen’s Party attire was designed by the talented Sidney Sladen and my Mehendi attire was done by Swaadh Swapna and both did a beautiful job. Do give us Shanthanu’s Wardrobe Details! Since Shanthanu was busy with shooting schedules till the week before our wedding, my mother-in-law and I picked all his wedding outfits. He was not fussy about the selections and told us to handle everything. But me, I’m very picky about what I wear, even with my wardrobe for the TV shows. For the Wedding he wore a special Turban made out of a gold silk saree and had accessories detailed in his traditional silk shirt by my mother-in-law. His attire for the Reception was a dark blue and gold combination Sherwani, from Gatsby that complimented my Pink and Gold Lehenga. Favourite jewellery shops you chose… I love beautiful antique jewellery and my wedding jewellery was all from JCS Jewelry. My head piece for the wedding was rented from Swarna Prabhu, they do a great job with customizing jewellery according to how you want it to be. The Wedding! Our Wedding was beautiful. My make-up for the wedding was done by Lemi. Hair-do was by Kanagu. I did not have to worry about my wedding outfit since my mother-in-law and Viji aunty took care of all the details. Our wedding was at the Kerala House, Rina’s Venue in ECR. Our Photographers did an amazing and a very profound level job. We had Rakesh Prakash capturing all the Candid shots and Tamil Arasan who took care of the Conventional Photography. The Reception! It was organized at Sri Vari Kalyana Mandapam, which had their own Décor Directors but the designs were artistically done by my mother-in-law, Viji aunty and Manju aunty. My make-up was done by Ibrahim again. Ambika of Rachel’s did a great job on the Hair-Do. Although I missed Shanthanu while preparing with the wedding arrangements as he was away with shooting till a week before the wedding, I had my mother and my sister helping me with every smallest detail for the wedding. They both are a good combination of critics who helped me finalize with all the major decisions. Tell us something that was really emotional about your wedding… One emotional moment that I’ll always cherish like every other girl would, is the ‘Thali’ moment. Of course shifting to the in-laws house is another emotional scene that hits you hard. Well, I’m still in the process of shifting, not sure if that counts now. However, I’ve gotten comfortable living in my new home. In-laws who support my career and are more like my own family are sure precious. How did you celebrate your Thala Onam and Thala Diwali? A chance of celebrating festivals after you’re married is truly amazing. Our ‘Thala Onam’ was celebrated with yummy ‘Onam Sadhya’ at Brindha aunty’s place. Our ‘Thala Diwali’ was equally special with a great ‘Virundhu’ and a lot of crackers. This day was made even more special, with us, being able to visit an orphanage with sweets, crackers and biriyani. We had the pleasure of also ordering footwear for the children at the orphanage as they were in need of it. You want to know how it’s done the 'celebrity', star-studded way?
