so i threw a baby shower for daves sister, carrie, a couple weeks ago. it was held at her parents house in old hickory. these are some of the photos from carrie's camera (i was too busy to take any). im bummed we didnt get any good shots of the decorations- there were about 20 chinese lanterns that we strung across the ceiling and it looked really cool. heres the invitation- the layout was free (probably would have designed something myself but dont have photoshop), and i used pale pink paper i had leftover from wedding invitations. the favors were little bags of flower bulbs: and instead of traditional baby shower games, i decided to set up a "photo booth" for people to write messages to the baby, which i am working on putting into a book as a keepsake. here are a couple of the good ones: here is the menu for the food: Watermelon Lemonade Mint Limeade Blueberry scones Ham & Cheese Sliders (substituted smoked gruyere, omg so good) Ham, Leek, and Three-Cheese Quiche (substituted pancetta for ham) Mango, Jicama, and Corn Salad (substituted peaches for jicama- couldnt find any) Panzanella Danielle's Lemon Curd Cake danielle is a dear friend of mine from high school who does cakes as a hobby. she did an incredible job on this cake, which was based off of this cake (she matched the colors to the invitation perfectly and even made those lollypops), and it tasted freaking delicious. everyone was going nuts over this cake at the shower. i highly recommend her if anyone needs an incredibly affordable cake for a special occasion ([email protected]). Peggy's Strawberry Cheesecake Dip peggy had made this stuff for us before and i requested that she make it for the shower. it is so good and so easy. you use fresh strawberries, dip them in the cheesecake dip, and then into crushed graham crackers. i highly recommend the ham & cheese sliders, mint limeade, mango salad, and the cheesecake dip recipes. i really liked planning this party, but oh my god, it was so much work! even though i did a ton of prep it was still down to the wire at the end of whether everything was going to be done. everyone complimented everything very highly, and carrie liked the shower so it was definitely worth it. im already trying to figure out what party i can do next, hmm... anyone pregnant?

As soon as I heard about the latest trend happening at weddings and birthday parties I had to blog about it! Imagine having a photo booth at your party or wedding! Well, without the huge rental fees, you can! And all on a d.i.y. budget as a matter of fact! If you are looking to a have a huge wow factor then enlist the help of a carpenter or a handy man or handy woman to build you a faux wall. Make sure to have several cut outs in the wall for people to take pictures from. You will need some wallpaper of your choice, some frames (just take out the glass and backings) and voila, your very own photo booth. You can hire a photographer or loyal friend to be ready to capture the moments of guests posing! If you don't have large budget but want to create a simple photo booth, then here are some ideas. Hang a sheet (plain or patterned, depending on theme) on a clothes line or a sturdy wire. This will be your photo backdrop. Next compile a basket full of props, such as; faux mustaches, hats, masks etc. The guests can add some fun to their photos with the props and will give you a good laugh when going through the photos. Instead of hiring a photographer, set your camera up on a tripod with the timer setting on. And voila! Your very own photo booth of memories that will impress all your guests! I will be doing this for my son's 4th birthday party this summer. His birthday theme will be vintage carnival. The below pictures are my inspiration! I will make sure to post pictures from his party at a later date!

Mobile Lovers is now on display at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, Front Hall, Ground Floor An image of this street art work was posted on Banksy’s website on 14 April 2014. Fans of the Bristol born street artist’s work scoured the streets of the city to try and find where it had been painted. It was discovered on a wall in Clement Street, Bristol the following day. Staff from the nearby Broad Plain Boys Club removed the work safely from the wall and took it into the Club. Following intense media interest the Club has passed the artwork to Bristol Museum and Art Gallery for safe-keeping whilst its future is discussed. Here it joins Banksy’s ‘Paint-pot Angel’ which is a reminder of the hugely successful 'Banksy versus Bristol' Museum exhibition held in 2009. It will remain on view at the museum until its future is decided. Banksy’s global fame has in this instance drawn attention to the financial situation of the Broad Plains Youth Club which works with young people in the centre of the city. The Mayor had asked that people consider making a donation to the Club via a collection box, where thoughts about ‘Mobile Lovers' future could also be left. The collection has now ended. - BCC www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/art/10864981/Youth-club-boss-... — at Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery.

The layout of the previous kitchen meant that Sarah and Cath tangoed around each other to prepare dinner each evening, while the laundry boasted prime position, opening onto the outdoor entertaining space. That had to change, so the Bonnie and Ronnie dream team worked together to put the laundry bac

I already uploaded a Day 69 pic, but we ended up taking some more today, and this was was just too cool to not use. So, here is the new one. This is straight out of the camera -- the wifey blowing confetti out of her hand. We did a number of takes and tried a number of different focal points. This one came out just about perfect. Obviously pink confetti = girl :)
Daniel C. Howe, like joerg piringer and Erik Loyer, can be described as both an artist and a researcher. His homepage lists a number of projects, many in progress, some merely sketches, but he doesn’t make any clear division between research and art, not surprising given his array of degrees and residencies. An early project […]

Well...I'm finally getting around to showing you some pictures of my new A Gathering Place Booth at Serendipity Market in Edmond, Oklahoma! With the addition of some amazing pieces of vintage furniture I'm happy to say she's pretty well stocked for now...(we won't talk about my AGP WEBSITE...EEEEK!)! Here's a picture again of the space before we moved in! I know it's really hard to tell (photo at the top) with the light coming through the windows, but the store's windows (above) were accented with vintage doors and lots and lots of vintage shutters to diffuse the light. My Mr. AGPMan really outdid himself this time. He worked so hard on everything and somehow created this amazing wall/window area fashioned with only fabulous vintage architectural finds and a few pieces of new wood! What a man! WHAT A MAN! My guy was able to tie into the existing triangle pergola and thankfully it was possible to use almost all the previous pieces of framework used in my former space! Here's another picture that shows the vintage crochet lace pieces used to decorate the pergola. They help to hide the sometimes harsh florescent lighting on the ceiling while also adding a bit of romantic interest. This booth space has large terracotta colored tiles for the flooring and I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to move things around. We were so tired after moving in a couple of large pieces today that I only managed to snap a few pictures...I hope to share more with you soon. I've had the busiest month I think I've ever had since April 1st...at least since my daughter married in 2007! Owning a Booth, even a small one, is WORK! WORK! WORK! WORK! I'm finding out that I need to have something 'in the wings' at all times to replace large pieces of furniture at any given moment. Since I needed to be out of my previous Booth by April 30th it proved to be difficult to finish the pergola with all my STUFF around...somehow we did it! Exciting...but tiring! Here my guy is hard at work! I'm so blessed to have him as a husband, lover, business-partner and friend. Here's a better shot of the wall before all the product was put into place! I was so sick of painting trim-work and slats of wood I could have screamed! I'm sooo glad it's DONE! Here's a picture of my first Booth at Serendipity when I opened it March 1st of this year. A sweet little space but it proved to be wayyyy tooo small! I hope to show you more photos as the months go along. Of all the places I've ever had a shoppe (and I've had several!), Serendipity Market in Edmond, Oklahoma, is by far my favorite. The owners are wonderful (more than I could ask for) and my co-vendors are friendly and hard working! It's a very eclectic place to visit and a fabulous place to shop for home decor and fashions, too! Thank you for visiting and hanging with me while I've been MIA! Storms are ragging here in Oklahoma so I'm off until things clear up and the hail goes away. Love to you...
