Step One Start By Mixing Resin Part A With Resin Part B And Mix For Three Minutes. (If you want your Resin to be flexible only add half the Hardener instead of a 1:1 ratio). Once Three Minutes Is Up, Pour Mixture Into Molds. Step Two Let Dry Overnight. Step Three Take Super Glue And Glue Decorative Pieces Onto Piece. Let Dry Before Proceeding. Step Four Clean Entire Piece With Clean Slate. Step Five Paint A Base Coat With One Step Paint Color Of Your Choice And Let Dry. Step Six Add One Coat Of Cracked Gesso On Top And Let Dry Step Seven Choose Two Colors Of Milk Paint And Mix Each Color With Water And Stir Until Paste-Like Consistency. Step Eight Paint Onto Piece Over The Cracked Gesso (Mary used a lighter color on the Decorative Mold and a darker color on the rest of the piece) Step Nine Once Dry, Cover Piece With Antiquing Glaze. (Mary used a sponge for this) Step Ten Once Dry, Apply Light Antiquing Wax After Offloading Onto Cardboard. Let Come To Tack. Step Eleven With A Very Light Hand, Repeat Step Ten But With Dark Wax. Just Hit The Edges And Corners. Let Come To Tack. Step Twelve Finally, Use Dust of Ages And Apply Over Entire Piece. Our silicone molds have a natural release and do not stick. Simply pour in your mixture of 2 parts resin with 1 part hardener, and mix well for 3 minutes. Pour into the mold and allow to dry overnight. Pop out your design and apply with super glue to your frame, furniture, or decorative object. The detail on our molds will be quite exquisite due to the depth in each. You can use these molds over and over again. Using the Resin recipe with only half the hardener will allow your designs to be flexible and be placed beautifully over curved surfaces. If you prefer using air dry clay in lieu of resin, you will notice some shrinkage and cracking. Be aware that air dry clay will not give you the detail that you can get with Resin. Amy loves using Decorative Molds for baking: adding detail to cookies, cakes, etc. We suggest keeping your food molds separate from ones that you prefer to use for painting and creating.
