Captured in the emotive style of Expressionism, this exquisite print translates the ethereal beauty of Sunbeams on Loch Lomond into vibrant hues and dynamic brushstrokes. The visual narrative opens with a majestic sun casting its golden radiance through a break in the clouds. The beams reach earthward, gracing the undulating landscape with a divine glow, and casting the loch beneath in a kaleidoscope of reflections. Resplendent purples, radiant oranges, and warm yellows blend harmoniously upon the water's surface, mimicking the sunrise spectacle above. A solitary sailing boat, enveloped in the tranquillity of the loch's embrace, provides a serene focal point amidst the spectacle of light and colour. The surrounding mountains rise grandly, their peaks touched by the dawn's early light, as shadows weave through their valleys, adding depth and contrast to the scene. The sharp contrasts and fluid lines characteristic of Expressionism breathe life into the print, inviting the onlooker to not only see but to feel the magnificence of Loch Lomond's awakening. This piece, hailing from our 'Loch Lomond' collection, is not merely a visual delight—it is an invitation to wander into a world where nature and emotion intertwine in a dance as timeless as the Scottish loch itself.
I finally got my shit together to re-work a draft I started way back in Spring of 2016 on the Japanese dance style known as Butoh . I took a huge pause with Butoh because I found myself at a loss. I don't know anything about the Japanese worldview, nor do I know much about post-war Japan;&nbs

The vernal equinox occurs today at 12:15 Eastern Daylight Time. That's when the earth reaches the spot in its revolution around the sun where the planet's tilt causes the direct line of the sun to cross the equator from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere. So we have reached the point where the Northern Hemisphere will have days longer than nights. But the important part is that today is when winter ends and spring begins! The equinox involves science, space, weather, history, folklore, an...
