Many people think that meditation is a state of thoughtfulness. This is not so. Meditation is the state opposite to thoughtfulness. Not everyone can control their thoughts. Not everyone can manage their thoughts. As a rule, when paying attention to your state of mind you can notice a continuous inner dialogue taking place inside. Meditation is a way to liberate your mind from the annoying noise of your thoughts. Meditation is inner silence, thoughtless state of mind.

Invitation to participate in a new creative venture A few months ago, our publicist suggested that we start a First Look Club on different Rassouli's websites. At the time, we had no idea how people would respond or where this would lead. At the beginning of this year, Rassouli decided to share his latest artwork and invite people from different parts of the world to respond to the visual concept of the painting, and if they were interested, to suggest titles for the painting. The wonderful responses we have received have been a guide to take us to a different level, which seems to be the developing movement of Fusionart itself. At the time, Rassouli suggested the idea of developing a community, in which those of you who are interested in the creative process could respond to one of his artworks with insights and comments, but more importantly, it would also allow you to share a creative work of your own related to the theme of the painting if you choose. Enough of you indicated that you would enjoy this process, so we are posting a new painting here on this site for you to have the opportunity to share your own creative responses as well as your own creations with others. You can respond in whatever way feels most natural to you. For example, you could come up with a title for the artwork, or create a poem, a song, some original music, drawings, a story, or an image of a sculpture you might do around the theme. You could even share some creative cuisine that you develop, share photographs, clothing designed by you, images of gardens, or any way that you express yourself creatively that seems to develop from the theme the painting suggests to you. What would make it interesting is the unity that could develop through the variety of creative expression that we share with each other, each from our own unique perspective and feelings. As we continue this process, hopefully it will also help to develop our ability to express what is important to us and encourage us to become more creative in how we relate to others and how we live our lives. Here is a painting by Rassouli that we would like to share for the month of February. We invite you to participate in this creative exchange if it attracts or interests you. You can email your reactions and creative expressions to us, and we will post and share them with you here on this blog.
