This is a PDF file and a tester lookbook - the pdf file has a google slides/google sheets link to use aswell. There is a graded option and a made to measure option - see detail on pictures For the made to measure option, you will need to measure your body using the guide I have put in the pattern and input this, along with swatch sizes into the google sheets file (linked in the pdf) which will give you exact corresponding numbers to steps in the pattern. it is all explained in the pdf file :) - but feel free to message me if you have any questions. This top is knitted in the round for the ribbing and then, raglan style for the sleeves and body. For the made to measure you can use any yarn and size needles you would like and is customisable in length and fit - there are video guides for some steps in the pattern. The spreadsheet will tell you estimates of yarn needed based on your body measurements and the yarn you are using!! finally - a massive thank you to my amazing testers - loved working with all of them.

The original owner marked 'Nice Fit' on this pattern, and I couldn't agree more. This cardigan just screams 'pin-up' and would look perfect with a wiggle skirt. Raglan sleeves end in fold over cuffs, while the slipped stitch pattern adds interest to spice up an easy knit. To Fit: 34, 36 and 38 inch busts. Yarn: The pattern requires 10 (11,12) ounces of Motoravia Doubleknitting Yarn. According to Ravelry, this is a worsted weight. Needles: 5mm and 6.5mm needles. This listing is for the above PDF pattern, available by Instant Download. I can also email it to you instead if requested. *************************** Need help resizing a vintage pattern? Named for the famous aria sung by the title character in the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet, the Habañera sweater is a top-down, seamless pullover worked in the round with either short or ¾ raglan sleeves. The lace cowl is worked flat separately, and sewn to the neckline after blocking. The pattern includes a general How-To for inserting Horizontal Bust Darts to the pullover for further tailoring. While the body of the sweater is straightforward, take your time with the cowl. It is worked separately & is constructed by first knitting the outer lace edging, then picking up stitches along this edging to work Barbara Walker’s Roman Stripe lace pattern. However, the get the cowl the to lay just right when worn, there is shaping within the Roman Stripe lace. Shaping within lace?? Yes, and it can take some extra attention--use sticky notes, highlighter tape, etc…to keep track of what row you are on (because all those yarn overs can make me cross-eyed, too!), and remember to breath. It’s a small piece, and the results are worth it! Shaping to the waist and hips is accomplished along princess “seams” to allow for maximum customization, and it is recommended that the sweater be worn with 0-2” of negative ease at the bust (ie. With the pullover measuring 0-2” less than your measurement at the full-bust). Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows/4 inches (after blocking) in stst on size 5 needle (or size to obtain gauge). Sizes: 29(32, 35, 38, 41, 45, 47, 50)” bust. Finished bust measurements: 29.3(32, 35.3, 38, 41.3, 44, 47.3, 50)”. Short-Sleeved Version: 2(3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5) skeins Astral Bath Vesper (437 yards/skein), or approximately 825(910, 1025, 1170, 1300, 1450, 1650, 1720) yards fingering weight yarn. ¾ -Sleeved Version: 3(4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins Plucky Primo Fingering (385 yds/101 g), or approximately 1100(1200, 1300, 1420, 1550, 1675, 1800, 1900) yards of fingering weight yarn. Both Habanera and Chanteuse pullovers are available on Ravelry in the Habanera/Chanteuse ebook. Because both have nearly-identical sweater bodies, you get both patterns for the typical price of a Lyrical Knits sweater pattern.

ERRATUM Oct 2021 There is an extra dec mistakenly given on row 1 of Right Sleeve raglan shaping - the row should read Row 1 (RS) K to last 5 sts, skpo, K3. *Great news!** April 2021** - I’ve added some extra sizes which are in a separate pattern. You will be able to buy either pattern at checkout - check that you select the correct size. So the first pattern is for bust sizes 32 - 42ins/81.5-106.5cm. The yardage for 2 ends Rowan Fine Lace worked together is 2000 - 2800m. See note below re a 4ply yarn. The second pattern is for sizes 44-52ins/112-132cm. The yardage is 2800 - 3600m Both patterns have charts for optional lace panels (see image of red garment). Update April 2019 Single pattern available. I’ve re-knitted the cardi using a bright red Rowan Finest (sadly now discontinued), adding a lace panel at the back and on the sleeves (see photos to left) The pattern has been revised to include charts for these. Size 34ins took 290g Finest (1140m)- Merino Superwash Wool (50%),Alpaca (30%),Cashmere (20%) Inspired by the 18th century short jacket, this classic wrap cardigan is cropped, and would look great worn over an Empire line, high-waisted dress, or as part of a layered outfit. Knitted in a beautiful, soft alpaca mix yarn, it is a modern twist on the classic ballet-wrap. There is now a Ravelry group for A Handknit Romance. Two ends of lace yarn used together, or 4ply one end can be used. For help with pattern contact me at [email protected]

Killing Me Softly Sweater Knitting Pattern (English) Killing Me Softly Sweater is a raglan sweater with a moderate positive ease. The sweater is knit from the top down with raglan increases. The pattern structure is made by elongated stitches. First of the neckband is worked in ribbing, folded to the back and knit together. Then continue straight to the yoke beginning with a few short rows to shape the back of the neck. After working all raglan increases, the work is divided into sleeves and body and finished individually with a ribbing trim at the bottom. Choice of size The sweater has a positive ease of 10-15 cm. This means you should choose the size measuring 10-15 cm more than your chest circumference. If your chest measures 96 cm, you should choose a size M with a circumference of 110 cm. Size XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) XXXL Fits chest measuring 80-87 (88-93) 94-99 (100-107) 108-116 (117-126) 127-136 cm Circumference 99 (104,5) 110 (115,5) 121 (131) 140 cm Length Length (measured centre back, neckband excluded) 52 (54) 56 (58) 60 (62) 64 cm Knitting gauge 11 stitches • 17 rows of stockinette on a 7 mm needle = 10 • 10 cm Suggested needles Circular needle 5 mm (40 cm and double pointed needles unless the magic loop method is being used) and 7 mm (40, 80-100 cm) Materials 1 strand Chunky Mohair (200m/100g) from Handdyed.dk held together with 1 strand Merino Singles (800m/100g) from Handdyed.dk (You can leave out the merino for a lighter feel) Chunky Mohair: 200 (250) 300 (350) 400 (450) 500 g Merino Singles: 50 (62,5) 75 (87,5) 100 (112,5) 125 g
