Much like an embrace from a loved one, sleeping with a weighted blanket promotes a naturally deeper sleep, peace of mind and stimulates joy-inducing hormones. The hand-knitted Bearaby TENCEL™ Weighted Blanket's breathable multi-layered yarn invites you to wrap yourself up and melt in its lush embrace. KEY DETAILS 48% TENCEL™, 47% organic cotton, 5% spandex. Textiles of TENCEL™ are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen. Sold individually. Blankets are hand knitted and both size and weight can vary slightly. Weighted blankets should be roughly 10% of your body weight (i.e. 150 lbs body weight = 15 lb blanket weight). If you are in between weight categories (i.e. 170 lbs), we recommend to go with the next higher weight category (i.e. 20 lb). Made in India.
I remember rainy days sitting next to my mother's sewing table as she worked on endless quilting projects, mending torn hems, and making crafty gifts for her friends and family. She had the most beautiful pin cushion given to her by her own mother, and it fueled her desire to continue her sewing habits each time she used it and remembered my late grandmother. An artist is made up of their imagination, their passion, skill, and their tools. Invest in beautiful tools like this Pewter Bird Pin Cushion, and pass it on for generations to come. - DETAILS - Set of 2 pins included. Measures 3" x 1.5" x 2.75". Made of pewter with a gold finish. Made in the U.S.A. Shop our embroidery collection here.
5.5 inches of rain has fallen since Thanksgiving evening – what a long 4 day weekend that was. Thankfully the rain should stop this morning – the weatherman said we will get a little bit of spotty…
I wanted to post a few photos of my new Primitive Threads quilt in progress. The quilt center is pieced and the borders are next. Laying out all the blocks on the design wall is so exciting because you really get your first look at what the quilt will really look like. I am really loving how the prints and colors are blending. Some of the neutrals are colored way more yellow in the photos than what they really are. I didn't have much time to play with lighting and angles as we just had to get it pieced and off to Val for quilting. Once it's quilted and back home, I will do a better job with photos. I can hardly wait! Primitive Threads will be delivered to your local quilt shop late May/early June!! The three quilts for my new Tokens of the Past pattern, called Yuletide Greetings are now all quilted and bound. I hope to have (good) photos of them for my next post. Be well.....and happy stitching!
