Vintage Delaware and Hudson Line or D &H Railroad lantern. This lantern was made The Adams & Westlake Co. and the top of the lantern is marked with the company name and also underneath, the D & H Co. which is the Delaware and Hudson railroad line for whom the lantern was made. Beneath it says, Adlake No 250 Kero, and New York - Chicago - Phila. Around the outer edge of the lid it is marked with patent dates, the most recent is 1923. Measurements: (approximately) lamp: 9 & 3/4" tall, 14" with handle base: 6" in diameter Condition of this lantern is good; it does have rust but could be cleaned further, glass is perfect. The Delaware and Hudson was believed by some to be one of the longest-operating class I railroads in American history. Awesome piece of American Railroad history! Thanks for looking! RARE Adlake No. 250 stamped D & H Co. (Delaware & Hudson Railroad) Railroad Signal Lamp. In great condition no rust, globe is perfect & marked Adlake Kero, no missing pieces/components. Obtained from a high end railroad lamp collection, the collector’s uncle obtained this piece while working as an train engineer for Delaware Rail Lines (DL).
