A B O U T T H E LIVE WEDDING GUEST ILLUSTRATION I come to your special event and work live and create portraits of your guests. These are custom, original, and hand painted watercolor fashion illustrations of your event guests. I use 100% cotton paper (90LB / 250G) and HOLBEIN, WINDSOR NEWTON watercolor paint, and CRAYON D’ACHE watercolor pencils. O P T I O N S NO FACIAL DETAILS ONLY or FACIAL DETAILS CUSTOMIZE WITH YOUR CHOICE OF WORDING AND NAMES: Write to me for a quote! Prices start at $2500 for events. N O T E I come to your event and create these in real time. If you have any questions about this, feel free to message me and I will try to answer your questions. T H E C R E A T I V E P R O C E S S HOW DOES IT WORK? I arrive 1 hour prior to your drinks reception to get set up. I bring all of my supplies with the exception of a table and a chair. I will bring a sign that explains to guests what I am doing and how they can participate. They will be happy to know that they will not be asked to stand in front of me while I paint them. Instead, I ask them to pose for a photo. I take that photo and use it for reference while they get to enjoy the reception. During the reception, I take photos and meet the guests and paint. Over the course of 5 hours I can paint roughly 40 guests. I can then move my set-up into the dinner and guests can come over throughout the evening. I keep painting as many as possible for the duration of time you’ve chosen. I enclose the final pictures in a protective sleeve and display it on the table. This becomes a tiny pop-up gallery for your guests. They love looking at these during the meal as they recognize themselves and others. They are free to take their own as soon as it’s complete. WILL YOU TRAVEL? Yes! Here is the cost breakdown for travel $100 per hour after the first 50 miles Over two hours of traveling require one-night lodging compensation of $290 Over four hours of traveling require two-night lodging compensation of $500 If you need the painting to be shipped or delivered, it's an additional $150. Extra travel costs may include airfare if discussed in advance Holiday rates are 1.5X of the original rates HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU DRAW IN AN HOUR? I can complete a portrait in approximately 6-10 minutes. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN A SINGLE PORTRAIT? No more than two people can be in a single portrait. DO YOU GO AROUND THE EVENT OR DO PEOPLE COME TO YOU? Guests come to me! I ask you to have the venue set up a table and chair for me in a spot that is out of the way yet easy to spot. As I am going to be taking photos and working from them, the line should be minimal. DO GUESTS NEED TO SIT OR STAND WHILE THEY ARE BEING SKETCHED? I prefer if guests are standing so I can sketch their outfits. CAN GUESTS WATCH YOU WORK? Absolutely! I love an audience and I will chat with your guests and explain my process and even allow them to give it a go, time permitting. WHAT TYPE OF MEDIA DO YOU USE? I use watercolors, ink, pencil, and acid free paper. DOES THE PAINT NEED TIME TO DRY? Watercolor paint needs minimal time to dry. Depending on the humidity in the room, it can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. CAN THE PAPER BE CUSTOMIZED? Absolutely! It is possible to brand the paper with your logo and/or names. There is an additional charge of $150 and I will need the digital file 4 weeks before the event. DO YOU HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE? Yes! I carry standard liability insurance. THIS SOUNDS GREAT! HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Based on doing 6-10 portraits per hour: 5 hours: $2500 6 hours: $3000 I am available anywhere from 3-6 hours on-site. On average, I can draw 1 guest in roughly 5-6 minutes & 2 guests in roughly 9-11 minutes. Please take into account transition times between each guest/drawing. I can draw approximately 4-6 couples or 8-10 guests per hour. Depending on your wedding guest list size, not all guests may get drawn. Please keep in mind, not everyone will ask for a portrait as well. I do offer an add-on package that will cover additional portraits to be completed after your wedding and mailed directly to you to include in their thank you card. O T H E R S E R V I C E S I can digitalize your painting in JPG or PNG. I also offer a gift certificate option towards a custom house or pet portrait. F I N D M E Instagram - @molliefoxstudio
