We’re especially in love with the edible recreation of our favorite vintage Pyrex dishes.
So I was going to wait until the sun was shining...it's not gonna happen for awhile. So I did a photo shoot on a rainy day. I don't pick up to many new things at the thrift anymore, but I sure love rearranging and photographing what I have! Enjoy. All the Pyrex pieces in the pics were thrifted except for the aqua fridgie which was a gift and the Pink Scroll which I purchased on vacation. Most pieces cost about $5.00. I am a very thrifty thrifter! My vintage plate collection. Time to change out my favorite shelf which is in my kitchen My vintage linen collection I recently purged and kept only my favorites and sold the rest...sending my kids to camp and purchased a couple things. The salt and pepper were only $9.99 at a thrift! I love this mixer because it all started with the large mixing bowl that belonged to my grandma. I found all the pieces (small bowl, mixer, guide, and beaters) separately at different thrifts within 4 months! I purchased this vintage jar from the antique mall I sell too. Perfect for my loose tea addiction! I don't know why I love this display so much but it makes me happy! wish I didn't have to use the flash in this one!
My favorite colors in the best possible way. Turquoise 401, 402, 404 Friendship 401, 403 blogged
It's done! It's finally done! As is true with most of my craft projects, it took me forever to finish this cross stitch. I had no idea what it would look like when I first started designing it, but I'm mostly happy with the result. There are a few changes I'd like to make - the Spring Blossom flowers, the shape of the dishes, and just a bit of tweaking with the border - but for now I'm just happy it is finished and up on my wall. I promised to post a pattern when I finished, so here it is! I'll also post a link on my sidebar. I hope that you enjoy it if you try it out. Feel free to send some feedback my way if you'd like as this is my first pattern.

Vintage Pyrex is very popular right now. Is it safe to use though? Can vintage pyrex have lead? It's possible but don't throw it out just yet.
No more Pyrex TikTok, but the fun will still continue on my vintage blog, Perennial Vintage Supply.
I bet by the look of that title you thought this would be some sappy, squishy post about peace and love and wah wah wah. Nope, sorry! While those things are great (but come one, I'm not a beauty queen) :) Pyrex is what I was alluding to. I'm excited (probably a bit overly, but who cares) to share with everyone my very first Friendship find! Check it out: For a little bit there I was getting pretty jealous of those who found this pattern because I had never seen it in the thrifts and it seemed like everyone else saw it all the time. Then this week I've seen it twice with the first being a painfully over priced beat up set in a Denver thrift (in the case even) and then this! Shut up! I can hardly contain myself. This is my very favorite non-turquoise/black pattern because it is so fun and whimsical. Doesn't it look stunning with Turquoise? This is from Froog and Doog, she has an amazing collection! It would probably look really cool with my collection... That is the inner hoarder talking again. Back damn you, back!!! Geez... Anyway, it's going to the booth as soon as the roads melt enough for me to get it there.
I have been so busy being out of the country and whatnot I haven't had a chance to post my latest Pyrex acquisitions. I didn't get these all at once. These are about eight months of collecting. People ask me how I get such great pieces. It's my mom! She is so good at spotting them at yard sales and auctions. She rocks. Of course she would pass out if she saw I was actually using some of these. I broke a pitcher this week! :( These are some of my favorites here. Basically, I love turquoise and anything with a carrier. The cream of the crop is the Corning Glass Works casserole from Greencastle, PA which is very close to my hometown.
Wow, you've found an amazingly well preserved Pyrex Casserole dish in the rare PINK Butterprint pattern! This listing is for the one pint casserole (471). The casserole is in excellent vintage condition and looks as though it may have never been used. The paint looks to be completely intact. The lids are also chip free with bright clear glass. Overall, this dish is amazingly very well maintained and would so darling on display!!!pyrex
If your decorating style leans more toward Mad Men than French farmhouse, I’ll bet good money that you have a piece of Pyrex bakeware stashed somewhere in your house. It might have been your mother’s mixing bowl or your grandmother’s casserole, but these days it’s just as likely that you scored the piece from Etsy or from a vintage seller you found on Instagram.
Here is a picture everyone will like. I saw it on Facebook. I "Like" a page called "Dusty Old Thing.com". They post pictures of other peoples antiques. And, from a completely different period, we can all say "wow" at Terry Morrison's vintage pink Pyrex collection! Pyrex, by the Corning Glass Company, was introduced in its clear form in 1915. The very popular pieces in colors like Terry's pink entered the market in 1947, making it now officially vintage. Many of the pink pieces were introduced in the 1950's and were very popular. Fortunately today there are many websites about Pyrex and collector clubs to assist those who love it. It is also still functional...a real attraction for families wanting to re-create the feel of days gone by.

Every once in a while I happen upon an article that confirms my thoughts about an item. Take, for example, my Pyrex pattern. My grandmother’s hand-me-downs were solids, so I was primed for on…

Hi! I’m Sherry and as a new member of The Pyrex Collective, I thought I would share with you a piece of Pyrex that I found just yesterday at a local thrift store. It is a 1-1/2 quart divided Cinderella oval casserole. I was thrilled that it was in great shape and that it came with a lid. Having never seen this pattern before, I flipped through my copy of Barbara Mauzy’s book on Pyrex but it wasn’t there. Then I checked the PyreXFiles and found that it was a 1961 promotional piece called Royal Wheat. While searching for the identity of this casserole, I found that I have several other promotional pieces, but I’ll post about them later after I get some decent pictures. If you would like to read about other vintage items I’ve found, including Pyrex, please visit my blog, Back 2 Vintage. The knowledge of the followers of The Collective is amazing and your enthusiasm is addictive. I look forward to learning from each of you and sharing my finds.
Ok, ok, one of these fridgies is an imposter, lol. Still need the Snowflake Blue 502, this one is either a Horizon blue or a Primary.
